I picked up my truck after hours because I wanted to start moving early the next morning. The truck was hard to find. The lock was hard to open in order to get the keys. I had to call customer service and was on hold for 20 minutes. The appliance dolly and furniture pads were not in the truck. I had to go back the next morning and pick up the items. I was told I would not be charged for the appliance dolly and furniture pads and I would get a credit for the mileage. I paid for both and did not receive a credit for the mileage. I was charged for the mileage I used to come back and get the items I reserved.

Do more thorough inspection of equipment, tires taillights and such! First contract was on a trailer that wasn't there, second contract was on trailer that had missing taillights and third contract was on a trailer with bald tires! Also your employee acted as if I were an inconvenience! Maybe he was just having a bad day....but your employees at the Chandler and Kyrene facility are much more friendly and accommodating! All in all I will still use your services👍

Truck was new and clean but I had a severe issue with filling the gas tank. I did this immediately after picking up the tuck to have a full tank for my move. Something was wrong with the downspout into the gas tank and would only allow very small amounts of gas to be dispensed at a time. This made for filling the tank on the trip very time consuming. This should have been discovered before the truck was leased out for rental.

The 5' x 8' trailer we rented did not have a functioning driver side tail light. We noticed that when we stopped at a convenience store. We drove back to U-Haul and got another 5'x8' trailer. The chain attaching this trailer to my vehicle was barely above the road and when we loaded the trailer it dragged on the road. So we had to adjust/tighten that ourselves. So there seems to be a quality control issue with U-Haul.

Have working equipment. I had to wait over an hour for just working equipment and then the other person that works there came over and demanded I open the hood of my truck and hand him the truck manual. I assured him there is nothing wrong with my truck, he needed to get yet another wiring attachment for the lights. On the 4th try, he had me try another trailer and "most" of the lights worked....really?? I have rented from different locations of Uhaul for years and I can tell you that I'll NEVER do it again. Not to mention the rate of the trailer was $1000.00 with a deposit for using my "debit card". I've never rented a truck for this much let alone the trailer, but being on the holidays that Uhaul certainly capitalized on the situation. I will tell everyone I know about this experience so that they are not treated the same way. I'm in the Real Estate business as well.

Someone input the odometer wrong so when I returned the equipment, I was charged for 3x the miles I drove. Also, the truck thrust forward when pushing the brake, unless I put it in neutral. When telling this to the attendant, they asked if they should make a note of it.

This comment is not about the Elliot location, but an overall complaint. UHaul advertises that we can change drop off locations, however, the process was challenging and could not be done when I needed it. I called one person who told me he couldn't make the change and I would need to call someone else in the morning. He couldn't tell me why. I then did a chat with a rep, who told me the same thing, however, she was kind enough to explain that the place I now wanted to drop at was not in the same region. All locations were in the surrounding Phoenix area. I don't understand why. So, instead of driving 2 miles to my second location, I needed to go back to my first location 20+ miles away and 40 miles in the wrong direction of my home. For advertising that I can change drop off locations, UHaul did not follow through.

I did a 24-7 reservation placed at noon on 12/24. Arriving 6:30am for pick up on 6/24 the vehicle was not parked ehere reservation said. Keys were not in lockbox. The Assistant Manager, Heather, would not even talk to me as she cleaned vehicles and tossing about company equipment and told me I would not be asssisted until 7am the opening time. She saw my reservation in my gand aa I pleaded having had the 6:30am pick up. Only after 7am she assisted me and as I aared my frustration she threatened to terminate my reservation. Uhaul needs to review her as she would be the poster child for horrible customer service and it was obvious the morning and afternoon team had nothing good to say about her.

Extremely poor customer service rude, obnoxious, impatient....if u had a employee who acted like this they would be fired on the spot! She was there Friday morning about 1030.

Used a tow trailer. Had difficulty attaching chains to frame as one seemed too short. Drove to pick-up location with tires tied down and one chain attached. Had service personnel look at it. Backed car off tow and back on, loosening chains. Strapped down tires and attached chains. (Apparently two trailer was not straight when loading car, causing one of the chains to be too tight to unhook. Surprised personnel were unaware of this situation.)

I went to this location in person only to wait about 20 minutes for assistance and when I requested for a trailer to use for moving, I was setup with a truck and cargo box. I just needed a utility trailer. I used the app to make my own reservation and cancelled the original one. When I picked up equipment my card was charged and when returning the equipment the same person who made the mistake on my order couldn't help with unhooking the trailer and was asked to unhook it myself bc he was alone. I was then charged a second time for the rental equipment. I would like to request for a full refund as my experience was not good at all.

