I was changed from two other locations before going to Governors Dr. The other locations should contact the customer as soon as possible by phone when a u-haul trailer is not available at their location. I would have wasted a lot of drive time if I had not called ahead to these locations. Some customers may not have access to email when on the road.

Allow enough miles allowed to get to the destination without stinging the renter with a milage charge when returning the equipment. This is Uhaul screwing the renter NOT THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE!!!

We were informed by a text from U-Haul to drop off the trailer in a location that wasn't even open. So we googled the nearest location and drove there. It was a disaster. The location was on a corner, no means of pulling in and unhooking the trailer. We had to back out into oncoming traffic just to get out of there and find another location which was 3713 Governor Dr. What a difference! Spacious lot. A covered and protected place in which to pull in and unhook. The attendant was professional and capable. By just a visible inspection, there was PLENTY of trailers in which to choose from. We will certainly keep this location in mind for future rentals. I can't see them sending us to another location for lack of rentals.

After returning the trailer a lady flagged me down at a red light and told me I was dragging my hook-up connector. I mistakenly thought that the U-Haul assistant had been trained to wrap it up so it would not drop down and be destroyed before I rent my next trailer.

My overall experience was terrible. The equipment was not available at the original location for the time scheduled or ever. I was sent to two other locations with no success. This location was super helpful, however when I went to the location with the available equipment, the guy would not rent it to me. He put his finger in my face and complained about how he was an independent and U-Haul was not following the correct procedures. Sent me on my way. I got the feeling that he did not want to lose the equipment to a one way trip. Garbage. My overall experience was less than poor. I was well over two hours behind on my trip which led to a super stressful start to the holiday weekend for my family. I give the governors location an excellent rating. Those guys made such an great effort to help me at the governors location.

Reserved pickup truck 3 days in advance on website, but when i arrived at 730 am for the self checkin w mobile phone, got a msg saying truck wasn't available. So i went in store and staff said person never brought it back. Guess thats out of there control, but not sure what would have happened if i tried to pick this up before opening time using self checkout?? Would someone have even let me know or would have I just been waiting there in empty parking lot. (The uhaul reservation said it was ready to go, which not true) But they offered me another vehicle and got the job done and I was in and out in few minutes and returning the truck was painless. Staff was nice and prompt but uhaul def needs more pickup trucks in this area. If you plan on renting the pickup truck, make sure you call in advance. This seems to be the only location that actually has one and it seems to be late or missing according to other posts.

Previous customer had not brought back the truck when I was ready to rent. Not U-Haul's fault, but equipment should be reserved for pick up for a short time AFTER it is due in. I was upgraded so not a huge problem. Other than that, great experience!

I rented a truck for 5 hours and called them asking if I could extend the time they said that was no problem and that I wouldn't lose my deposit. The next day they refunded me 4 dollars of my 100$ deposit charging me more for returning the truck later than I paid to rent it for one day.

Attache the trailer such that the power line doesnt get wrapped around and crimped while pulling trailer. This caused significant investment of my time and of your repairman's time to fix the problem. I repaired the electrical connection and one fuze, your repairman found the ofther fuze required. Unacceptable.

I was expecting the renting agent to go over a checklist but he did not. I spoke with Alisha at the U-Haul and explained that no one went over a checklist with me and could not find anything marked with red X's as she said should have been done. I took a number of photos myself to show no damage before durng and at the end of my rental. Going over the checklist would help.

Not happy! We did not pick up the auto transport at the same location as the truck. We had received two other locations. One was closed and had to go to a 4th location. it was very confusing plus it delayed our trip by 2 hours causing us to have stay on the road an extra night.

I originally rented a 5x8 trailer for a one-way move, only to be told as the trailer was being hitched that I could not use it because my truck did not have a wiring harness for the trailer lights. This would have been CRUCIAL to know during the reservation process. I was then forced to rent a truck that was much too big for the task and then had to pay over 3-times the price of my original reservation. Also, the rates were for a minimum four-day rental when I only needed two days so I ended up paying MUCH more than I wanted to or needed to. This is not a fault of this location, however, but it is a fault of U-Haul rental policies in general.

