While the storage unit itself was never a problem, the issues I was very disappointed with was the lack of safety and upkeep of the groundskeepers. There was glass, nails, metal clips, screws, all types of foreign objects everywhere and twice Ive had flat tires after leaving this facility and the repairman has pulled chunks of glass and a screw bolt out of my tires. Several occasions I told the staff they should fix this problem. I can only imagine people who rent your trucks having FLAT TIRE issues on the road because of negligence at this facility. This is why I wouldn't recommend to anyone. You shouldn't have to pay for storage and damage to your vehicles too. Also two increases in less than a year was concerning especially when told that you're keeping up with your competitors pricing. Well it didn't take long to find multiple storage units facilities with much lower prices and clean grounds. I know GREED is the MAIN culprit in the world we live in. Will never use U-Haul again. The amount of fuck ups this location and the Georgia location has done has convinced me it's the company in general and not a specific location. Constantly getting hung up on. Transfered to different(wrong) departments each time I call. Customer services over the phone, at a specific location, and the live chat don't go anywhere. No one knows anything so you always get transferred. Can never get a call back besides one sweet lady here in GA. Why make a drop off and pick up window time when you can even deliver it within that time frame? MONEY WASTED hiring movers to be here at a time when it's estimated our things would arrive and when we sent out, just to not have the containers here. Yet again. Arden was a shit show, and GA was only better in the fact one costumer service rep was embarrassed for your company's shit show, and the kind delivery drivers. The guy at the counter was awesome but uhual service is the worst, the second time i experience this, it will be the last time. I booked a month in advanced, they called day before that I would have to drive 150 miles to pick up truck. Totally unacceptable, the rep on the phone was not doing job right I had to tell them multiple times what to keep searching for and I was able to get the truck I wanted within the same city. Then, the pick location said I could return it at an alternate location for a discount, it says on my contract also, but when I returned it the return location had no clue how to handle that kind of contract, again, I had to walk them through on how to figure it out, not my job. In front of the rep I had to call traffic center, that person also didnt know what to do, but I think they did and was just trying to get me to go somewhere else because she put me hold and came back and on my speaker phone told the return location employee what to do. The key card instructions were very clear. Being able to back into a bay with our UHaul truck made unloading easy. Two things I would change...I noticed the bay door heights were different before I drove in. It would have been better if we had been warned to avoid hitting the top. And I hadn't been told that the storage lock was inside and I needed to break the plastic ring to get in. I had to walk back to the office for clarification.Patricia J. | Online Move In

Have jackstand on 5x8 trailers optional when ordering. Moving from apt. had parking restrictions. Traveling, hotels/motels when full no parking for cars w trailers makes it hard to unhook to park into stalls.Terilyn H.

Making the reservation was frustrating and checking in as well. There are so many steps to do and a lot of walking back and forth. I'm not sure how my reservation was clicked to mobile check-in, but the associate should be able to override that if I got there in person. Reserving online was a huge hassle as it automatically put in moving gear when I opted out on those things so I had to go through one by one to delete it. Overall, my experience with this location and making the reservation was so-so for the price I paid.Raymond C.

I regret to be providing this low feedback, but am so incredibly upset with the service and lack of support from U-Haul in completing my cross country move with a U-Box. I cannot recommend U-Box and in the future will gladly pay more for a more reliable and responsive service. The initial delivery and pick-up of our U-Box was a seamless process - the U-Box arrived on time and picked-up on the agreed upon date full of our belongings. After this initial encounter, it's been an absolute disaster trying to reach U-Haul to collect our belongings. Once the guaranteed arrival date passed without hearing from U-Haul, we contacted them directly. We learned our box had arrived but couldn't be delivered for an additional two weeks past the guaranteed arrival date due to a truck shortage. This lack of communication and notice was frustrating, especially when coordinating such a large move, but we could sympathize with those limits. When we offered to pick-up our belongings personally it took U-Haul three separate visits/days to locate and have accessible our correct box. After committing multiple days to troubleshoot with U-Haul and carry our own belongings home ourselves, U-Haul is now attempting to charge us additional storage for the empty U-Box. This whole process has been a frustrating waste of time, I hope U-Haul can improve their U-Box service in the future.Rebecca A.
I was given the wrong truck and given a truck with 1/8 a tank of gas. And since I was given the wrong truck, it had to be returned to this same location and could not be dropped off to the location I had originally planned on. So I had to drive 30 miles out of my way, and got charged for those miles. When I tried to explain the situation to the manager, she seemed like she couldn't understand, even though I explained it 5 times. Will not be returning, wouldn't recommend to anyone.Jameson P.

To start I reserved the trailer at the West Sacramento location but it was not available and the employee acted as if it was no big deal . The trailer was clean but trailer emergency breaks were dragging. I got better mileage pulling my travel trailer than this trailer empty. I notified the employee who checked it back in but was given a dismissive excuse.Paul H.

