I was disappointed in the customer service I reserved a contactless rental. I recieved the wrong truck number. A employee left in the truck that was assigned to me l assumed he was getting gas.Cecile B.
Mark my customer service agent was on top of it these day. I had wanted a 6x12 enclosed but none was available so I was going to settle for a 6x12 open top. When I arrived I saw a couple of enclosed trailers and asked Mark about them. He told me that I could have one as long as I brought it back Saturday pm since they were reserved for Sunday am. What a blessing Mark is. The trip went perfect and I had the trailer back by 8pm on Friday. Thank you U-Haul.MICHAEL R.

I was charged twice for one truck rental or over $250.00. Have not been able to get anyone to answer the phone at the facility nor corporate. Issue still not resolved. Facility is under-staffed / long wait times. Had to go to another facility to pick up a trailer because the only two trailers they had on site had mechanical issues. Parking lot is way too small for the amount of equipment they have there. Access to the location from both adjacent streets is very limited and difficult, especially for a trailer or big truck. I was told I had to return the truck with 1/4 tank of fuel or pay an extra fee for them to go get fuel, however the truck I was assigned had only 1/16th of a tank of fuel. So they will charge your for making them go get fuel, but they don't actually go get fuel, just leave it up to the next renter like me.Mark S.

Double check the brake pads and the oil in the trucks and vans. The van I rented started with lower tire pressure and it said that an oil change was going to be needed soon. On the display menu. But besides that location was wonderful the people working there were wonderful it was really easy to return after hours it was really easy to rent it. The van did exactly what I needed to it was so easy to drive. If I ever need another van I will definitely be renting from hereMadeline B.

The lady that took my payment earlier in the day said she would be there till 7pm, my rental was for 6:30 however I explained to her my husband gets off at 6:30 so maybe if he works a bit later closer to 7 when we get there. We arrived at 6:55pm and she was closing up already, shouted o er her shoulder to check in online but didn't tell us how. She proceeded back into office done several things, walked out about 2 mins till 7 and locked the key in truck although we were right there. Never told us exactly how to check in, we ended up with a mess and finally figured it out at 8:30 pm and pulled out about 8:37, I doubt I will ever use uhaul again. Your customer service and how to do after hours check in a d check out should be explained exactly what one does. Not told to go to uhaul.com a d check in. We were told when we reserved 3 days before that someone would wait on us if it was closer to 7pm, she decided we weren't taking care of. Very rude lady.Gary G.

Improve your on-line computer system. I do not know what rating my hitch is rated at, but I have rented from U-Haul 4x in the past 6 months. Too many unknown answers on technical questions. Doesn't my data from previous rentals stay in your system for 6 months max.? People are great at both S. Texas Ave. College Station locations.Michael B.

rented one-way, exceeded mileage allotment by 6 miles, although I wasn't charged (thankfully); the allotment is too tight. I drove from rental pickup to my house (5 miles) to new location (4 miles out of the way to drop off) and straight to drop off.Steven S.

Rented a trailer and it was in great shape and worked well. My only problem was with the receiver hitch the agent included. I had a receiver and ball that needed to be put together (my tools weren't big enough to fit the size nut) but he offered to include one from UHaul. I should have double checked everything as I left even though I watched him hook it all up and verified the lights worked. As I was driving and coming to a stop I noticed a loud and sudden jolt and noise as if slack in the trailer. I pulled over several miles later and the nut holding the ball onto the receiver was loose. I could turn it with my hand. The cotter pin would keep it from coming off completely but still a very poor way to allow me to leave. I found it hard to believe it was not verified to be tight before leaving?? I found a pipe wrench large enough to fit it and was able to get it tight. But have to speak up and say things like this shouldn't be a concern and checked thoroughly before allowing anyone to leave the rental location without verifying the basic safety of the equipment. Otherwise, everyone I dealt with both on the pickup and return were very kind and helpful.HOLLIS R.

I brought the vehicle back with a little bit over a half a tank of gas like they said. The customer service rep said it was at a half a tank. And he still charged me for 2 gallons of gas. I should of taken a picture of the gas meter. I did not want to gargle with him. I think he was mad that I showed up 2 minutes before 7 to turn it in. All the lights were off and they were all in gut the door. 2 minutes before they were supposed to close!JODI F.

Renter beware! The mileage and fuel level were both wrong, and if you don't correct it before departure you are liable. Several people returning trucks were charged for differences because they did not verify. Makes me wonder if they do it on every truck rental. Additionally the first truck they gave us had a low tire. They wanted to put air in and us take it. Since we were driving about 200 miles we insisted on a different truck so we didn't get stuck out on the road somewhere.Linda M.

The location GM Mr. Dallas was exceptionally helpful. Given the COVID-19 situation, there were multiple issues that Mr. Dallas went out of the way to assist in resolving. I really appreciate his excellent customer service skills and inclination to assist during the times of necessity. He was always available and ready to assist. After we finished unloading our items in a storage unit close to our property, my wife lost her phone. When we were heading to the U-Haul drop off site I pulled into the gas station to fill up the rental truck. My wife continued to drive to the U-Haul site that she thought we were dropping off the rental truck. When she tried to call me she noticed she did not have her phone. She went inside the U-Haul building and asked the lady working if she could use her phone to call me. The lady told her no. She explained to the U-Haul employee that she lost her phone and needed to contact me to let me know what happened. Still no. Finally a U-Haul customer offered her phone to my wife and let her call me. I don't understand why the woman employee who was working on Sunday 1/3/2021 at around 4:00PM did not try to help my wife. A simple picking up a phone to call me to let me know my wife was at your store and lost her phone was all she had to do. Very disappointed in the lack of concern and customer service. Nightmare from the minute I called. Was on hold for 25 minutes. Decided to hang up and try to call back and the person just picked it up and said â€œholdâ€ and put me on hold for another 20 minutes Put in my order to rent and asked if it was okay if someone else picked it up for me. They said they we would pay ay the end and I could bring in my card then. I then asked again that I could oay at the end she said yes. When my friend for their they made him give his card and made him redo all the paper work, then charged his card. No ramp came on the moving fan. Wish we would have been told that. Not sure how a $19 rental turned into $55 bill when we drove less then 10 miles. No one knew what they were doing at the location, it was a mess.Albert T.
