person handling transaction was very efficient, and processed everything very quickly.
I've never used a storage facility before so hard to know how to rate the service. I can say I had one issue with snow in the storage room but the issue was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. As there is usually only one staff person at any given time (at least when I was there) the service can be slow if they are serving another customer but the staff were always friendly.
Clean the trucks before you rent the boat and make sure a person can see out the mirrors they were filthy and disgusting

The van I rented said it could hold a queen mattress, the matress couldn't even fit in the van. The van was really dirty. Not satisfied.

U haul pushed our reservation thrice, when they changed it 2nd time they informed us but 3rd time on one did. When I called customer service and she said they have applied $50 credit but looks like that was applied in air as I don't see any credit on my visa card. When I asked cx service lady that why did no one notify me when they changed my reservation 3rd time she mentioned that I can cancel my reservation and go to the competitors. I was shocked that how come a U haul employee can talk like this , I told her that why she doesn't go and work with U-haul competitors and then she doesn't have to deal with all that crap.She said that her manager will call me in 72 hours and did not receive any call. Very poor customer service, never recommend.

Let customers know that the location is closing right away. I failed to look at the hours at the Sherwood Park location and had to go to the secondary location in desperation. Luckily it was open.
I booked two bundles of blankets weeks in advance, only one was available and they were mostly filthy and had straw throughout. I cleaned and vacuumed them but still wasn't comfortable putting them on furnitur

The system defaulted to a 5:30a.m. pick up which caused my move to be very rushed and disorganized. Also the transmission in our truck was in terrible condition. We were afraid we were going to break down mid move.

A request was made for a different location pick up I was not advised till the day of pick up that my location was for a different location and drop off at a different location would cost an additional 300 dollars which is insane. This was a horrible experience. Online reservations need to change

If You Have An Oline Check In,Why Do You Have To Go Through The Process Again When You Go To Pickup Your Rental.

My unit was broken into and had property stolen. Was told the employees do a yard check twice a week but didn’t notice when my unit was broken into for weeks. The security footage showed nothing because the manager said it must have happened prior to the last day on the footage (30 days). When I came to close my unit, Edmonton police were there and in discussion they revealed that theft from the property is a common experience and that this location has the highest frequency of theft related calls. Even though staff tried and were somewhat helpful, nothing could be done regarding my lost property or compensation because of the incompetence of security that has been in place. I will never use again nor will I suggest anyone to use uhaul storage for anything important or of significant value. I asked for a refund to at least cover some of the lost property but all I was offered was a credit to continue using the unit. Why would I continue using the unit if uhaul couldn’t give me peace of mind to start with.
Get your computer system running faster. HA it was running like a computer from the 90's. Outside of that I'll be back in the spring when it's time to haul my bike back home. HA Cheers.
I was impressed with the professionalism of the assistance at the counter. The cargovan was low on washer fluid, which was a problem, until I was able to refill it.
The service at this location is excellent.
The trailer return wait time was 25 minutes due to one staff worker and 4 customers arriving within the same 1/2 hour for rentals and returns. Employee was courteous, efficient and knowledgeable.
They missed checking the ball on the hitch. It was new (from UHaul in Saskatoon) and the cotter pin had not been installed yet. By the time I was finished with my move, the ball was loose and could have been dangerous.
The furniture dolly was not secure in the back. I didn't open the cargo area when I did the initial inspection and only realized it when I heard some banging in the back. I called the rental location right away and was asked to hold. An hour and a half later they had still not picked up my call and by that time had closed. I called the national number and got through in about 10 or so minutes. The woman in the phone was very helpful and we got everything done as I dropped the truck off and checked it Back in on the website. Not happy with being in hold for 1 1/2 hours. Your phone system did not offer any options like being forwarded to the national service or leaving a message or offering a call back solution.
Your app make trouble when returning vehicle
Ended up getting a different storage unit company because repairs were never done.
John was very helpful and professional. Check in and check out were quick but not rushed, a real pleasant experience for a business which can be stressful at times. Highly recommended location and I've been to them all in the city, 17Street for the win! Clean equipment, they checked my lights for me and hooked it up too. I'll be back.

Main office trailer is run down. Truck drop off area was small and crowded. Property very dark and uninviting. Key drop box was broken open.
It is VERY frustrating when you book online and select a specific location for pickup and dropoff and AFTER you book you get a call that your pickup location is a LOT farther than you initially planned for. I believe that if Uhaul cannot complete the original reservation location then the customer should not have to pay for the additional kilometre charge for pick up and drop off. Other than that the experience was acceptable.

Hitch system is very old and extremely finicky to hook up and unhitch. Needs to be updated plus trailer was very old with some tie down rails missing.
It was over priced for the short time frame I used your services for.

Was completely shocked to arrive for my rental to find it was nothing like I was shown when booking. It was a very old beat up model with tape on the top for keeping the rain from coming in. Not to mention the worn out tires. We were traveling across Canada and the trailer had Texas plates in the middle of Covid singling us out on the road to anyone dealing with tourist anger. It caused us extreme stress that could have been avoided.

