Truck was so dirty, it was hard to see all the dents n acratches! I wasn't told that's the entire check was required before leaving the lot, so becuz I was distracted with having forgotten my blankets at home and the two guys I had hired with me, moving the truck out of its parking spot so I cud pull my car into that spot to park in a crowded lot after pulling the truck out to do a thorough check of the exterior damages, I didn't complete the review before I left the lot. There was no place to park long enough to do everything without blocking other vehicles! I was also told that my payment was for a 24 hour period but my text (which I didn't read til a bit later) said the truck was to be returned in 5 hours! OR pay a $20 CONVENIENCE FEE! Whose convenience? I was asked if I cud get the truck back in 6hours but I didn't realize what was going to be required (unscrew the pieces of the desk set) before I cud load the furniture! So the inconvenience was NOT appreciated! Also, the lack of a loading rack on the smaller (12') trucks is an obvious ploy to get extra income for the rental! The rack is a necessity regardless of the size! And NOT having racks for rent, REQUIRING getting the larger truck is NOT helpful for women! I will rent from Penske if I need a truck in the future!

The only issue I had was when returning the truck, the return line was completely crowded and there was no room for the truck. I had to park it in the back of the store where it was not blocking anyone or anything. Also, a customer before me left their truck with trailer in the middle of the parking lot and blocked in my car and I couldn't get out. I had to maneuver my car inch by inch to safely get out without hitting the truck. Otherwise, rental was great and fit all the things I needed it to.

I literally had to wait there forever for returning the track. The browser did not let me snap a photo and the customer service line was awkward. Sometimes it was saying the waiting time was 92 minutes, and sometimes just 1 minute...? I had to dowload the app and still it did not let me sign in. I had to reset the password and tried again. Anyway, it was not customer friendly...

None of the equipment I reserved was in the truck when I picked it up so I had to flag a worker and wait longer for my equipment to be put in the truck. Also the truck was missing a gas cap and they didn't have a replacement part, they said it was fine to drive it like that or they can give me another truck. I just left it like that because they had already cost me an hour from my pickup time for not having the truck properly ready. This was a mobile pickup and it was very annoying to deal with.

Truck smelled like beer and felt like it had no shocks whatsoever. Couldn't assess damages because it was parked right next to other vehicles. Truck should have been more accessible, there was no place to park the vehicle on return.

Driver side door had to be slammed HARD to have it close all of the way. Plastic piece on the door would then fall off because the door had to be slammed so hard. My biggest complaint is with the scheduled pick up of my truck. I was supposed to pick it up in Soquel since that is the closest location that I could be guaranteed to get the size truck that was needed. I was contacted that I was to then pick up the truck in Salinas. This was after I had already arrived in Soquel. U-Haul should have had a driver take the truck to Soquel for me to pick up. U-Haul should have been proactive in getting the truck from Salinas to Soquel. This was unacceptable to think that I was going to have to drive another hour out of the way to pick up the truck. I learned that guaranteed reservation pick-up locations are not really guaranteed. Awful.

too long of a wait. add more people. the self check out option took 1 hour for an agent to verify and release a truck. eventually had to go inside an see someone to get the key anyways.. so total waste of time. will get a truck from Lowes or Home depot next time

The Truck Share 24/7 is a very straightforward and convenient way to rent a vehicle. The cargo van I rented had a surprising amount of safety features, was easy to drive, and made moving a 218 lb hospital bed 126 miles away a breeze. I loved that I was able to return the vehicle after hours, as well.

This review is for the original location on 412 e empire st. Terrible location and did not have the vehicle I reserved 3 days prior. They couldn't help me get a new vehicle and when I called customer support they left me on hold for over 30 mins. And the location on Tully gave us a filthy truck. Dirt everywhere and destroyed.

UHaul has their process of providing rentals down to an art. A customer's need request is executed expeditiously and smooth. Returns are set up for customers convenience and simple. This is a review for the COMPANY not just this location - I would not recommend this COMPANY to anyone. At all. If I could give it 0 stars I would. First of all - my reservation, that was made in may for a trip in July, was moved from the location I initially chose to a location that's more than 30 minutes away about a week before the trip. Then Two days before trip I was contacted by the company and unfortunately I was working and unable to answer. And in the middle of all that they transferred my trailer rental to a different location without even notifying me. They sent me two additional confirmation texts with the wrong reservation days. So I went ahead and contacted the company to see what that was about. So apparently when you call a uhaul location if they do not answer in a timely manner your call seems to be transferred to a corporate switchboard. So the woman who I was initially connected with was actually unable to help me. She attempted to transfer me to scheduling at the location of my rental and I was subsequently transferred approximately 10-15 times. From Orange County to Fresno when I was renting a trailer in LOS ANGELES. I gave up on the transfer chain, hung up and attempted to call the location directly again, a man answered and because I had my phone muted for a moment I was hung up on after 5 seconds. I called back & finally made it to the line at the location I would be picking my rental up from and the gentleman who answered (same one that hung up on me) was quite rude & tried to transfer me AGAIN so I requested a supervisor. And someone in the background audibly laughed at my request and I was transferred anyway to the first woman I spoke with. I explained to her this entire thing and she apologized and did what she could to help me. She was able to confirm my reservation days and locations. I realized during packing that 26ft was going to be to large so I asked if there was a way to downsize my rental to 20ft. She went ahead and found a 20ft truck for me and confirmed that rental. So fast forward to moving day. My spouse and I go at 12 to pick up the truck, when we arrived at the pick up location (the 3rd location my rental has been moved to at this point!) and THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THAT SIZE TRUCK IN THEIR INVENTORY. I will say that this woman was especially helpful. She agreed to wave any cancellation fees and re-reserved a 26ft truck because at that point there were no 20ft trucks anywhere. So we were off to the fourth rental location. As we were going I spotted a true uhaul location (because some are “authorized dealers & others are corporate owned locations) and I figured since they're connected better maybe they could help me out also as we were driving by I saw a 20ft truck and figured I'd ask. After I told him my story the man at the counter (had manager vibes but idk) basically told me that reservations aren't guaranteed and there was nothing he could do. So at this point I got stuck paying $200 more than I actually needed too. Granted it's partially my fault I should've chosen a smaller truck but you live and you learn. So we moved on to the last location. The man was like “oh you're taking that one? Great I just got it back like 30 minutes ago”. And then when I requested the 24 moving blankets that I ordered he only had 18 and was like it's okay they don't care about the blankets. When dropping the truck back off the attendant who inspected was like hey you're missing moving blankets so it'll be a fee. We told him what the renting attendant said and he backed off about it. So overall this was an awful experience. I will never ever in a million years recommend or use this company for anything. My move was pushed back an entire day because of the run around I was put through . TL;dr - Uhual transferred my rental farther away than was ideal, transferred me around CA for an hour and a half because no one could answer a phone or figure out how to help me. Provided some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And then rented me a truck that didn't exist. Failed to completely fulfill my reservation and then attempted to charge me for it when I returned the truck. 10/10 DONT RECOMMEND.
