Chris M.I have rented trucks from this location many times and this is the first time that I was ever charged a cleaning fee. I had the truck for approximately one and a half hours and put nothing but a piece of pipe in the back of the truck so there was no dirt or anything to be cleaned. Was told just park the truck and will take care of it from there if I would've stayed like the other times, I could've asked him what he was going to clean and as far as the gas I'll send you a receipt showing that I put gas in the truck about a half a mile away from the pit from the McKnight Road pick up I would appreciate if somebody would reply to this email and let me know why I was charged a cleaning fee

I left a note on the review to Chris Valderrama, Customer Experience Program Manager, and I got no response. I have to move kids in and out of college frequently and I will be using a different company. This experience and a previous one were not good.

Mitchell C.Pick up was to be at 7am. Staff did not arrive until around 7:30am. This delayed my day. There were at least 5 of us waiting for pick up at this McKnight Road- Pittsburgh PA location. Staff did not go over anything about can. Van needed oil change. I feel those of us that har to wait should be refunded our money or at least half. There was no apology from staff about being late.

He disrespectfully hung up on me when I tried to get the issue resolved. Now I have to wait 72 hours for a guy named Michael Galancy to call back. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM UHUAL OR RECOMMEND UHUAL AGAIN

Joann T.Exiting this facility is dangerous. There is a truck parked on the side of the exit that obstructs your view when exiting this very busy road. And it's obvious to me the owner of this facility doesn't care. During the pickup, there was only one employee on staff and he let me know he was the only person there. It was a very unpleasant experience. I will never go back there.

Also some working there seemed more interested in their own conversation than my walking into the store. Kind of awkward not knowing who was going to help me with my rental. Guy that ended up calling me over again, was fine and seemed to work more than the others.

Ronald M.Overall, I was happy with my experience. Your call-in customer service team is excellent, as well as your staff that I talked to while making my reservation. I did the off-hours pickup. I requested a dolly rental and was not given one (not the end of the world!) My main issue was that the truck was parked into a snowy hill and the back door was frozen shut. I had to take it home and pour a bunch of hot water on it to open the door. I spent about an hour trying to get it open, causing me to have to extend my rental time. Not a huge deal, I still believe your location is worth the 4 stars! Just something to note for the future as Pittsburgh is very cold and this may happen to others. Maybe have someone check the truck the day before to make sure there is access in the winter? Just a thought.

justin B.The manager at this branch hates his job, and takes it out on customers. This should be addressed. This is expensive equipment being rented and very serious contracts being signed. I don't need customer service for my ego, but when I am renting equipment that I will be liable for, and signing a contract, it's important to be clear, concise, and friendly with customers. I was told “that's your truck†and had to notice the LARGE dent and scratch in the side myself. I took a photo if it on the Uhaul app that reminds you before you leave. Upon returning the vehicle, the same manager looked shocked seeing the dent. I told him it was like that when I rented it and took a picture of it before I even moved the vehicle. I was ignored completely. I looked at him in his face, and politely tried to confirm, “The app has a picture from before I took the vehicle, right?†And was ignored. He walked away, then finally mumbled, “yeah you're fineâ€. At least, I think he said that. I could not get a response from him as he walked around me. Again, I could care less about service as far as my ego, but managers need to slow down and be polite to customers who are taking on these contracts and do simple things like confirm that drastic damage to a vehicle was already there before it was rented out. I'll never return to this branch and I'll warn everyone I know to never rent equipment from that branch.

karl P.Tire pressure warning was on when I received the vehicle and the storage space was dirty and full of dead leaves. Also the way a 10 ft truck is advertised is misleading.
ALEXANDER B.My only complaint is when I picked up they told me there was 1/2 tank of gas. I did not notice until I drove away it was clearly well below half. I chose not to go back to the rental location as that would have been inconvenient. I did not drive many miles (local move) but definitely had to add way more gas prior to return than I used. Just annoying more than anything.

James M.This was by far the worst customer service experience I ever had. I reserved a 26' truck online but when I arrived they only had 17' trucks. When I mentioned the $50 reservation guarantee they start verbally attacking me. The truck was a complete mess, windshield was so dirty it was next to impossible to see through at night, there was no windshield washer fluid, one headlight was out and the other one was pointed into the ground. Plus, because of the smaller truck it required me to take two trips and have it for two rental periods causing the cost to be about triple what I expected it to be. There is very little chance I will ever do business with U-haul again.
