If the front desk is only going to be manned by one person, than a second person should not be stationed there doing paperwork. Its frustrating that people are waiting up to 20 (sometimes longer) minutes for services, while the only one running the desk is clearly overwhelmed, & the other one might as well be soaking there feet out.Cristian B.

This was not my first location for drop off it was told to me by the first location to go to because they had no room for my arrival. The second place assisted me, but the young lady was not sure they would have enough space either. She did a very good job but the first drop off location was very unprofessional.Benjamin 0.

I am happy with the trailer and how easy it was to do the paperwork online. My only problem is we had the pick up for 2:00 pm and we waited for an hour before we could get the trailer. In fairness; the ladies were very busy that day. My experience overall was awesome and I would recommend Uhaul to my friends.Rose T.

I was told when I rented the uhaul at 4pm I could return it past 4pm as long as it was in the yard that day. I was charged for the full 4th day even though I returned it the night of the 3rd day. When I went in to ask for a refund the uhaul associate, I believe his name was Nick, assured me it was no problem at all and he would refund the money back to my account. The refund never arrived and I called in and they said they couldn't issue a refund. I went back later to see the original man I spoke to and he apologized and said he would process the refund. I have yet to receive the refund. I needed another trailer this time for a week and I didn't feel like going back ti Uhaul and discovered Home Depot has trailer rentals. I got one for $117 for the entire week. It's a shame because I used to use uhaul.matthew P.
The agent was fine except when I needed help and she trailed her words off as she walked away. The unit though...was across a seriously icy parking lot- huge safety hazard. When I braved the distanced an arrived at the unit it was deep buried in weeks of snow. I had to sink in deep snow to tredge tonunit finding between it another truck tons of garbage...many tampons and nasty other bits. It was disgusting. Then starting the vehicle and waiting for a very faint defrost to kick in I used lots of the minimal fuel it had. Then a dash warni g came in there was a flat tire ! After 15 min of thawing the windshield enough to see I had to hunt down somebody to fix the tire. This hunting and fixing took another 20 min. I only had the truck for a few hours with lots to do and hardly any fuel in it. I told the desk agent and the tire guy the problems I've listed here. No reaction. When I returned the vehicle I put more gas in than I needed to and told the return clerk. He said " meh. It happens" Terrible service terrible upkeep and terrible experienceShauna W.

I was actually really disappointed in the whole ordeal. First, when I went to pick up the truck, there were no trucks as the location that was given to me. Nobody reached out to contact me that the truck had not been returned and then I had to contact you myself. Find a different location rush over to that location to pick up a truck. I was charged significantly more than I was quoted. Once I did finally get the truck they gave me keys to a truck that was blocked in by other trucks so I had to go back and exchange the keys for another truck that was completely covered in snow. The one thing I find extremely frustrating is one cannot call directly to the location they rented the equipment from. The call goes to a central line, which is not necessarily even in the same country, never mind city. The ability to have direct contact with the folks you deal with over the counter is paramount to good customer service, in my humble opinion.Janet P.

When I say average, I mean average for my experience using Uhaul. If I were to rate the service experience I would give it a failing grade. Staff do not receive enough training and have no resources to turn to when they need to resolve something. It should not be my job as a customer to know how the system works and educate the staff on what needs to be done, neither should I be using google on my own phone to look for uhaul support phone number to call to try and fix problems while a lineup extends behind me. This the Barlow Trail SW location in calgary. Val at the front desk helped us out when the elevator to the second floor was out of commission for days and my daughter and I could not carry things upstairs. She quickly found us a unit in a very full facility that was on the ground floor and gave us a better rate than our first rental for our troubles, and the transition was seamless and quick! Valerie and her staff at the 4 Ave NE location in Calgary were incredibly helpful as the elevator was broken and we were on the 2nd floor. It was just my daughter and myself and we could not carry our items up the stairs. She went into action and in 15 minutes had a a place on the ground floor that had just opened up and it was a larger space but she gave it to us for the same price! When I went back to the orignal office, She rented my truck. 3 hours later no truck. I phoned to complain, they said they would get back to me within 72 hours. I had a very poor experience at this location… I understand they were busy with long line ups… But I stood in line twice 15 minutes each time for one of the staff to just allow other people walking in to just go straight to their counter… people were disposing of their own personal furniture while moving in their storage units I noticed also… I feel that there’s no visible bright direction where to punch in your code because I was punching in at the wrong place which then made me go back because my card wasn’t working… Meanwhile it was because I was not using the right one… I had gassed up the vehicle I rented when i went to return 1st time but was so busy and I wasn’t able to unload due to full spaces so I left with an arrangement with staff member that i would try again next day and not be charged another day… I ended up returning later in the day to unload because I was not able to do it the next day and i was charged again for the gas… when I went to unload my stuff in my storage I could not open it so I thought that there was something wrong with the locker and ended up having to switch to one that did open but I did not realize that the locks were just sticky and needed to be WD-4’d.ELIZABETH V. | First Impressions

Is there anything less than zero? Manager is so rude the whole long line of customers was openly complaining about their past experiences. Manager evicted me with no cause, refused to allow me access, and in the end stole all my things I had piled out of his building back in just because it would inconvenience me. I used to be a loyal uhual customer and would refer anyone I met there. Never again. The correct resolution to Uhaul‘s air in renting the auto transporter is to refund the 26 foot truck rental for Calgary to Seattle and provide a credit for the truck rental from Seattle to Corona California. Unfortunately your staff, which specifically included youAt the time of my payment repeatedly ignored my request to verify that my truck information was correct. The truck has always been a four-door quad cab Dodge 4 x 4… I pointed this out to the staff repeatedly upon renting the transport that the information in the system was wrong. This came back to haunt me after I’ve been repeatedly told that I could pick up the transport hauler on Sunday morning, the staff would help me attaching to the 26 foot truck and everything was complete At the time of my payment repeatedly ignored my request to verify that my truck information was correct. The truck has always been a four-door quad cab Dodge 4 x 4… I pointed this out to the staff repeatedly upon renting the transport that the information in the system was wrong. This came back to haunt me after I’ve been repeatedly told that I could pick up the transport hauler on Sunday morning, the staff would help me attaching to the 26 foot truck and everything was complete when the decision was yours as the general manager both Tanner and Samantha blamed the staff and you for not double checking and confirming and said I should be compensated… Now that the decision seems to be Samantha‘s she has taking a 180 and is denying responsibility. This is shameful and the reason Barlow has the reputation that it does dating back a number of years. It would save everybody a lot of time and money to simply credit my rental of the truck between Calgary and Corona. Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that this is not my fault, I have been upfront transparent and proactive while Uhaul has not only broken their customer agreement but also put me in a position of having to spend the time and at least $2000-$3000 to have my truck transported from Calgary to corona because of time constraints which were entirely Uhaul‘s fault. I hope you will reconsider this proposal and save every One involved a lot of time and embarrassment in the process. I’m asking for the bare minimum and resent the fact that your own staff has gone from turning against you when it was your decision to now turning against me when I’m not standing there in person. This is a regrettable experience and I’m hoping that levelheaded Uhaul employers, area managers are corporate will One involved a lot of time and embarrassment in the process.
