This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a UHaul. I just rented a truck for a few hours but all of the staff were welcoming and very helpful. I haven't seen a genuinely thrifty employee at any business in what feels like a couple of years. 5 stars, great staff.

Moved in from another location due to property sale. Mgr Cy quoted me an agreement but then changed it. It was a tremendous ordeal moving in with locks, lockouts, pass cards, poor service from Mgr and staff. I have been a customer of Uhaul for abt 10 yrs at the Airport location. I was well treated and i maintained an excellent payment history. While there, the location was managed by several managers which I enjoyed a friendly relationahip. Cy has ended that. I will never utilize Uhaul again. She has made it difficult financially to move out, but i will as soon as I'm able.

I noticed that I had been paying for the unit for year and the pipes across the top were cutting out quite a bit of cubic space for storage. Now I have 2 Units - both with that same problem and I’m paying twice as much. There should be something that can be done about this. It feels wrong to charge people for space that isn’t accessible. Everyone was nice who I worked with thought they may have not always had a good solution for my space issues and I continue to be a customer.

Unfortunately when I arrived with my movers, I was informed that there was a power outage earlier that day and the elevators were out. There was not another unit my size on the 1st floor. My movers and I had to trek up and down the stairs to move my belongings. No compensation was made.

Renting was easy and the facility was in great shape. I had no issues at any point, and felt confident that my items were stored safely, and I felt safe visiting the facility during both daylight and nighttime hours.

When I went to pick up my van, the on site manager expressed that some vans had been stolen. This hurts not only this locations reputation but also hurts the customers that have reserved a van. I'm not sure if U-Haul has implemented this or not but I suggest putting trackers on all the vehicles in order to recover them from clients that have stolen the vans. I've been renting from U-Haul for several years and unfortunately theft like this has become more common, and while you can't track everything your company rents (ex. hand trucks, piano dollies, moving blankets etc), I feel that vans are the easiest of all the items to track. Have the trucks full of gas for new customers. When you leave with a quarter tank of gas it's almost impossible to return with the same level of gas, so to be safe you end up returning with more gas than you left with. Not a good policy.

Staff just didn’t care at all. My reservation was made ahead of time to include a utility dolly and furniture dolly, neither of which were available. The response was (paraphrased)….we don’t have dolly’s for one way out of state. If that’s true then I shouldn’t be able to select those items when I’m booking a one way out of state reservation.

The side mirror on the passenger side of the box truck could not be moved so I could not place it to where I could see any cars behind me even the manager Amy attempted to move it to, and she couldn’t move it either that truck should not be driven or leased out until that window is fixed. It’s a liability not the window. Excuse me the mirror, it’s a liability on U-Haul part

The manager Cy was so incredibly rude to me from the moment I walked into the store. She interrogated me on why we rented the truck for 2 days and said if we had just packed before renting the truck we wouldn’t need it as long. It was completely out of pocket and none of her business. She refused to show me a policy that I asked about and said I should just “trust the manager”. She grumbled at us and made us feel absolutely awful. Will NEVER return to this location because of Cy.

The gentleman at the store made the experience good. Otherwise it would have been a disaster. The trucks weren’t ready for mobile pickup and I’d have been stuck without my rental. The gentleman was helping in that store that day, so it wasn’t his main store. I don’t blame him for the equipment access issue but when we went in he was very helpful. Also, the pads were missing so the truck wasn’t restocked. Saved by the employee. Truly. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be raring this experience any more than terrible.

Was told while making reservations online for cargo van it was $19.99, had it for 24 hours from 9am to 9am next day and was charged $180 and another $70, which I think is outrageous, will need a clear explanation as to what the charges are for. Thanks, 5122991227.

Went to Burnet/183 location only to find all vans were rented. Stella quickly volunteered to locate one for us. Turns out there was one down the road at Burnet/2222 - she reserved it for us. We rushed down and dealt with Kristian, he was great! Got us checked in and on the road in no time, very helpful and kind. The customer service at both locations was amazing - highly recommend.

