I was pleased using this storage facility for the past 6 years, till this week when I was moving my things out and was not able to open the entrance door get to my unit. The office would not answer my call and I had to drive to the office asking for help. I got quite a run around when they argued with me. I experienced the same problem each day this past week. I told those in the office that this franchise will loose money cause this location is NOT user friendly. I called the facility, several times, no one picked up, to ask if there is an online check-in for a storage room, I was told no!. I then went back online to reserve and I checked in, the employee said only possible at the facility. When I finalized my storage online, we got a message that our lock would be in the storage room, it was not, we had to go and ask for it, this was inconvenient!! It was very difficult to find the entrance for truck return. This location does not clarify that it accepts trucks, as the sign only says 24/7 storage. upon returning the truck, I received a $31 fuel charge although the truck had been returned at the same fuel level it was on when I received it (as documented). Again, the staff was able to resolve the issue- without apology. However, yet again, I am out of money for 3-5 business days at a mistake on the end of the company. My experience using Uhaul's vehicle was great, but having to deal with 2 reversed charges on the same rental is extremely inconvenient.Aryel L.

This location is in a difficult section of town. Parking is very limited. My pickup was perfect but when I was dropping off, non-customers had taken over the parking lot and I had to physically stop on the service road and wait probably 5 minutes for someone to leave. It was very difficult to find a trolley to move items to and from the storage units. Inside the place was dark and sketchy. The driveways between the buildings were dirty too. I dropped off a few items and a few days later I came back with more. During that time someone had come in and placed a rat poison station in my unit. Nothing. I was very impressed with the staff. Chris has an incredible way with people. I saw him calm the customer before me who was panicking about life events and who had misplaced her keys. He was also very sympathetic and gave sage advice to me about life after my job delayed my start date, necessitating me to put my belongings in storage. I mostly interacted with Chris, but Olivia assisted me the next day and she was also super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.David Y.

Only alotted 111.00 for this rental my debit will over draft my bank account ..at 196.dollars iam senior and would never kept truck to be charged another day. I sent a email about the broken Driver side MIRROR did not know until i got on freeway. It flip flopped back and forth could not hold it the whole drive i asked for a credit on my rental. The best thing about the location at 13637 N Central Expressway (Central & Midpark) is their employee, Johnathon. â€œJohnâ€ is the kindest, most helpful and hardworking person. He always goes above and beyond to help you and does so with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. This location is made better by John and U-Haul should feel lucky to have a dedicated employee like him! Anyway, the location is small but doable. I reported the unit was leaking water during rain for 3 months and always got the same response. "Good to know. I've been telling them we need a new roof. What unit are you in?" Which always lead to the, "I'll tell my manger and have them call you." No one ever called. Then I move out of my storage and clean it yesterday. Leave and receive an email from my bank 2 hrs later that they charged me another months rent. I'm just confused. We never talked about him charging me another month. Made a 2 o clock reservation. The customer service representative stepped out to lunch at 2 so I couldn't get my van on time. Spent half an hour on the phone with customer service. 95% of the call was spent on hold. The other 5 percent was people picking up to tell me that they're gonna put me on hold again. I returned the Uhual with a full tank of gas although I received it with 3/4 of a tank. Shortly after dropping off the uhual, I received an email stating i was charged a $25 cleaning fee. I called the location to see what that was for. The gentleman said the cleaning fee was only charged because I failed to fold my 10 furniture pads and that "it was clearly stated on the truck." Now, it's not the $2.50 charge per pad that upsets me. It's the fact that I was not credited back the difference for the extra gas nor did they deduct the overage off the "cleaning fee." It's very difficult to pump exactly 3/4 of a tank without potentially having to do it a second time to ensure you get the right amount and not be under. If I would have returned it with so much as 1 line below what I was given, they would have charged me a ridiculous upcharge on gas. But when I give it to them with over what I received, they consider it a wash? Although the charges were mynute, it is the lack of integrity that gets me the most. I have used Uhual for over 9 years, moving through 6 different states, but sadly this will be my last. Very disappointed.MARY W.

The representative that originally put in my reservation with an incorrect email address. THEN, to make matters worse , the code to open the truck was not associated with the correct vehicle. After attempting the different codes presented by your representative,(which took an hour), she finally came up with a solution. I had to get another vehicle , fortunately it was at the same price. The website does not let you set up a reservation for cargo vans or trucks, so I ended up calling the location to make my reservation. I gave them all the details but they entered my email address wrong on their side and because of that my whole experience was ruined. I downloaded the uhaul app on my phone and set up my account but couldn't find my reservation anywhere (because of the email address). I sat in the uhaul parking lot on the day of my pickup talking with support trying to figure out how to pick up the van without interacting with a human to promote social distancing. But because nothing was working I ended up having to go inside and talk face to face with an employee. Please just allow cargo vans to be reserved online and none of these problems would have happened.Daniel W.
