This was just a great experience at the U-Haul on Fairfield Avenue in Black Rock (Bridgeport). The staff was knowledgeable about rental rates re different types of trucks/vans and how to rent to get the best deal for your buck. (we rented for 3 full days). Just as important. the entire staff was courteous and friendly. The return process for the vehicle.was also very smooth and easy. On a 1-10 scale they get a 10 for sure.!!!Lionel D.

The floors are like an off-road course,the elevator is way too small,needs a freight elevator really bad,the lights kept going off every couple of mins,there was never any paper towels in the restroom and the threshold coming off the elevator and especially the one for the outside door are a real pain in the butt and my unit was pretty much on the other side of the building way down in the dungeon,other than that, it was great,oh and the carts need brakes really bad too,especially the mattress carts,trying to get a mattress on one of those is a real chore,oh and now they come with the “cleaning fee increase in rent by $7.00/month,not during the height of covid but a year later,which is exactly the thing that made me move out,and nothing, I mean nothing is free,sorry to sound so whiny but y’all asked for my comments.george f. | Overall Experience

Customer service at this location was lacking to say the least. Front desk rep allowed me to struggle with the mobile app pickup process for 45 minutes before finally overriding the reservation and completing it manually for me. Even after I showed her multiple times the system was not loading and working properly. She just keep suggesting that it was my internet connection and to connect to the Uhaul WiFi. I will never set foot in the location I rented from ever again. Nor will I send anyone, I know to the certain failures they will equally encounter in customer experience. My net promoter score for this location and company would be a 7 of 100 which is in line with the WellsFargo failures of the past.Jeffery M.

normally this location is great! but this time.... the so called touchless pickup wasn't. i had to go into store to get the key versus using lockbox outside. what's the point of doing this online? also never received contract nor receipt after drop-off, and they weren't accessible via the app. the app doesn't work well as it just spins trying to get copy of contract. overall a poor experience this time. was better in the past....Rick P.

I was told I am unable to get extend my rental for one hour because someone else is renting after me, however I called customer service and they were able to update it for the extra hour. Also when I returned the guy was so rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Told me he doesn't have time as I was trying to ask for help on what to do exactly. I would recommend uhaul on pine. I was not aware that they had a handtruck and moving blankets already in the truck that I rented. I had my own hand truck and blankets and did not need theirs. The hand truck was in my way and I had to move it. Normally they charge seven dollars to unlock the handtruck. However after I explained the situation to them they did not charge me. Uhaul advertises a $19.95 truck rental plus whatever rate per mile. It wasn't until after picking up the truck that I was notified that the day rate for the truck was $99. Thumbs down to UHaul for baiting and tricking customers. I paid $170 to rent a cargo van for less than one day. At Hertz I paid $70 for the same truck for the same amount of time.Christopher D.

Initially when starting with UHaul the connection was not the best. I went to one UHaul in Bridgeport and they could not assist with tranfer to the correct location of UHaul in Bridgeport. With a family member we had to travel a long distance and go to UHaul at least twice to be able to get in to the unit as the covering employee had not been informed how to handle the situation.
