I signed up for a mobile pick up to avoid waiting in line, since I was scheduled to be at a place early morning. When I get to the location to pick up the Uhual van, there was no vehicle assigned. I reset my app to make sure and it said the same thing. I asked one of the workers at the place and they asked the name on the reservation, but proceeded to help the customers waiting in line which I was standing on as well. I basically had to wait 45 mins to finally be helped and was late for our event. We loss some sales because of the delay. I don’t understand why would mobile app pick up be available, when you still have to wait 45 mins? The whole point of that was to avoid the wait. Also that vehicle should have been assigned before the customer arrive to pick up their rental. Disappointed and loss sales.

The cab of the truck smelt like cigarettes. Maybe including an odor eater to take away the smell. The knobs on the truck also kept falling off and the door handle on the inside was full with water.

I think the staff is extremely overworked as there is never enough staff compared to the number of customers and our demands. Curtis is an exceptional manager... he keeps the proper demeanor especially in the high stressful situations uhaul seems to like their staff to be in at all times. I believe uhaul is doing a disservice by continously overworking their staff. Overall my experience with this location would have been completely horrifying if it were not for the staff's personality and hard work.

Paid no attention to customer and had to re-enter data into computer that she constantly complained about, Process should have taken 10-15 minutes took longer than 1/2 hour. Waited on line over 35 minutes to rent and there was only 1 person in front. Upon returning car no space and no one available to drive van thru maze. Had to drive it in myself .

The agent named Tessa wasn’t much help. She had an attitude from the moment my uncle and I walked in with our reservation. She refused to take the reservation number, she preferred to search by name. When the reservation couldn’t be found then she took the number. She was unable to charge me for bubble wrap because it wasn’t in the system and tried to throw me onto to coworker who was taking care of her own customer. She asked for an alternate number which I provided. The next day contacts me for a payment, I explained my uncle is the card holder to contact him on the alternate number. She then stated there was no alternate number. She is rude, has an attitude when asked anything, unwilling to help and shouldn’t be working there or any where that deals with customers or servicing them.

The hitch installation was excellent, the guy did a fantastic job . However, we bought some boxes at the store and lineup was very slow. There were only a few of us but it took forever to finish at the cash.

When I went to pick up the truck, I was about the first on line. After completing the paperwork. it took about 40 minutes before I got the truck. The staff were in disarray not knowing what to do or who to do what. They were sending me to each other. The cameras are my witness. It was bad to the point they told me they had no manager when I requested one. Please inservice and train these ineptitude away. Thanks

Fire the sales women and properly train the new ones to be respectful and honest.The young woman at the store lied to me about what vehicle was available. She did not give me a 19.99 vehicle although I asked several times. The older lady gave it to me when I said, I am not driving that large truck. No one inspected the vehicle. Dirty paper was on the floor of the van. Check the camera.

I rented and confirmed a 17 FT truck for 2:00 pm sending my Drivers License copy and everything. The message I received guaranteed that my vehicle would be waiting for me, only to arrive for the vehicle at 2:01 pm and told that the vehicle was not there. I had to give my license again only for the lady to copy it again and do the whole reservation again giving me a 15 Ft. vehicle that was dirty, as if someone was carrying fertilizer in it. The only thing that was clean was the two packs of blanket she brought from the office. I was getting frustrated, but kept my cool, so I could get the moving over with. I had to sweep the cab to put my furniture in it, then I saw the receipt where they are charging me on top of everything for cleaning a dirty vehicle they issued.

first I was sent to the wrong location that was closed via on line. I called and they told me they open at 7 AM the next morning. I got there at 7 and my equipment was not there. So I got sent to another location and they had no idea how to help me get the trailer on tow hitch. I had to lay on my back and figure it out. The manager was there on the return and he was great. But it was already a terrible experience.