Please inform anyone that the uhaul truck has no cruise control before they drive 900+ miles as my rental did not have that basic feature that would of helped me drastically because I have a disability that limited my ability to drive that far without cruise control. My mother bless her heart took over the driving for most of the 900+ mile move I had to do.Brean C.
The woman who worked the front desk was wonderful and kind. The employees there were no issue. My issue was not having any furniture dollys to rent, even when I booked the rental weeks in advance. Then the truck was given to us with only 40 miles left in the tank! The process was simple but the basic expectations for gas in the truck and equipment available when rented was terrible.CAITLYN J.

Wasn't that much impressed with my experience at this U-Haul (U-Haul Moving & Storage at Arden Way). I had reserved a utility dolly and a furniture dolly but when I took the truck and drove all the way to the storage I realized that they had put an appliances dolly instead of a furniture dolly. I coudn't drive back due to time limitations and my furniture was heavy I couldn't lift with me and my wife, so I had to pay $50 for landscapers to help move my furniture. Upon returning the equipment they didn't even apologize for the mistake they've made. Only refunded me for the wrong equipment given to me and that's actually what I suggested not them! I have rented five trailers from U hual in the last month Four trailers from the Arden arcade location. I went to that location yesterday @ 6:53 because I needed a motorcycle trailer because my bike broke down on the side of the road. They said they stop taking walk in at 6:45. I know I was there very close to closing time but I was there before they closed. They would not rent me the trailer because the MOD said it would take to long to hook up the trailer and they wanted to go home. Where is the customer service at these days. He could of made my bad day a little better if he could of taken 15 minutes more in his day to give a loyal a helping hand. But no 15 mins was to much time out of his day to help. I WILL not ever go back to the location and might not use u hual again because the mangers do not know what customer service is.Shane K.

Seems rather ridiculous that UHaul will refuse to rent to me without a secondary number at which an agent MUST speak to a live person, obtain their name, relationship to the renter, and phone contact info before the equipment will be released. Either you trust me with the equipment, or you don't, but for an early morning pick-up, to wake someone up is silly. What is that person going to be able to do in the event of ANYTHING happening. Terrible rental, the engine didn't sound good. I had a hard time getting my keys out of the trunk because the directions were very poor. When returning my rental the app wasn't working and when I deposited my keys it set off the alarm to the building. There was no way for me to complete the rental in the application online so I just had to hope for the best. The intructions were very poor.Kelly F.

I went by 4-5 days before my move in to make sure they would have my 10X15 unit for me and I was told that I would. They even showed me on their map where the location would be. I got there Sunday morning with a moving truck and staff to unload the truck and went to the office to set up everything. I was then told they didn't have my unit. They had rented it to someone else. So here I have everything with me, and they don't have a space for me. I had to have the movers jam everything into a 10X10 unit. The stupid thing on the U-Haul staff's part is that they had my paperwork along with my credit card on file there, there was a reason I went by days earlier to make sure everything would be ready, and it wasn't. Total incompetence by the whole U-haul staff who didn't seem to care. With movers it was a cost to me of just short of $700 and to not have what I asked for not available was horrible on their part. All in all they are very sure to collect my money without any problem. The stupid thing is that I went to give them my credit card and she told me she didn't need it because she had it on FILE!!! This facility manager needs to work on their customer service especially their manager. Is someone from this facility called me abou told me about my storage unit being empty and when I explain to them that I need to check on the unit before I officially relieve the unit back to them. Is that same person called my wife and asked her if the unit needed to be closed out. To me that is something a child would do when they're not getting the answer of that they wanted. My only criticism is that as a new customer, I was not allowed to choose a storage unit closer to the front of a very large warehouse, because I was told by the manager that showed me spaces that the units at the very back (furthest walk from entrance) had to be rented out first. I think that the customer that rent earlier than later should get the better choice of unit location, not the opposite. I just didn’t like the fact that there was drug users around in the area and the restrooms weren’t clean as they should’ve been. Not that it’s anyone’s problem but I only used the storage for three days and I wish the Bill was split some how since I technically didn’t use for December much. Kayle was wonderful. she did make it easy. But I have another issue with another U Haul. We got Trucks with not one drop of gas. We were told we would get a $70 credit on each truck. Never happened!!! then the Second day with the second truck it started to rain and the truck Leaked. I cannot get any help. I was told that I would get my money back!! Not happening.!! I do not wish to go Thru all the stuff you go thru to get money for damages. I will accept the refund on my truck rentals and I will call it even. thank You so much ... So of course I had to rent a larger space at a higher amount, what was I to do with a truck full of furniture sitting on the truck outside and a truck waiting to be returned. This storage facility is by far the best storage facility I have ever rented from. I am so pleased and comfortable knowing my things are safe and secure within the Arden Way Uhaul storage facility. While I was moving my things in at the facility, at least 3 or 4 times, somebody would set off the very loud, very painful to hear Siren Alarm that is set off any time a unit door is opened without having had the individual passcode that each unit lessee is given when you initially lease a unit there. It made me realize how secure the units are there. I've had my storage locker burglarized at 2 other storage facilities in the very recent past and now that I'm with uhaul, I feel safe and secure and that's worth every penny....William L. | Online Move In
