very fast checkout no problems. Truck was noisey at highway speeds 65 The engine made a funny noise at 2100rpm like a belt slipping squealing then it would go away at cruising rpms. overall good experienceWILLIAM K.
This location is above and beyond. Tight run ship. My truck was parked where I could get out easily and when I realized I accidentally got a truck without a ramp swapping it was seamless. And then the next truck was easy to get out too. My drop off was literally less than a minute. It was cleaned and was mechanically flawless. The ramp came out and went back in easy. Thats a big deal if you've ever had to fight a crooked ramp!Robert J.

It took 30 minutes to complete the online checkin including finding someone to help get the steering wheel unlocked so the truck would start. And all that time went against the 6 hours I was allowed. Not happy about that.John P.

Drivers side door had to be slammed in order for it to latch closed. Plus, the radio doesn't work. Other than that, truck worked fine and was clean.STEVE R.

The check in process is very slow. Your staff is trying very hard to make everything easier with the use of mobile devices and wifi connections. However, your system is slow and does not work. I was able to upload the front of my license but the back. When I returned the vehicle your system would not recognize that I was at the same location where I picked up the vehicle. So I just locked up the vehicle and placed the key in the overnight box. Finally, It's been more than 24 hours since I returned the vehicle and I still do not have a final receipt with the final charges. U-haul should make larger investment in creating or buying better computer software and/or equipment. Felix DillonFELIX D.

When I returned the van, the person responsible for checking the vehicle and give me the final receipt was completely unprofessional and unethical. When I asked him for his name he refused to give it to me and threatened me if I complain he will damage the van and charge me more. I tried to get his name from another person working there (here name is Emily) she said that she does not know as well. This person was sent that day with another two guys to help her since she was alone running the place. She apologized for that person behavior but this is not enough. An employee like this is a huge liability to your company and this location specifically. I was planing to report him to the police and ask my lawyer to deal with that. Then I got this email from your company asking to report my experience and I thought it might me good to mention this case here so everyone knows how some employees behave in your company. It appeared that this store was short on staff when I picked up the truck. One employee was in training, was friendly but it was her 1st day. The rest of the staff and my other 2 visits I was helped to purchase moving boxes etc. Very helpful.SCOTT D.

I’m sorry but I lost my optimism when these reasons were presented to me: 1) My unit was not what I reserved. 2) The unlock/securing-support does not function. I cannot use it without banging on it with a hammer. Difficult to lock my items & until it is fixed—NOT SURE HOW LONG YOU WILL DELAY THAT. 3) I am challenged with any loads I want to take there. 4) I still don’t know if this unit will be large enough since I lost significant space with the 30”+ diameter concrete post in the center! 5) Could not even get the climate-controlled unit I reserved! Your crew there did all they could to assist me. My dilemma with the unit closure not working is not their fault. Notes were made to alert me when a unit that I attempted to reserve becomes available. At that time I will decide if I want to pay movers AGAIN to move my items. Emily was very good and the gentleman that assisted at the return was also very good, courteous and fast. The vehicle was exactly what I needed. Thank you. Two issues for me. 1) I think I had paid for the vehicle for a day because I had to keep it overnight due to the timing of my need for the vehicle. Not an issue, but I was told the location needed the vehicle back by 8am>830am at the latest. I did comply with this but it did create some inconvenience for me. 2) It was difficult assessing the proper level of gasoline to fill into the tank and as a result I probably put into it US$ 8-10 more gas than was required. The above items did leave me being somewhat sour knowing that 5.5 hours of usage and 88 miles cost me around US$130 total cost. Sincerely, mkaMICHAEL A.

Was originally supposed to drop off at 15455 N84th St in Scottsdale per my rental agreement. They refused to take the drop off and I was on my own to find a location that would accept the drop off. Extremely poor customer experience. Staff was no help.Tim S.

I sent a friend to pick up a key card for me because I was arriving after store hours and she told me the person who helped her was super rude and condescending and not really helpful at all. This location also charged me a month earlier than both what they were supposed to and what was confirmed online, causing a $36 overdraft fee and draining my bank account while I was already having money deposit issues. I’ve also tried contacting the general manager for the Cave Creek location multiple times and no one has gotten back to me on anything even when they deign to answer the phone. They take a message and the call is never returned.