There needs to be better communication when you change the location of a rental. I received no text, email, or call. Had to drive 20 miles (one way) out of my way to get my rental...after already driving to where it was needed for me to pick up. Ended up costing me $40 more than expected. That was half my bill. Will be contacting and giving negative reviews on all possible social media channels.

Everything was great till a U-haul representative called me while I was waiting on a plane at George Bush Airport...and proceeded to accuse me of steeling 4 of those cheap packing blankets and the Hand Truck. So there I was in the airport screaming on the phone at your Moronic operator. Ryder for ever!!!!!

I had very good experiences with the staff and the location of the U-Haul on Governors Dr. however the truck itself had issues and my experience was bad. This was due to the fact that there was a live cockroach the size of a thumbnail in the truck when I started loading that I killed, and there was a leak in the roof of the truck that badly damaged my new foam mattress, a crib, and a desk in addition to getting many other boxes that were in the "Mom's attic" area wet. Fortunately, the mattress acted like a sponge and soaked up much of the water so things near the back of truck were spared.

The Governor Rd location is great. Open extended hours. Always easy to pickup and drop off. People always willing to help. Sometimes the U haul website is a little difficult to use. I at first was told to go to a different location but then was told to go to governor. It included a appliance dolly that I didn’t want. I believe you all are due an upgrade to your website.

Staff gets 5 stars, were nice. They were professional and cared how I felt about the bathroom. They had truck ready for me too when I got there. Fast checkin and out process. Trick needed a serious alignment. Hard to keep steering wheel straight. When I returned it the guy said it had a flat back tire and that might be why alignment was off, but I drove off the lot with it that way. Guess no one noticed it. It also kept acting like it wanted to cut off when I was in the brake position too long. Glad I only need a little gas because it only had a quarter tank. When one is moving they want to have plenty of gas since they are on a time constraint with movers and helpers. If I had to stop for gas, that would've allowed me down.

The cup holder had a nasty used ice cream stick in in and there was a Gatorade bottle on the passengers side wedged in behind he seat. A better job of cleaning rentals needs to take place. Also the front tires were bald toward the outside. The vehicle had less than 30,000 miles and was rough. Also the in box light didn’t work.

The afterhours dropoff process could use some improvement. I left the trailer at the location about 7 hours after pickup, after the location had closed. I called the next morning and the fellow who answered said he had received the trailer and closed the paperwork however it is still showing as due on my U-Haul account. I better not get charged a late fee for your not closing the transaction.

Warn people of the debit card holds before they sign their rental contract. My rental was only $128 but U-Haul made two withdrawals from my account. One for $303 and one for $224. Luckily I had the money to spare without being overdrawn which as a single mom working part time is rare. But luckily my taxes were in. When I called all the guy said was it’s a hold and will clear in a few business days. My car is in the shop and I guess I’ll get it out in a “few damn business days” when my money gets back into my account. This is a HUGE inconvenience for me. If the rental is checked in with no damages there is NO REASON for multiple withdrawals to be made. The rental it’s self was okay and I would have given five stars were it not for the amount you withdrew. That’s why I only gave two. It’s not the employees fault, I give them 5 stars Bc the ones i interacted with did their job and were nice. But U-Haul corporate is only getting 2 stars from me.

Employee did not greet me. Employee was complaining about their job. The U-Haul truck had leaked rain water into the trailer and my furniture was damaged. Told this to the employee and they did not offer any response to my damaged items. After inspecting the truck, the employee did not say thank you or anything similar, just walked off. I had to ask if the process was complete.

When I picked up the trailer it was covered in dust and dirt on the inside. Then after I turned it back in I looked at my credit card bill and learned they charged me for boxes??? I didnt even get boxes I moved with plastic containers that I already had. I called and they told me to talk to customer service.
