When we went to pickup the rental at the Elk Grove Florin location we were informed that the pickup truck had not be returned and that our reservation had been moved to 47th Ave and Stockton Blvd location. When we arrived there, there was a long line and you can hear the conversation the manager was having with each customer. The interaction was the same for everyone but us "the African American couple." We were the only people of color there. When we decline the insurance, like others ahead of us did. The manager asks us for proof of insurance. She did not ask the other customers for proof of insurance. She informed them that declining the insurance would make them fully responsible for any repairs if the vehicle was damaged, but with us she ask us to show her proof of automobile insurance. I ask her why we need to show proof when no one else was ask. She stated they we where renting different equipment. I rented a pickup truck a week ago at a different location and we did not have to show proof insurance Everybody was renting and everybody declined the insurance. Yet we were the only people ask to show proof of insurance. We are remodeling our home and needed the truck to pickup supplies from Home Depot, if it wasn't for that fact I would not have submitted to an obvious racial discrimination I will not rent from that location again and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.Yolanda A.

I gave my credit card info at the time of rental and then I get a notice in my email 3 days later that if I don't pay right away I will also owe a $30 late fee. I don't know why I wasn't automatically charged when I returned the equipment and checked in at the store. I have never experienced this before on any rentals from U-Haul. I set up appointment to pick up a vehicle a representative from florin road made a mistake the truck k that I need wasn't there you guys then rented a van to me that was filthy and had snail in my tire I couldn't upload pics to the new app after returning the van that had the Nil in its tire I was then given a van that was to large to park where I was going and it had more miles.than the miles that were listed on the app that wouldn't let me upload pictures whe. We had to drive all the way to this location because the first three locations did not have the size trailer that we wanted to rent. We had to rent a smaller trailer because we were going to tow it with my car. We ended up having to use my husbandâ€˜s truck after all because you didn't have the correct size trailer that we reserved. We were told we were getting a smaller trailer. This location lied about charging me for a fee they never informed me of. As I returned the equipment, I asked what my total was and what they said was higher than what I was told initially. Then both employees argue with me saying I accepted the additional coverage. None of them, nor the online reservation people, ever mentioned whatever additional fee to me. I would not have ever accepted it. I never accept insurance or any additional items for anything I rent because I have great insurance coverage already. This wasn't where I was supposed to pick up, the location I chose was overbooked, didn't have a van, had to go to different location for a truck, which was much bigger than needed, and wasted an hour of my time. People at both locations were rude, guy at the overbooked place couldn't even be bothered to say he was sorry for the screw up. I've reserved a 15' truck with plenty of time, when I arrived, after not been able to do the check in online and being in line for more than 45min, I was told that my truck was not available, she transferred my reservation from Natomas to 65th St in Sacramento under the wrong name (Dany), something told me to call them to verify, after being on hold for almost 25 minutes, I was told that under that phone number they had a Dany, I had to go back to Natomas, she changed the name, the reservation showed up in my app and now I went to 65th St, and guess what, they didn't have the truck either, by now my patience is limited it's 11am and since 8am I had being waiting, and the funny part was, that I got a call from U-Haul at around 10am saying that because I didn't picked up my rental they had cancel it, lady, I am here and you don't have the truck, well we cancel it already. So then, from 65th St, they sent me to Stockton Blvd and finally I got one but the reason why I chose Natomas it's because it was going to be a one way and I needed to save now on mileage, but guess what, now I am 16.1 miles just one way vs 3.5 miles one way, I need to get re-inburse for that extra mileage, there's a reason why I chose Penske before but, you guys were closer, never will make this mistake again!!ANALILIA M.

There were a series of mis-communications that was very frustrating for the Uhaul Stockton Blvd.location and for me. The assistant manager managed it very well. I've thanked Monica. The customer service representatives at the main office do not provide good service, They don't use manners and just hang up when they think THEY are done. This happened to me a couple times. There was a min-understanding about drop off and where I took the U-Haul trailer. On my last day, I asked your customer service representative to transfer my call which she said yes and then hung up on me. After I called the Stockton Blvd location, they said she logged in a comment about me that was not truthful. More than likely, she does this regularly. Fortunately, the staff at the Stockton Blvd location remembered me, saw the contracts, and remedied the situation. Also, the Uhaul website is horrible and does not function very well. Although I registered online before I went in to pick up the truck, it still took 40 minutes to actually get out the door with the key. Stood in line clicking buttons on the key pad, asked questions I already answered online, had to ask if the vehicle had been cleaned and sanitized, it had not...ridiculously slow process. Also had problems with the ignition switch on the truck. It kept getting stuck and the key wouldn't turn. The truck has no shocks, the ride was extra bumpy. well i was very sad when Betty sent me a text saying she was going to report the vehicle stolen. i had called the day before saying i would return the car the next day, i knew i didnt have enough in my bank account but when i returned it the next day like i said that i would have enough to cover it. i felt criminalized. my past experiences i didnt call to give a heads up and was just charged for another day, and never was i harrassed by being reported to the authorities. i was charged for insurance an additional day but had i been in a accident and hadnt paid the day prior would i have been covered? if not why was i charged?David C.

The process to check to get the uhaul was not explained I was told to go outside make sure the truck is there click ok so I did left the uhaul destination with gas tank on 0 miles I took a picture with the time I date I showed the representative on my way to return I tried calling when the uhaul got stuck on the side of the road but to no avail did I get someone. I will never use your services I was overcharged and your representative need to represent your business with pride. You guys charged me an extra 70 Dollars in gas when you shouldn't of on top of that your uhaul caused delay in my movers and overpaid them as well. You need to re evaluate your customer satisfaction and the core values of your company!!!! I guess the overcharge is worth it to know I will never be a customer nor my family. I want to first say that having a storage here for 1 year time now has been great. I've had nothing but a great experience. From the staff to the hours to the convenience of the location. Here is what I would like to see improved. The sign in method (card swipe) does not turn off the alarm system if the alarm goes off. I would want a better system that allows a card swipe to turn off the alarm when staff is not around to turn it off. Other than that the experience I've had at Uhaul whether that is the transportation aspect or the storage unit has been nothing short than a quality experience. 5 stars in my book!Eric A. | Overall Experience
