I was sent to a Home Depot to find a part cause they could not hook up the trailer to a hitch that they installed. Once I got to the Home Depot they called me and said come back. We figured it out.. this was a waste of time and very stressful. I was told originally I could pick this trailer up in Danbury and then the day before I was to pick it up I was told I had to go to Bridgeport.. I will never use U-Haul again

Had to fight him to print an updated receipt for me after a $20 charge was added to my bill. Uhaul advertises that you don’t pay for gas. Blatant lie. Charging for miles and gas is a double charge. I'm furious that the back door got stuck after we filled everything in it. My son and husband tried and tried to pull it closed but could not. We were in CT driving to PA and anxious to get on the road. This issue wasted so much needed time. And it was a newer truck with less than 500 miles. I'll be calling customer service to address this. And the truck was almost on empty, but paperwork said 1/4 tank was needed to return it without being charged. Someone lied about the truck have a quarter tank. And at over $300 I will never give my business to U-Haul again.

I was renting this storage unit for years and my closing time of this unit was unfortunately not a very friendly one. The employee at this Branch location was a little rude, not friendly. I went in I said I was closing a storage unit. He ended up charging me another month fee which was over $200. Then told me to call customer service to put a complaint on that because the computer said that's what he had a charge. If I was there for closing a unit. I don't understand why they charged me another month but anyway my purpose of leaving is because I was already fed up with the way U-Haul was running this location. I am very proud to have left.

The right blinker didn't work. I didn't find out until I had already driven the trailer. 100 mi and somebody on the highway indicated to me that the blinker wasn't working. The gas level of the truck indicated a much higher level than I was given. When I picked up the vehicle. I ended up returning the car with extra gas to avoid any issues.

The unit I was assigned did not have any lighting. It was not climate controlled which I expected. My belongings have a strange odor. Access was extremely inconvenient. I was grateful to be assigned a first floor unit but even so the unit was very difficult to access. Parking was horrible. The loading dock was always lock. Even if I could access it was way too high for car access and I would not be able to get inside from the ground. I would never use this use this location again or recommend it to anyone. It was also dirty outside. Trash, and leaves all around. When I was taking my belongings out the last day a dead baby bird was on the ground next to the hose that the employees were using to clean the trucks. No one bothered to dispose of it. I am sure they walked past it a number of times. The hose was always laying around causing a trip hazard for those accessing the door to the units.

I wonder how many people almost went to jail over receiving bad customer service. Egg head Ricans Lynn DeJesus & her young associate were completely unprofessional & out of order. They were too busy flirting with guys to find my correct account. Blamed me like I work there. Rented me a truck to move out of storage then proceeded to say I couldn’t get in my unit. Lied and said they reversed the truck payment. A mess. Calling real customer service repeatedly was the only solution for basic miscommunication. Wasted time. “Aggressive” attitudes. These people are too busy rushing you off at the counter to understand you. Just so she can go smoke those nasty cigarettes like a crack head next to the trucks gas tanks while the line builds up inside. How do people like that become Assistant Managers? Why would I expect them to have simple printer paper to give me a receipt?… They only send you 1000 email notices if you pay late, but they can’t buy printer paper on time I see. The managing Owner mister Dane Grant is never around when you need him to address your escalated concerns, but conveniently around when you don’t need him to be in your business and call cops for no reason. No real help. I will never return to this ghetto nightmare since I moved on to a city with better service. Reporting on every business platform. They don’t even provide a dump, just to collect a garbage fee I’m sure. As if units don’t cost enough for a dump on that big lot. Plus bad parking. Go elsewhere in the area to find the many other better storage facilities and professional service. This one doesn’t deserve the money.

The entire staff was amazing. General Manager response time was so effective when I need assistance with access key!!!!! This was my first time using storage and I was moving out of my apartment. When I was reserving the storage facility I told the customer representative I needed something for a 1-2 bedroom size storage unit she advised me this size would’ve been enough. When I got to the facility they had no elevator or ramp and we had to go down stairs with our items. This was not disclosed neither over the phone or at the facility before being taken to the unit. When I saw the unit it was very small and couldn’t fit nothing the size a one bedroom could fit. I am so upset and disappointed because now I am being charged $180.00 for a unit that cannot fit what I need it to and now I need more storage and basically has to spend more money to fit my bed and dresser. I would honestly like this to get a bigger facility because this feels like a rip off at this point. The employees were friendly but the service did not meet my expectations definitely would not recommend!

My unit somehow managed to house a few mice. Even though there was no food stored there but sofa, furniture, boxes of clothes and decorations, etc. Almost everything which was destroyed by them. I was informed that one of the units near by had been forced to vacate due to having food in it. Which is why it caused them to move to my unit. If proper maintenance was taken, my items would not of been destroyed.

Had to store stuff in the basement, no elevator so had to take heavy stuff down a treacherous set of old stairs then back up and out again! Otherwise, no issues

Yes or no answers here are not adequate. For example, my storage space was clean enough, but light not working, so it was pitch black inside. The staff did their best to provide a substitute battery light, but it was not properly maintained. Also, I was not aware that the space was down a long flight of stairs, no elevator, no ramps for hand trucks. Very disappointed with that. And, one should be able to return the truck to any of the three U-haul places in Bridgeport. Very inconvenient, now.,

Staff not very nice at all I will like for someone to contact me because I can’t find my big box of jewelry I left in unit 502 that was next to the door looked in all boxes now Idk what to do I will like for someone to stay in contact with until I can’t figure out what’s going on just because someone close a unit doesn’t mean they got good service are help at times this place needs news staff. The unit was uncomfortable for moving large heavy furniture due to stairs and a beam cutting across unit reducing the size of the unit.

It was inconvenient for me because every time I try to use the loading dock the uhaul trucks were always blocking the area. In my opinion they need to park all their trucks away from blocking the loading areas and give their customers space to move their items.