When someone reserves something at a location, make sure that it's available at that location. I received the wrong equipment at the wrong location, and only found out 30 mins before I was moving. This was a terrible experience all around.
The fellow that helped us was excellent! Service was good and efficient. I would definitely return to this location. The desk at the front was a little crowded as there had been changes made to the space for social distancing/COVID. The room might need to be reconfigured at bit around the front desk to allow more space to move.
Hire more staff, could not get through to staff on telephone and had to wait a long time in lineup when picking up and dropping off trailer.

Expressed concerns about water leaking into my area and having 4 -2cube boxes saturated 3-4” on bottom. Fabric was still very damp and there was mildew damage!

Had a problem with mice which damaged my sofa and was not resolved to my liking. It doesn't help Uhaul is its own insurance company. Not good for the consumer.

Locker is constructed such that mice can easily enter, and they pooped and peed and chew everything. I recently called and was left on hold, told agent. Asked for manager, he said he was manager and was busy. I emailed customer service in USA. Manager said complaints are bounced back to him. On site washroom filthy, dishwashing soap only soap available (do they know there is a pandemic), no paper towel holder, floor filthy, no garbage bin. I called U Haul about 4 years ago when I used 149 Street site. Told agent I was double charged. She said she would get back to me. Hasn't called yet. I moved out May 16, 2020 after telling local Pock-It Storage about the dirty U-Haul facility. Pock-It matched price and upgraded me to climate-controlled unit at no extra cost. During my check out process, agent at local U-Haul interrupted me 3 times during a one-minute conversation. Obviously no customer training. I got my receipt, thanked him and left. You just lost 100 customers. All the best.

I was lied to about the unit being lit. The latches don't line up properly and I could not open the unit by myself:( I left repeated messages for the manager to call me, which he says he never received :( Once I spoke to him, he was very helpful and accodating:) Payment was requested 17 days after I moved out by staff. In speaking with him that day he said he would make a note. Payment was request again 19 days after move out by email. I have an ongoing issue with the rental truck location that is still unresolved:) No I would not recommend your company even after decades of loyalty to you. The issue from March 7th should have been dealt with immediately and is still unresolved. Thank you very much for you time:) Lois Lesage 780-984-4977
The snow hasn't been cleared in front of some units and there was dust on the walls inside so in my opinion the facility maintenance has gone downhill

Move in day, I couldn’t close the door to the unit. I looked to see if there was anything in the way of the door (my stuff on the inside) but there wasn’t. Turns out the tracks the door closes on, we’re full of ice. Nobody had cleaned the unit or made sure the unit would be move in ready clearly. I’m sure this isn’t the first time this has happened. I’m sure it won’t be the last. It was late and it was also the coldest day of the year. I just wanted to get out of there so when we finally got the door closed, I just wanted to go home, warm up, and sleep. I ended up going back to the unit a couple times and every time I went, the unit was VERY difficult to open. We had to use a crowbar to open and shut the latch. Or it wouldn’t open. That amount of force and pressure was frustrating and def avoidable if the people maintaining the units, cleaned out the tracks before someone moves in. I mentioned something the second last time I went to the facility because it is so time consuming just to open and close the door. The man was great with me even tho I was extremely upset. He mentioned he would tell his manager but I don’t know if anything happened. My unit also had a light but no light switch or pull string. No way to access the light bulb to change it unless I brought a ladder.
Incredible service and expertise displayed by all 3 men I spoke with. From initial contact, to the actual move in, everyone was great. I will definitely recommend Uhaul. Kathy

I had mice in unit and mold on couches. Also never had walk through when I cleaned out unit and then was told I owed for a month because the employee told me in office I didnt have to sign to finalize
You guys rock I came to you frazzled frustrated and confused And you had my back calmed me down and all with a smile.
Mice infested storage. When we asked management to fix an issue with our storage locker we were told to use “Irish spring soap” to keep mice away. Our storage locker door wouldn’t close properly.

Used to be a convenience store and transferred to a dedicated U-Haul outlet. Good location, truck selection, and branch manager.
I haven’t had any problems with U-haul. The 2 years that I used this facility have been great. Easy payment, decent facility and easy set up/move out.
Pricing was great, service was great, it was clean and felt secure. I used a storage unit for about three years and highly recommend the 17th street location in Edmonton.

I was disappointed that I got no refund on the rent that I had just paid.
There is no security for storage outside the building, Our battery from our camper was stollen and we were told that they didn't look after those things you must have your own insurance.
Jessee was completely disorganized and rude. They were very understaffed. They only had one trailer when we requested two. Nothing was ready despite numerous conversations. This scratches the surface.

I booked a cargo van and a storage unit, but they did not have the van available. They did transfer the booking to another location, but they didn't let me know until I arrived at to pickup.
The young man who helped me yesterday was amazing. Was on his own and was very busy but handled everything with a smile and great attitude!

reservation meant nothing. when we went to pick up the vehicle the office was in a different location and then there was no size of truck that we reserved plus then i suggested my own fix.
I find the storage prices to be very expensive. I had a unit at this location for about 2 years and there was not one break. You should think about long term customers.
