Make sure you verify what you rented, i.e. Size of truck. They told me I was good to go. When I confirmed size of truck, oh no we only have this size. Had to drive 1 1/2 hours to pick up truck. Was ordered 3 weeks in advance so this would not happen. Poor communication!!

When you purchase new vehicles it would be very nice to have a GPS. Only problem I had was getting truck back and having a way to my vehicle. New in town, didn't know anything about Uber or Lyft. On day of return I finally got connected w Lyft, great service.

Rather unprofessional and inattentive staff at check in. Not a smile on one of them and it seemed like it was an inconvenience for any of them to take the time to check me in for my rental. Was not greeted when I entered the location or treated as if my business was appreciated. I work in retail and know the value of a good customer service experience and this group all seemed like they were hungover or just didn't care. However the gentleman who checked me back in when returning the vehicle was very attentive polite and helpful, and git me checked back in quickly. But wasn't enough to compensate for the original poor customer service I received.

I signed up for a U-Haul pickup from a location 1 mile away from both my move out and move in location (5067 N Academy Blvd). When I arrived at my scheduled pickup time, I discovered that that location was *permanently* closed. I called U-Haul and didn't receive so much as a 'sorry for the inconvenience' but instead got a woman who told me my pickup location had been changed and that I'd received a text about it. First of all, I didn't receive ANY notification. Second of all, if U-Haul has screwed up so dramatically that they're booking reservations for a shut down business, that warrants at least a phone call, an apology, and a credit to my bill. Instead, I had to pay *more* money, as my new pickup location was 12 additional miles round trip. It should absolutely not cost me more money than I reserved my service for because U-Haul cannot manage their vendors. At the very least, I expected that difference in mileage to be waived. It may have only been $12, but that $12 is the difference between them redeeming their mistake and me never using their service again and making sure everyone knows that U-Haul is so unreliable that you can't rely on a truck being where you ordered it. All in all, one of the worst examples of customer service I've ever seen.

BUT as always, the wait time to get helped is way too long! Over 30 minutes and then another customer asked for the manager to help with something. That taken care of the manager turned to leave and another customer pointed out how long we'd waited and he stayed. Staff is nice, helpful, pleasant and competent, but in my experience the waiting is a big negative!

I would much rather get the vehicle with a full tank of gas and return it that way than try to fill it up to just half a tank after use. That's a pain. Otherwise, no issues.

People are all friendly - however the person that gave me the receipt when I checked out the UHaul did not tell me I would ALSO be receiving a $49.55 holding fee- which was taken out by by bank causing me to receive a bank fee! When I called regarding the holding fee I was told it should not have been applied to my account .... still waiting to hear from UHaul and still upset about a holding fee that was not foretold to me and has not been taken off my account ! I followed the rules, I think UHaul needs to be more ethical in their business practices! We did get moved - so thank you.

I inquired about being charged twice for the insurance and nobody has called us back. We had a reservation for a 9:00am pick up and the truck was dirty we needed to wait for them to clean it. Customer service people are rude and should be taught customer services skills

The wheels on the dolly were hard to roll and the service was extremely slow. The manager ignored everyone except the one person that came in after everyone and took care of them and tried leaving again. I spoke up and he tried to take care of me in front of the person who has been waiting longer than me. I want the old manager Tom back. I will not be going here again.

There was only one person working when I went to get the van. There were several people ahead of me and a line behind me. The girl at the desk was working as fast as she could. There should have been at least one other person working to assist customers.
