Saturday pickup was a breeze
My children's father recently passed away. All of their possessions were in a storage unit in Nevada. I made reservations to have a hitch installed, to be able to tow a trailer, WELL in advance if our trip. My initial installation location was in Reno. I called to confirm everything the night before I left on my two day drive to Reno. The trailer I wanted was only available at the Oddie location (not the original reservation location) so we arranged, U-Haul customer service and I, to have the hitch installed at Oddie instead. The Oddie location was going to go pick up the hitch at the other location on the eighth of February, a day before my installation. I left home the morning of the eighth assuming everything was set. After driving all day I got a telephone call from the Oddie location telling me that the hitch was not available. They went to the other location and searched for an hour and a half with no luck, even though I ordered it well in advance and the computer said it was there. I was then informed, sitting on the side of the road with my two kids in the car, that I would have to find a hitch and wiring on my own! They gave me the parts numbers and 1-800-Uhaul telephone number and wished me luck!!! I spent two hours on the side of the road, after driving all day with my kids in the car, searching in vain for the hitch and wiring for my small car that I was going to have to figure out how to carry the hitch with!!! I was beside myself.....shaking and crying, and eventually had to give up for the day so I could get myself and children to the hotel room and fed! The next morning I resumed the hunt. I finally found one in South Lake Tahoe and purchased it just to be sure I had one. I then called the Oddie location to let them know that I had found one but would need to change my installation time due to driving out of my way, waiting for the South Lake location to open, and figuring out how to get it in my small car! The Oddie location then told me that not only were they all booked up but they had NEVER scheduled my wiring installation in the first place, only the tow package!!! The gentleman on the phone said he would try to figure something out would I please wait by the phone for 1/2 to 1 hour for him to call me back. Please keep in mind that I was only half way through my two day drive, and in a hotel with a check out deadline. I had no choice but to agree to wait! Next, I got a call back from the Woman at the Oddie location, that had called me the previous day to let me know that I was needing to find my own hitch and wiring, only this time she told me that their location had the hitch and wiring the WHOLE TIME!!!!! The hitch installation expert agreed to come in a half hour early to get the wiring done as well. So we were basically back to square one! Meanwhile I had paid for another hitch and wiring, sat for two hours on the side of the road with my kids in the car shaking and crying, and missed the sunset I had planned for over the Bonneville Salt Flats!!! When I arrived the next morning to have the hitch installed they made me pay for the whole thing again! I had repeatedly told them that I had already paid for it, weeks in advance, but they just wanted to argue with me and I was over their unprofessionalism by then, so I just gave up!!!! Next I had to get a refund for the other tow package that I needlessly bought, and one for the original time that I bought it!!! I would like to say that the hitch installation expert at the Oddie location was my hero! He came in early, did a wonderful job, and was a ray of sunshine in my day!!!

Twice, once with this reservation and once with another one, I received messages that my specific item reserved could not be provided. This was after specifically avoiding selections marked with caveats that specific item might not be available. To say this was frustrating is an understatement. In the end, I did receive the requested item the second time, after cancelling the first reservation.
Explain the roll up door on the back of the truck and how it can get stuck if you roll it up to far inside the door.
Very happy with the level of service received from the person who checked me out for the rental truckand the person who checked me in when I returned it! They truck itself had 120,000+ miles and it drove pretty rough but very happy overall. I also was given a 15' truck for the price of the 10' truck I'd reserved but wasn't available. I've used this location at least a dozen times over many years.
Came out to greet me personally - a rarity these days. I was there for no more than two minutes dropping off my truck. Super friendly, awesome experience
I made the reservation but my friend who picked up the equipment got a bill from you instead of charging to my credit card
The person that helped us was very rude. Before I had any interaction with him he was very confrontational. Rolled his eyes at my wife as she dropped me off for unknown reasons. Every chance he could get he said something smug to me such as, “ you have a reservation or you HAD a reservation? Those are two different things.â€
The person that helped me was Miguel. He went above and beyond trying to get everything set up correctly. I would definitely tell people to go talk to him if they have an issue.

I drove 5 hours to pick up a trailer to trailer a broken down car home, when I got there I had an E-alert and had to call your number. I waited 30 mins on hold to find out there was nothing wrong with my account. Absolutely ridiculous.
Cargo area was dirty but the service was nice and friendly
We were given a truck that was spilling out gas after a canceled reservation by a rude lady trying to change her story so she was not in trouble for canceling our uhaul.
First location that we made an online reservation and pickup was closed even though it reservation said it was open. When I called to phone help to resolve I was put on hold four times and eventually sent me back to the end of the queue. Took 45 minutes to get an alternate rental location and reservation. This is why I typically go with Penske.
Always use this location! Staff are super helpful and friendly.

Was sent to 3 different uHaul locations by the uHaul app. It changed 3 times and even changed my reservation pickup time.
The representative was dishonest, he was charging me more for the daily rate and the insurance then I was quoted. Very sneaky and dishonest
I called U-haul Customer Relations and voiced my concerns. In all the years of renting from this location, we have never had such a terrible experience and lack of professionalism as we endured this time. We will never rent from this location again.
The pricing was deceptive. I was told the protection plan was $14 and they charged me $28. I was also quoted an estimate that said it would be about $70 but it was over $150. That's more than twice the estimate.
You guys are awesome I will continue to rent from you thank you so much I was able to pick up all the stuff from the time I left U-Haul and came back at 5:20 and dropped it off thank you so much.
The front right tire was flat, but driveable. Probably affected gas mileage, but I paid for the mile, not the gallon. Not my problem.