The manager of this facility had great customer service skills. I had originally left a less then excellent review because my climate controlled storage unit was very warm inside. The manager read my review and was friendly and helpful. She moved me into a different unit where the air conditioning was working well (this was the middle of the summer when everyone was having issues with their airconditioning). I take back my last review. They were friendly and handled the situation.

Although for some reason, I had a tough time doing my move in by myself because the code given didn’t originally work. Heather was extremely helpful and showed up in no time to help us get in. The person at the front desk tried to be helpful, but was not very well trained on their job. The facility is really hard to navigate with a trailer. There had also been an advertisement for one free month of rent with the rental of a truck or a trailer. However, they said they only did that with one way rentals at this location. This was disappointing since the location I was at earlier in the day for the rental said that they would have honored that. But my biggest complaint is that I paid for a climate controlled unit, but my unit is probably about 80° inside.

This location is particularly run very well. The on-site management is superb. The facility was very clean, secure, and gave you a sense of old Austin. This is the best storage facility among several that I have used in Austin & Houston. The staff is outstanding, available, efficient & highly professional. They are visible on the property & willingly assist with problem solving. The facility is very clean & importantly safe; access to units & staff is controlled. Y’all let someone break in and multiple units were broken into. Maybe a little money back would be nice? I’ve been a customer for over 10 years. Unacceptable. The way the lot slopes is a safety hazard. The carts won’t stay still easily while loading. They will roll away if you’re not careful.

Staff were super nice and helpful, and we appreciated it very much. My wife had problems setting up auto-pay on the website. It kept telling her it was set up for both units but one unit incurred a late fee. But the staff was kind enough and refunded it. We still don't know what went wrong in trying to set up auto-pay for both units. Issues: Days before we were to move in, we verified that our unit was still available. But it wasn't held for us and so we had to get two storage units. We were given a discount, but we've calculated we paid $150 more than we would have if they hadn't given up our original storage unit. After only 3 months, our rent already went up! We were dependent on our contractor to move back in our house. It ended up that we only needed the storage unit one week into the renewal. We were again disappointed that we couldn't be partially reimbursed for the remaining three weeks. We realize we aren't talking about lots of money, but for us these additional expenses added up. Finally, when the moving company came to both move us in and then again move out our furniture the elevator stopped working! That was so stressful as we were not only paying them by the hour, but the first time they had to walk up the two flights of stairs. Luckily, the 2nd time the elevator was up and running in a relatively short time. So again we really appreciate all the help we were given, but we just can't give a high rating due to our reservation not being held, the cost of the units, and to the finicky elevator.

The staff at the Burnet Rd/2222 UHaul Storage in Austin, TX is excellent! I've used this UHaul Storage 3 different times for 3 different reasons and each time the staff was always exceptional. I most recently cleared out a unit that I'd had for 2 years and I have only good things to say about this place and the people who run it. Everyone should get a raise!

Erika was very helpful and friendly, but when I locked myself out of my storage unit, the other employee was not helpful at all. I don't understand UHauls policy that you have to hire an outside locksmith- so ANYONE can just bring someone in to saw off a lock? Doesn’t seem very secure. If this is not UHaul’s policy, then employees should be on the same page. I called and was told 3 different things. I was told at another location that Uhaul would help me take it off for no cost but I would have to purchase a new lock. Thank goodness the locksmith I hired ended up being SO kind and taking off the lock for me free of charge because UHaul would not.

The Uhaul return storage assigned with a free month didn’t accept trailers!! Insane!! On the spot, I called UHaul, reserved at Burnet for $85 a month! I was angry!! However, Ethan fixed everything!!

I paid for an AC unit - there was no AC. The facilities were disgusting and covered in dirt. The fire alarm battery was beeping. Corporate refused to help. I moved my stuff to another facility.

OK untill the end when I asked If my rate per month would be the same? he said ‘oh, it can change, it can go up or down I’. I never got a contract so not sure where my rate may go. I’ve cancelled.

I really appreciated Matt, the staff person who was there the many times I went into the store for boxes, renting trucks, & anything related to the storage unit I was renting. He is a huge asset!