The van had a cage that couldn't be open. I had a artifact that was a little long but the truck didn't allow me to open the cage... I had to make other changes. Also I believe they request to much information three different phone numbers were requested I thought that was a bit much to rent a truck to move a few items. I hope they are not selling personal information to give advertising

There is person going back and forth to the trucks getting them ready to take of the lot and checking in the trucks as they come back into the lot. Their should be 2 clerks working the desk

I was over charged by you guys. I drove about only 8 miles and you guys charged me for 16 miles. I then called to speak to someone and waited 30 minutes. The representative on the phone took my info and said the manager at that location would call me back regarding the issue. BIG LIE!!!!’ I did not received a call back. Don’t demand that you have a smart phone to rent. It’s ridiculous that I must go outside and look at pictures on my phone to see if the van is in good condition. Thank God my mother sent me because they would have turned her away because she is not tech savvy. This is a foolish system and I will not be back to this location and if all Uhaul companies are doing this I’m over this brand completely.

Awful. Awful. Awful. I'll never use Uhaul again. Penske it is. My original guaranteed pick up was 5 minutes from my apartment. They emailed a few day prior to the pick up date to change the pick up location. The new location was 20 minutes away which I had to uber to. When I got there for my 8am guaranteed pick-up, no truck. I was sent to another location, another 20 minutes away, spending another $30 on an Uber. Not to mention that my movers were schedule for 9am and now I was going to be late getting there. After getting to the third pick-up location the woman couldn't find my reservation, I was there for 20 minutes, meanwhile having my movers calling wondering where I was. When I finally made it home, I was 30 minutes late and, when I opened the truck the moving blankets, THAT I PAID FOR, weren't in the truck. Livid. I was moving from NYC to Miami so you can imagine what happens when you travel that far without your things wrapped. I ended up having to PAY EXTRA to my movers as well because of the run around I got from Uhaul trying to get the damn truck. Never again.

Checkout time at the physical location can be greatly improved. The wait time for verification is counter-productive especially given that customers use the mobile app before pickup. The online and mobile app is a great addition to the transaction.

The cashier actually took a customer who was behind me and told me he only has 2 boxes so she will ring him up first. I told her no I have been waiting for 45 minutes. She said whatever and told the customer to step around so she could ring him up. I dont want to argue with another customer but after she finished I asked for her name she refused. I asked where her name tag was and she just didn't walked away from the register and left me standing there. I asked for a manager and to my surprise the manager was 2 ft away and heard the whole incident but choose not to say anything. You ca. Tell she definitely doesn't respect him or uhaul. She had a thick jamaican accent and a ton of red makeup resembles a clown. I'm positive it should t be hard to find and instruct this rep on how to be more customercentric. My experience was horrible I would never ever reccomend this location Unless it's an extreme emergency

This is one of the most disorganized locations I have visited. The service was extremely poor. The vehicle I originally received had several issues. The driver’s door could not be opened from the outside. The veche tires were patially flat and there was a lot of transmission issues. The manager Mr. Jenkins appeared somewhat apologetic at first but it turned out that he was also apart of the problem. Mr. Jenkins is just as disorganized and unprofessional as the location itself. Stay away from this location if you can!!!

One of the ladies that are on the counter left me waiting for nearly 40 min. She started with my reservation and on the middle of it just walk out and start do other things and didn’t finish my reservation properly Also it she has some kind of problem because she is acting weird I won’t recommend this place to anybody until that lady still there The other staff is fine/willing to help and courteous

My pick up was scheduled at a certain time. However I’d to wait in line over one hour and a half before I get my pick up. The location had only one cashier working ,which makes it impossible to check all the customers in. Therefore, I ended up getting my truck with one hour late. Because of that I missed my schedule to pick up my stuff at the sore .This situation caused me to get my items ready and I had to extend to another day to get the job done

Make sure the picures of the vehicle being rented are current. There was a scratch and a small ding on the truck i rented that wasnt reflected in the checkout photo. Because this location is in a commercial area and all the other businesses are closed, it takes a very long time for current pics to be uploaded. If UHaul has a guess log in to their Wifi that can be logged into via their contract number or code provided to current renters that would speed up the upload process and prevent this frustration. Otherwise, great experience

Although the equipment was kept well and the staff was professional, friendly, and helpful, there are about 20 thugs that hang out in front of the store looking for work and as soon as you pull up to the store, they swoon to you asking for a job or asking if you can help them out and give them money. I didn’t feel safe and by no means would I tell one of my guy friends to go there nonetheless a lady friend to put them in that situation I was in. The police should be called daily or even hourly to make certain these guys are not in front of your business. I read reviews before going to this location and other people mentioned it and to my surprise it was much worse than I had thought. The 4 stars I give to the store itself. I wouldn’t give any stars to the overall experience.

