There were several complications - My pick up location kept changing and every time I called and spoke to someone, things got more confusing. The pick up location changed the day of pick up. And then when I called to confirm, I was sent to a yet another location. When we called that location, we were told our reservation had been cancelled. There were discrepancies between what was on the website and what emails I received. After we picked up the truck, I got an email saying my new reservation was going to need to be picked up in two hoursâ€¦ This was honestly a nightmare.Hope G.

There was a woman with glasses at the counter that was extremely rude. She doesn't explain the process so I was unsure of what was going on and then she was assisting about three different people at a time. It was very disorganized and then she had a bad attitude on top of it. The young man in the lot was extremely helpful and polite so that made it a little better. But that woman definitely needs some customer service training! It was very unpleasant dealing with her.DIANA A.

The woman working the counter was absolutely horrible. I'm going to call corporate to further make a complaint against her. She made me wait outside the store for about 5 minutes while she was on a personal cell phone call. Eventually after 5 minutes I greeted her with the words "good morning" and asked if she could please help me get my key since I had completed everything on the mobile app already. She was hostile, standoffish , & enraged that I interrupted her personal cell phone call after waiting for her for 5 minutes. I asked for her help and also said the words "please" & "thank you" to her. She then replied for me "to get out of her face". She asked me to "get my phone out of her face" several times as I was trying to show her that they key code was on my phone screen. I NEVER make complaints like this. Seriously such a horrible experience. Rude. Unprofessional. Raising her voice to me. Making me wait outside the store for 5 mins while she's on a personal phone call. Wow this woman should not be working for you guys or anywhere in customer service for that matter. I really hope someone reads this and talks to her about our interaction. I've employed customer service workers for 15 years. If any of my employees acted in the manner that she did, they would be gone immediately. I'm a generally polite/well mannered person. I Made a reservation for a truck, that wasn't available when I arrived, and no one contacted me. I finally got a truck 2.5 hours later causing a huge delay in my moving process and ultimately leaving me with a higher fee because i was charged for two days, which was NEVER explained to me by the rep, who only gave me instructions on how to return the truck after closing, NEVER that I'd be charged more... Only one employee on the craziest move date of the year july 31â€¦ my rental at another location wat closer to me was moved to the Flatbush uhaul because of â€œequipmentâ€availability. I needed a 15 or 17 foot truck for my move but only a 10 footer was availableâ€¦ I could have picked up a 10 foot truck 3 blocks from my apartment. Not only did I have to go all the way to Flatbush for pickup and returnâ€¦ they didn't even have the equipment promised to me when the moved my reservation! My order should have been mobile pickup but the system didn't work as the Flatbush location failed to assign a truck to my orderâ€¦ likely because they didn't have the truck that was promised to me! It took an extra trip because of the small truckâ€¦ the poor employee at the Flatbush location was very sweet and I hope that she gets help there soon!Anthony S.

I had to wait 2 hours to receive a vehicle. I had reserved a vehicle but due to other customers not returning theirs on time, multiple people in front of me had to wait as well. This was on the last day of June, and was of course a big moving day. I would recommend UHAUL to not allow customers to extend their vehicles if this is going to be an issue. If someone did not return their truck right when I reached the desk, I have no idea what my outcome would have been. The employees were all very nice, but this process took FOREVER. I would recommend this location NOT on the last day of the month for moving.Katie S.
Make sure Air Conditioner is working in all trucks before renting. I had to drive NY to TX with no AC. Why couldn't this location apply a Freon boost to the AC system in my truck? They simply said, â€œThere's nothing we can doâ€. Lazy attempt. Also, make sure that trailer lights wiring, connections, and relays are working in all trucks before renting. I was delayed for several hours because wiring/relay was not working causing the trailer lights to not turn on when braking and signaling which is illegal. Almost the entire fleet at this location had the same issue. Entirely unprepared. In addition to all of this the truck was dirty and windshield difficult to see out of. That is safety hazard and they still had the audacity to charge me a cleaning fee. I spent my time and resources cleaning the truck.Steven C.

The entire location was surrounded by and covered with garbage outside. People were hanging around in groups smoking weed in the parking lot. It didn't feel safe or comforting. The check in process is extremely slow and although I rent there often I have to go through the same draconian process Even if there is no one else waiting it can take 30 minutes or more When I returned my truck the person who checked me in (which is quick) did not complete the paperwork and the next day I was called wanting to know where my rental was.
