I've been a U-Haul customer for several years. Recent changes to the check-in/out process with the use of smartphone technology has definitely enhanced the service and reduced the sometimes long waiting and lines at the customer service counter. Dispute some frustrations with U-Haul over the years, I have continued to come back time and time again, as I suspect I will continue to do into the future. Their pricing, availability of trucks and trailers, and overall good maintenance of their equipment will continue to bring me back. I appreciate U-Haul, because I don't have to be concerned with storing/parking, maintaining, insuring, or DMV renewals if it were my own equipment - if I need it, U-Haul always has it ready when I am.Douglas M.

Awful ! Employee never checked in my trailer and was marked as still in use. Wanted to charge me for extra time when I wasn't even in my possession. Very lazy worker who made us wait and made a mistake on his behalf. Had to go through calls just to figure it out.Leon M.
Rented a 6x12 trailer. Waited almost an hour to finish rental contract and get hooked up. Loaded most of it myself because I was tired of waiting. A guy helped do a few things. He did the light check and said I was good to go. Turned out of parking lot, and the loading gate fell down. Wasn't secure when I left. Pulled over to lift it back up. While back there, noticed that the gate opening was not 6 feet wide. Measured the opening and it was only 4ft wide. Turned around, went back into the parking lot. Explained to the guy I needed a trailer that was 6ft wide. He said to go in and talk to some guy with a beard. 8 people inside the office. Waited 30 mins, and still wasn't helped. Apparently the process takes 1 hour per customer I guess. Another guy was sitting down and making phone calls to schedule people in for some sort of service. No idea what that's about, but let's be honest with one another. When there are that many people waiting to be helped, those phone calls could be made at a different time. I went back outside and just had the guy unhook the trailer. It was useless to me. I asked for another trailer, he said only the people inside could help. Went back inside and waited for another 30 mins, still couldn't get any help. Same counter guy with the same customer he was helping for over an hour. Same bearded guy, still not helping anyone and just making phone calls. UNREAL!! I went back outside. Guy checked in trailer, AND HE CHARGED ME FOR A FULL RENTAL EVEN THOUGH I JUST WENT A 1/2 BLOCK AND CAME BACK!! I would expect this type of service at an independently owned rental place. I was told this place was corporately owned and should have received better service. Maybe pay these guys a little more to give a damn, or let the whole crew go and start over. But to charge someone for a rental I didn't even to get to use is beyond ridiculous. Hope corporate is expecting my phone call Monday morning!!JAMES W.
The old man that rented the pick up was rude and unfriendly. When I went to add gas before returning the pick up the fuel receptacle had the valve broken so I could not insert the gas pump. The manager who fixed it by removing the broken valve was helpfulgeorge B.
Give a prompt refund of overpayments. I rented last Sunday and today is Wednesday. The refund of my deposit ($35.78 should have been refunded by now. Also, your technician didn't secure the trailer onto my hitch and it fell off the hitch. Luckily while the vehicle wasn't moving. It could have caused a lot of damage and possibly even a loss of life. Very Poor Indeed!Danue H.
The ability to one way drop off a trailer would have saved me 6 hours total of driving, and that would have been ideal. But the staff was helpful, and the equipment was decently maintained which is really all you can ask for.THOMAS S.

The individual that helped us was not wearing a mask (and even sneezed towards us while we were being helped). I will not return during Covid and maybe not even after as it suggests Uhaul is not concerned with customer safety.Richard T.