He’s an awesome problem solver, extremely knowledgeable and very courteous. This drop-off was in quite good. However, the first drop-off site I was directed to was awful and should probably be remove from your list of vendors (HDD General Merchandise, 1395 Flatbush Ave.). Not only would he not accept my vehicle, he was rude and condescending, yelled at me and my husband when we asked for help. He did not have a working telephone, as my husband and I both tried to call the location multiple times before attempting to drop the truck off. He also attempted to remove the UHaul sign from in front of his store while we were there and said he didn't accept trucks while doing so. He was incredibly rude and unhelpful and unapologetic. It was a terrible experience. Thankfully, the UHaul representative I talked to on the phone was incredibly helpful and was able to find us an alternative location for us to drop off our truck. The Kings Highway location was very easy to find and if needed in the future, I would definitely rent from that location.

One worker was poor communicator and rude but did her job. The second cletk was obnoxious and performed het job poorly . She wad Rude and unprofessional.They did not tell me of the $25 charge for not sweeping and cleaning inside the truck. The truck workef fine

The truck stunk of weed gave me a headache had to return early could not continue to use got to sick from smell and the truck was dirty in the cab and in the back

The wait is long the staff is unprofessional, the truck had a tire pressure issue and it was not given to me clean. On checkout the wait was even longer. No one ever aswers the phone..they hang up on you when the call goes through...tacky and terrible service!!

Appalling location!!! The staff allow a bunch of drunken men, conspicuously holding beer cans, to hang around in front of the office and lean on the trucks. It was intimidating and a bit scary, especially for my sister. The staff was incompetent and apathetic. The rep could not process the order properly and by the time she did, there was a huge line behind us, all waiting to be serviced. Further, the rep did not give complete directions and instructions regarding various aspects of using the truck, I.e. how to unlock the rear lifting door and release the ramp. She didn’t even come outside to look around the truck for damages prior to our rental, nor did she check mileage or gas gauge. The truck was filthy with coffee stains all over the console and dashboard. It was obviously not cleaned out prior to our renting of it. Further, the rep did not provide proper return instructions. I will never use that location, again! Again, appalling!

I think you are on the right track but maybe there should be some more customer service rep. For when it’s too busy like Saturday morning.

The customer service is really poor i spent almost 50mins. Wait to rent the vehicle .the lady that was serving me didn't know what she was doing.

The equipment I have ordered wasn’t completely available. I had ordered a furniture dolly which was not available and then I requested an additional small dolly which the staff refused to give. I had big time trouble because of that.

The two ladies were not friendly not personable and upon return to location to drop off the truck one of the ladies who worked there was sitting in a idling truck on her phone, Window rolled up. My husband wanted to ask where should we put the truck we rented she refused to roll down the window and insisted on talking to him through a closed window like he was degenerate; repeatedly saying “how can I help you? What you need to ask me?” That offended me because that’s my husband. So I told him to just forget it. Lastly I receive my invoice, I was being charged extra for not refueling. There is literally a BP gas station up the block from this U-Haul location. I filled up prior to returning. I believe that the gas level was read lower because the workers were returning the trucks to proper designation to conclude business for the day and many trucks were left idling. It was a small $14 fee extra attached. Normally I wouldn’t even bother writing a review and would just let the extra fees go without any issue but the fact that the two female workers had a nasty disposition, now I have to speak up. I was offended how she conducted herself to my husband and more offended at her appearance with her bleached skin and hideous wig and contacts; I’m hoping she reads this review. I will never rent from them again, they set a bad tone for customer service and I refuse to do business with them again