When I pulled in their was no one around except one guy was cleaning out the back of a truck, when I pulled up he told me I had to wait behind several trucks parked in the yard. No one came to help me, I left my pickup and went back to where the yardman was, he was still cleaning the truck, no intenion of helping me. Went to the office and got a ear full about not having a mask on. Well, I wouldnt need a mask if someone would help me drop the trailer in the yard. I usually use the Kyrene / Chandler Uhaul, going back there next time, they make it a point to get me on my way quickly.

available vehicles have to be in location, as per my request vehicle that was shown available was not but let me choose it anyways.This was a inconvenience for me since the one i chose was closest to my house which would result in less mile for me and the alternative dropoff was not chosen because of this. That is the only concern i have.

The young man i returned the Van to, was very respectful, friendly and attentive. Because of this my experience was amazing. It's very rare these days to be treated so wonderfully. Kudos to Uhaul for hiring this gentleman!

I reserved a trailer for pickup on 11/15. When I got there, they said we don't have it. They didn't give me any options, just that they didn't have it. Only after raising my voice were they able to offer additional options like a larger trailer, which I am sure I paid for even though I didn't need it. The guys eventually came through, but not a good experience.

The agent told me that I needed a different credit card. I told him that I had used this same card at this location on two occasions before in the last 3 months. He argued with me and said that it wasn't at the same location. I showed him my confirmation from before at his location. Another agent then said my card would work and after after making me wait for a while she ran it through. My biggest issue was with the first agent who said that I was never at that location. He was very rude. I will avoid this location in the future even though it is the closest one to my home.

The man working there DID NOT give me a checklist...He said,just go...When I returned the truck another man "your good"....I wanted him to check truck,but he was busy!! We returned the truck with a full tank of gas.they charged me 30.00!!! After several phones to them,they didn't reply.I will never recommend them,or use them again...poor customer service!!!!

I was rented a truck that had been reported stolen and was falsely arrested because of it. The manager at the location ( didn't get her name but she had purple hair) was very rude. She did issue a refund but was extremely rude about it. After having 7 guns in my face and getting hand cuffed and tossed on the ground it was a totally unacceptable way to act.

I encountered several problems. First, the employees were complaining like they preferred to not be there: “...today's not a good day.” Secondly, my trailer was attached to my car with only one support chain vs. two and the chain was dragging the ground while I was driving. Lastly, when I returned the trailer to a destination UHaul, they mentioned that whoever attached the trailer did a horrible job. Nothing worked right, from the card swipe machines to the employees.

Tell them to check their vehicle in online when returning after hours. I was only able to get a vehicle at 3:30 in the afternoon. No one told me to check it in online. The man that checked us out did not tell us, but he knew we were returning the truck after hours. They only said there was a key drop. Think U-haul is not a place to rent from when you are unfamiliar with renting and in a hurry.

Used this place 3-4 times in the last 3 years and this location has always been outstanding. The equipment is well maintained, they always have trucks of various sizes available, customer service is on POINT every single time, and they have 24/7 return! Love this location.

Upon arrival, the two guys who working behind the desk were both lethargic and couldn't put their phones down as they were playing video games. Literally playing the game on his phone as he's trying to prepare my paperwork. After the paperwork was processed and the trailer was hooked up, he informed me that he rented me the wrong trailer. Because again, he couldn't put his dam phone down. I pulled back up to the office to get the correct paperwork and he's walking up the driveway without a care in the world, face glued to his phone playing his game. Finally got the papers and left. When bringing the trailer back, they couldn't be bothered with checking the trailer or even disconnecting it for that matter. I was told to back it up, disconnect it and I could leave. I understand that in an increasingly over populating world that professionalism is a dying art, but at least make an attempt.

Online check-in is a waste of time when you only have one person to collect keys from, and you are stuck in a queue with others that have not checked in online. Person who gave me the keys was unable to understand fractions, insisting the gas tank was 13/16ths full, despite the fact that the gauge was below the 3/4 mark. I was also given the utility dolly, despite paying for an appliance dollar, but decided against returning to the facility as it would negate the $3 loss in hire costs.

Dont overbook and ask your customer you left out in the cold to settle for a 10ft truck with no ramp. Yes the local desk person did give a mileage discount which soothed the problem a little.
