U haul should reimburse their clients the difference of what they paid if the equipment and truck are returned before an interval of twenty four hours, even if the equipment was rented out for forty eight hours.

I was given the option of online check in so social distancing was honored, so I did it. I showed up to pick up my truck and they had me go into the office and complete the check in process again. Once the point of early mobile check in if you have to complete it in person anyways? Other than that the staff was great and the return process was smooth.

Picking up was smooth. Card was run as debit for 100. Rough 30 rental, 70 hold. Could only rent for 24 hours at a time for some reason. Was a pain to have to call and re reserve each day. The first day I called, the rep tried twice to run my card, error message both times. Was going to make a note that I tried to pay but no charges worked. Note said I requested another day. I called the next day. Same issue with first rep, passed me off to someone else, same issue again, passed me back to reservations. The person (third person that call, reprimanded me in saying I was out of compliance by not paying and representative notes or not, I was in the wrong and needed to return or pay asap. This rude lady did notice that all the error messages were coming due to the first time at the shop I was charged debit which would not run again. I gave her my card info and she ran the charge for the day before and that day. (Rough 70 dollars for the two extra days). Rude but at least she figured it out. Today was the third day I called to request another 24 hours. Think same error messages came, she just said to pay at drop off. I dropped it off tonight and saw a new 200+ dollar charge right them. Plus the 70 and 100 paid before. I think the guy that checked me in (very nice guy, maybe the only one I'd come back for. Most of the interactions with other staff, I was made to feel like I was the problem. Not a fan of that when I'm going above and beyond to call daily instead of checking out once. I'll watch my account to see if the last guy that I worked with fixed the error or not, I'll touch base if it needs to be addressed. 15 ‘ truck drove great. But I really doubt I will drive across town for uhaul again. I've always used uhaul so it was no question when the need arose. After this experience I'm thinking hurts or Penske will be the next choice. Thank you for you time in reading this.

Have more than one person working front desk. I stood in line for over an hour with my toddler when there was only 3 other people in line in front of me. People kept walking up to have the person working attend to them and whatever their issue was outside and she would be outside for 10-15 minutes at a time without so much as an acknowledgement to the 10 other people in line. People would come in and basically cut in line to say they rented their vehicle online and she would attend to them first, even though I also did it online. It was ridiculous. Other than that the truck was good, clean and ready to go and the link to make sure everything g matched up was easy to navigate. Customer service and the amount of employees for that many people are seriously lacking.

The number one reason I had a positive experience at U-Haul in Visalia is because of the people involved. I never thought it would matter who’s working at the U-Haul, but it mattered at the Visalia location. The folks there were patient, kind, respectful, and went above and beyond to support the customer (like Chris). Their tool shop was open and they were quick to fix an issue with my trailer rental and get me on the road, all the way up to closing time. The facilities were always immaculate, nearly hospital clean. The bathrooms were clean and operational. The equipment, like carts, ready and available.

The only complaint I have is that they did not tell me they open at 9 on Sundays and we needed to fold the blankets they did not tell us to do that we would have done it anyways it just would have been nice to know overall every employee there where professionals well knowledge and will definitely come back

The hayward location dropped off the boxes and transported them to Visalia, went smoothly. Once in Visalia, they could not deliver on Sunday or Monday and were booked for Tuesday and Wednesday, so my boxes arrived days later than I'd have liked. I understand that I ordered drop off services only a week in advance, but that's how it goes when you buy a house. When they arrived the boxes were placed too close together, so I was unable to open the middle box. I called to ask for the boxes to be moved so we could access them and it was the same issue with scheduling availability. Uhaul asked to pick up boxes when they came to move the other and I said sure. One will be empty and I'll try to empty another one. I expected them to clarify because I said I'dlet them know day of. We only finished emptying 1 box by the time they came to pick it up. Someone knocked on my door to state that one box had a lock on it. At this time the box was on the forklift in the street. I explained we didn't finish emptying it, then watched as the forklift driver drove over the curb with my partially filled box. Because I wasn't planning on this the items were not secure. During this time I was cleaning and painting the entire house, and due to the box scheduling I hadn't slept on my mattress in over a week, but the Uhaul staff who drove the truck (not forklift) was chatty about their day. I was really upset about the placement of the boxes too close together and running over the curb knocking over my stuff. Fortunately there was no major damage. I paid over $3000 for this because our move was chaotic, and I didn't need this extra stress.

The app was easy to reserve a truck. When I arrived this morning early the check process was also easy. When I was done I brought the truck back after 4pm. I was meet with very pleasant staff. Easily reserved my unit online days prior to moving my stuff in, they had it ready for me with a free lock & even a Uhaul piggy bank😂 it being an indoor storage really makes a difference in this summer heat. ONLY thing i wish was different was the small flight of stairs I have to go up to get to my unit, but that I can get over. Nice staff, super clean place! Definitely happy I chose to go with this storage facility & would def recommend!!