I made sure this location had the truck I needed in stock at the day/time I needed it, before reserving it. It was available for pick up as scheduled. Customer service was very helpful. Price was as expected. Will rent from this location again.
It was all great. Employees were very, very helpful and friendly. Just a great experience.
Overall happy with my experience as it was quick and everyone was friendly! The only downside is the small parking lot so it was difficult to find parking and get in and out of with the cargo trailer but other than that no complaints.

The location and people were good. The equipment was clean and hopefully well maintained. However, your 15' truck guzzled gas in a way I have not seen with Penske trucks. I drove a total of 25 miles only 10 of which were with a load, over flat terrain, and it used 8 gallons of gas. Disappointing fuel economy.
Being denied renting trailer for more than 24 hours is unfair and ridiculous, if Uhaul don't have enough trailers they should invest in more. I have inflatables I didn't get taken to uhaul storage in Fallon some hour & half away because I was denied extending trailer for further 24 house.
The whole experience was terrible. Slow service, changes to my order pick-up time without my consent, disorganization at all levels. I will not be using U-Haul again.
First of all in August the last year I reserved a trailer and halfway to my destination from Reno Nevada to Bellingham Washington you called and said you didn't have it and I had to go 30 miles past my destination. That trip was $1,800 miles round trip. When I got up there and rented a smaller trailer returned it here in Reno and you double charged me. Second of all this most recent rental I rented it for maybe 12 hours returned it the next day on time. You charged me three times and I did not have that money either. Then it became a big hassle to get my refund it took quite some time and a lot of calling you which was wasting a lot of my time trying to take care of this. I have to go back up to Bellingham Washington from Reno one more time and I will rent another trailer from you if it is a hassle like the other two times then I probably will never rent anything from you again. But third time to charm.
Employees were very helpful. The service was very fast, maybe 15 minutes in and out.
The only recommendation is if you have a pickup for digital don't make the customer go inside for the key. Was annoying and still had to wait

The mess ups in my order cost me hundreds of dollars on my move. I had called four times to make sure my truck would be ready at 7 am, because I had 4 workmen on the clock and waiting at my premises at 8 am. When I arrived, there was no 20 foot truck and my order was not known. Your sales people were very nice and tried to be helpful under the circumstances. It was your computer system apparently that caused the problems. They gave me a 10ft truck and had me come back hours later to trade. This caused delays in the work and disruption in the order things could be moved. The job took at least two hours longer than it would have. Also caused additional miles. Also, your furniture dolly was broken and I had to go buy one—another delay and extra cost.
Staff was fast and friendly. No issues.
Everything went well. In-person check-in was fine, and the agent, (Rachel?) was very pleasant. The truck (20') was clean and ran fine. The box lift-gate operated easily, and the ramp deployed/stored smoothly. Return was easy, the agent (didn't catch his name, sorry) was pleasant and helpful, and it took only about 10 minutes total, including the agent's careful inspection of the returned vehicle. Special shout-out and thanks to "Miguel" who was very pleasant and helpful during an inquiry phone-call the night before pick-up. The U-Haul agents I interfaced with were all pleasant, patient, and helpful. Appreciate that very much.
This whole process was a nightmare. I had a truck booked out to me 1.5 hrs away, when I asked if anything closer Heidi the service agent in NorCal said no take it or leave it. I tried back a little while later and spoke to someone else who found a truck 30min from me but the day before I was to pick up the truck the manager of the lot switched the truck to in town only - and apparently managers at uhaul are like god: all powerful and no one can talk to them. The Santa Rosa truck was also denied because they didn't want it traveling that far so Heidi had me going to a lot 3hrs away in Susanville. I decided to call the Nevada lots since I was going that way and I could kill two birds with one stone and spoke to Ashley who got me a truck in Reno and helped me out immediately- she rocks. Anyway- I'm going to try Budget or Ryder for now on.
Not my job figure it out
The truck was a little run down but it did the job.
Trucks engine sounded horrible and very cheap. It ran very slow on the freeway. I drove it for 23 miles and they wanted to charge me for 100 miles. Someone needs to check the mileage before it gets re-rented! The girl who gave us the keys only sent me an email and I had horrible service so I could not open up the link to verify the mileage on the contract. She also never told me to verify the mileage before I got on the truck. Thankfully I took a picture as soon as I got on. She did not bother printing me a piece of paper with the information even though I told her that I did not have good cell signal and I cannot open up her email or the text message she sent me. She was friendly but do not know what she was doing Other than that the staff was very friendly and two people were knowledgeable.
I went down to the location to reserve a car trailer for the weekend and was told I had to do it online. So I went online and reserved one. I don't understand why I couldn't do it while I was at the location.
Arrived & was given WRONG truck based on reservation. Then the Truck was dirty inside & needing some work on the engine - barley could handle the freeway.
I made a reservation for the 9th and 10th and when I went to pick up my truck at 5:30 pm I was told that I had to have it back by 8:30 am on the 10th and when I said I made the reservation for two days she told me I didn't that I only made it for the night of of 9th when I returned the 15 foot truck on the morning of the 10th I then had to rent a 20 foot truck for the 10th I don't think I will ever use uhaul again because of the horrible customer service I experienced
The people were great, the company needs work on their end.

I was extremely disappointed in the availability of equipment in the Reno area, which is not the fault of this particular location. Due the shortage of equipment, I had to rent two vehicles, which made for a lot of undue stress. This location was clean and efficient in their work.
