1: When I reserved the container, I explained it was furniture/house contents that I was shipping to my brother in Missouri and that I would be out of the country during this time. I was told it would not be an issue as I could put him as the recipient. However it was an issue. U-Haul continued to contact me where to deliver the address. I get a text message while I'm in Europe that they do not have his contact information. I thought this was taken are of from the beginning because I recall getting my phone out while sitting in your office to confirm my brothers information was correct. I ended up resending his information for him to be contacted on delivery of the container. 2nd: After reserving the container I realized I used my Travel Mastercard instead of my Discover. I call your 800 number, the lady who answered was kind/polite and switched the cards for me. When the container was dropped off my Mastercard was still charged. So I call a second time and again was helped in getting the cards switched. Not sure why this wasn't fixed from the first phone call. 3rd: When the container was dropped off at my place I had 24hours to get it loaded before it was picked up. I had to load this sucker by myself. When it's delivered my brother had three days to unload it. I don't understand this. I don't know what the cause of the issues were, but I think U-Haul needs to work on internal communications with each location so snags like pickup to delivery do not happen. Just an FYI, there's a 9 hour time difference between your text messages and mine about where to deliver the shipping container. This was one of the reasons I was assured when they took my brothers information he would be contacted about when/where to deliver the container.mark R.

When I arrived I still had to wait 35 minutes to get the truck because the person doing my pickup registration was doing 2 persons job. It is really inconvenient for a person who made a reservation online to wait another extra 30 minutes. I also declined a coverage insurance on my online reservation and the person Sean Reynolds asked me if I wanted I said no and he still added. I want to know what's the purpose them of doing a reservation online if it's still going to be change at the counter. This was an awful experience for been my first time in here. Experience was overall good with the exception of inflexibility - containers were held in storage an additional week, but was charged ~$500 for a whole months storage fees with no option to pro-rate. I understand that the storage facility must make money however this charge was pretty hefty when I would not be using the other three weeks following delivery, for which I paid as well ($200). Your website and online experience is soooo screwed up. It took literally 2 days and multiple phone calls to get my reservation right. You really need to stream line things or you are going to lose a huge client base. I tried to set up a reservation on line. I ordered a 17 foot truck. Your system accepted all my info including cc. When I tried to click the acceptance of terms and conditions it would not let me. Found out later from a rep that it did that because the location I picked didn't have a 17 foot truck. How the hell would I have known that. I tried to process this transaction multiple times before giving up and calling a rep to set my appointment. I received a confirmation and reservation number and when I checked the site the next morning to find my reservation low and behold your system said I didn't have one. I called another rep and she said there was no reservation based on the phone number I gave her. Well now I had to do the reservation all over again. When I went to the uhaul store to pick up the truck the rep said he found 2 reservations in the system under MY phone number. Imagine thatâ€¦â€¦ then I was asked to verify my expiration of my license 3 times and your system didn't update. Then I was told to give my sons number and a rep would call him to verify my identity I guess. Well 30 minutes later no phone call and my reservation was completed after I texted multiple times how much longer. Horrible online experience. You need to get your act together uhaul. This process should have been 10 minutes max but turned out to be much longer and so stressful during an already stressful move. The staff at the academy location in Colorado Springs were the best!! Friendly, helpful and accommodating. The day I picked up the first set of boxes they were very busy at the desk. There was no problem. More staffed was called and each customer was helped individually. No anger or stress involved. Colorado Springs location was great but.... That was THE ONLY GOOD PART OF MY EXPIERIENCE!!! The facility in Alabama has been awful. Things didn't arrive on time, had to purchase almost 500 worth of things to be in my house without my household goods for a week, they charged ME rental space when they were the ones that moved my stuff earlier but then wouldn't deliver to my home because they didn't have a driver. They charged ME for that! Then, the box sat in my driveway for almost two weeks. They would call and schedule a pick up and not show up. that happened twice. Meanwhile, I couldn't get into my garage. After two weeks, I called to ask them to come and get it, She said he would pick it up IF HE DECIDED HE WANTED TOO. Are you kidding me? I paid, not because I decided too but because that's what we have to do. U-Haul didn't uphold their part. Absolutely terrible. Only one issue: Though my 6' x 12' trailer passed the light-check on the initial pickup, the upper right blinker did not work through the rest of my top. My sons & I were extra careful doing our move, watching out closely etc... so there we no safety incidents. I dropped the trailer off early, but the location had closed 5 minutes earlier, so I would recommend you correct this light issue before the next pickup...Peter C.

I would not recommend this location if the person who did my contract is on shift. I told her five times I needed the truck to a certain date, she confirmed it, then wrote the day before the day I requested. This caused me to have to pay late fees and of course U-Haul customer service is so terrible it takes them forever to tell you no to extending the contract after being on hold for 35 minutes.Jeff E.
Rented a cargo van for a small local move. Giving a customer a van with a low fuel warning only adds to the stress of moving. Your rentals should have at least a half tank to get the vehicle to the pick up point and delivery point without worrying about stopping to get gas in the middle of that process.Kimberley G.

Despite having an appointment time for pick-up, upon arrival, I was number six in line. I waited for over an hour to pick-up a tow dolly that had bewn pre-paid and pre checked-in. This was due to the location only offering two customer service desks. Both were tied-up with walk-ins, one of which was there the entire hour that I was. After about 45 minutes, Omar opened up his office to help additional people. This helped, but was late to be realized. The agent helping the walk-in was exceptionally kind and patient, as they had no idea how to move a car. At one point he was checking competitors, such as Penske. This was very kind. The worst service possible. Originally reserved a truck and storage online for Thursday June 10th. it didn't apply the free 1st month so I called the next day, spoke with a Uhaul rep who applied the free month. Thursday came I went to get the storage and was told other people were ahead of me, even though the I was told it was mine. The person at Uhaul helped me move the truck reservation to Friday, and told me the Galley/ Academy location had a storage unit. since I needed the storage. The next day I called and asked for that location directly, they helped me get the storage... Later on Friday, I head to the new location for the storage, I was told the same thing, thankfully the guy working there was able to find something for me... Next I went to pick up the truck... When I got there and started to check out, I notice my reservation was cancelled... I call they get the reservation set back up, I go through the steps online, get the 4 digit code for the lock box... it doesn't work, I call the prompted number, tell the rep what happens, she puts me on hold, about 15 minutes on hold I decided to use the chat. That rep gives me a few codes to try and none of the work, I'm told I have to wait on the phone... by this time is almost a half hour. I continue to wait, call from a different line and I'm told they're closed... Waited about 45 minutes and finally hung up... after panicking about not being able to get my stuff, finally a rep calls me and after her apeaking with a manager she gets me a truck at a location pretty far away st 9:30 at night... (Tiffany was amazing by the way and very helpful, the only saving grace through this whole ordeal...) So to recap. Got the reservation for a truck and strorage for Thursday at 5:30. Wasn't able to get anything unil 9:30 on Friday... Absolutely worst experience Ive ever had... The store office was clean, but my storage rental was dirty. The wire mash that went over the storage was half on and about a quarter of it was missing. The manager was extremely rude. Homeless people living in units. They were told nothing done. The lady I called at the 1800 number about it basically told me don’t worry about it because we got our stuff out. The keypad to lock the door didn’t work the whole time it was always open . The night we went to get our stuff our code wouldn’t work for us. Another person couldn’t get the sliding glass door to open to get their stuff but the homeless person was able to show them how to get side door open smh !!
