The entire experience from start to finish was spectacular! The Sales/Customer Service Reps were very knowledgeable about the process and answered any questions I had. Also, while driving from New Orleans to Houston, the car in front of us rolled over tire debris on the highway and it hit the windshield and shattered it. When we arrived to Houston, we called 1-800-GO-U-HAUL and received immediate service. The windshield was replaced at no charge to us because at the time of renting the van, we did get the extra insurance coverage. This made the moving experience less stressful, with such wonderful people working with us. Thank you U-Haul!!

JOHN PThis is a good location with good people. I have used it several times. My "no" comment on the equipment is in relation to this specific truck---specifically the back door. The door is extremely hard to pull down. I weigh about 200#, and I would have to jump off the back of the truck while holding the door strap and both pull with my arms and use my weight to pull the door down; and even then, it took me several attempts on several different tries. The door is bent. It looks like something from inside the truck slid to the back and bent the door so that when it is raised to the fully up position it is very difficult to pull back down.

KIANA WWhomever the representative was on Saturday 9/6 was very rude. I tried several times to call & inform them I was running late. I was placed on hold & twice we lost connection. After telling one representative I was hung up on several times she replied it wasn't me. Well it was someone. She wouldn't allow me to explain and replied, "baby I don't have time to argue with you". I hung up and called customer service. While talking to them, someone from the facility called back. The argument started again. I informed the agent Josh of the representative attitude. The don't know how to document gas range. An elderly lady interrupted my conversation as I was explaining to the representative that I would be making a double rental. Her response & inquiry was very nasty. This location is the worst that I have every visted. If I could give zero stars I would. I would always rent from Central Avenue location. The workers are very friendly & always willing to give a helping hand. Maybe they can teach your Causeway Store Customer Service.

ROBIN JWe mistakenly left something in the bed of the truck, and it was not returned to us. If the workers are thoroughly cleaning these vehicles they would’ve found the tool box and should have contacted us once it was found (it was sitting on the passenger seat of the truck, in the cab). I realize that it was our fault that this was mistakenly left, but— to have it not returned, is/was extremely upsetting. We personally will never support this UHaul location, and be certain to inform others of our experience. Mistakes happen— but it shouldn’t result in theft.
Aaron WAlthough the facility was great, the truck was not. Issues with the steering and transmission were starting to show up 50 miles into my 500 mile trip. With no built in wifi and no gps, I had to rely on my cell phone to show the way. But I couldn't see the directions because there was no place to put the phone. Real safety hazard since in all the states I was driving through, it was against the law to drive with a cell phone in your hand. Problems were reported to the drop off location.
ELMO CTypically I have a positive experience at this U-Haul but today was different. The appliance dolly was not available yet greatly needed and the vehicle was parked against the back of the building after walking around the parking lot trying to find it (after being told it was in front). It could have been earlier. The representative was friendly though but could have been smoother.

For any move, but especially between New Orleans and the North Shore, this is an ideal location. I've been renting from uHaul for years, and I want to add that they have not been contributing to inflation in this country. Their prices are crazy reasonable. They will always be my first choice when I need to rent a truck or a trailer.

The management and employees are all polite and kind and service oriented. The rates are not inexpensive, but the entire situation and its high level of security are worth every penny. I could not be more satisfied.

A lot of items were damaged with large holes chewed through them although they were inside heavy-duty plastic storage containers. Most of them were new bedding and clothing items. Picture frames were eaten. Items were also mildewed. When I first rented the unit, I noticed a black bait box in it. I guess I should have gone on a monthly basis to throw rat poison inside the unit. I thought I would only be renting the unit a few months, but I was diagnosed with cancer and my plans had to change. I paid rent for 22 months. I left on Jan.18, 2024. My rent would have been due on Feb.4, 2024. I rented a truck from them to move out. I asked Brad what I needed to do to end the contract as I was removing everything. He said that Ms. Slyvia would see it in the morning and take care of noting it. I swept the floor before I left. When I returned the truck to a different location that same day, the office was closed and I had to notify them by email. Then I called the 800 number to make sure everything was okay. The woman I spoke with was told about the condition of the unit and that items had been ruined. I said that I hoped I didn't bring any rodents home with me. She said she would pass the message up to management, and someone would call me. No one has contacted me. My rent was by auto payment on the 5th of every month. They had the gall to email me 2 days ago to remind me of my upcoming payment withdrawal. I spent a lot of money to store these items, and I thought they would be safe. I'm very disappointed, bur if I ever need to use any storage unit again, I know I will bait it myself. I rented a pod from another company for over a year and never had one problem. Nothing was damaged by rodents, roaches or rain. Nothing was ruined by any means.
