BEST Uhaul experience I've had in a really long time. Van was clean & new, but the level of service provided by the General Manager Erika was top notch ...she even actually RAN to retrieve the 2 dollies I rented along with the van.
The fist truck I picked up from this location unfortunately would not start after I shut it off the first time. I was able to get it jump-started and Erika (I think was her name) I called her, the first thing she told me was she's take 20% off my bill and that I could bring it in and swap out trucks. Overall I was very satisfied with the level of help and service from Erika. Thanks so much!

My name is Chase Aldredge and I rented a 15' box truck from the Austin location on Burnet rd yesterday. First off I signed up for mobile pickup and when I got there the truck wasn't ready in the parking lot so I had to go inside. That ended up taking almost 30 mins so it took time off my rental. Then they got me to pay $97 for an average of what I was going to pay for the miles I selected. I then return last night and it tells me my total is $86 and was trying to get me to pay with a credit card. What is going on here? Why didn't I just get charged when I returned the truck? Why is it asking me to pay when I already paid $97 in store? Why was the truck not ready? On the app it said the truck was ready and had the truck number that I was to get. Then when I go inside (which I wasn't supposed to do) they roll out another truck that isn't even the same number. What if they would have been closed? I would have been screwed. I just can't understand why something like that wouldn't be ready to pick up. Am I getting a refund for the $10 I overpaid? This is a pretty bad experience my first time renting with uhaul. I don't think I'll be doing it again when I'm asked to double pay for my truck. It would have made a lot more sense for me to just pay the amount when I returned last night. You had my card on file and I no one knew what the true amount was going to be until I returned with the mileage. Please get back to me and return my $10 that I overpaid. Chase Aldredge
All of your vehicles lack proper hooks for use with ratcheting tie-down straps. It is extremely difficult to tie loads to the wooden rails. My delicate load was nearly damaged when it shifted in transit, easily avoided if the truck was equipped with hooks or rings.
The check in app did not work for me; i was parked across the street. Expand location proximity for check in?
With self pick up, need more info about van features like AC controls and how to estimate gallons needed to refill gas tank.

It would be really helpful if we had been notified in person that we needed to actually follow the link in order to return the truck or be charged an extra $20 fee. It seems this process is relatively new (at least to me) and it seems uhaul would want to be sure their customers are notified in as obvious a way as possible.

I got a more comprehensive explanation of rates this time and found it helpful. Mileage rates are complex, compared to car rentals. Got different info at different locations and different rentals. I'm learning to ask more questions. Terminolgy was confusing as well. Overall sales reps. were helpful.
Truck was dirty. No furniture dolly. And person working was rude
