I was called 2 days before my pickup date and told I would need to do a round trip instead of a one way. No big deal because I was quoted the same price so I agreed. Moving is stressful so the last thing you want is to be told a different price when you go to pick the rental up. This was done and it was double the cost. The sales guy fixed it after 30 minutes on the phone. Then I got a call halfway to my move and was told a new contract had to be written and I had to provide my credit card again. No big deal I guess. Then I return the truck 12 hours early and when I check the truck in I'm told yet again that I owe more than double what I paid already in the morning. This was the worst experience I've ever had with uhaul. The right hand needs to know what the left hand is doing. I won't rent again from this location. It's better to rent from smaller locations where it's ran by a person who cares.

Attendant Gbo Gbo Foster did a spectacular job. He carefully twisted the safety chains and checked the trailer wiring connector. He found that my 10 year old hex to 4 flat connector didn't work so he went inside and brought out a new one which solved the problem.

The truck needed a running board. It was too tall for me to get in and out of comfortably. It also did not have cruise control which made a long trip hard on my right knee. Auto windows and locks would have been nice as well. Very UNCOMFORTABLE trip!!

We reserved a truck in advance with a credit card online. We were told that, since we reserved well in advance, we were guaranteed to have that truck and we would be able to drop it off at our destination's drop off location. The morning of our move, an hour before we were supposed to pick up the truck, we were told that we couldnt have the truck. Luckily, my wife convinced them to double check and we were able to secure the truck we reserved almost a week prior. We were relieved that we wouldnt have to stay in a hotel until Uhaul decided they could fimd us a truck or make multiple trips in a smaller truck; both expensive and inconvinient. Our relief was short-lived, as the associate explained that we would have to return the truck that same night to the departure location an hour away from our destination. I expressed that i would not be willing to do that. It wasnt our fault that Uhaul poorly scheduled their resources. After a few minutes of expressing my dissatisfaction, I was "allowed" to bring the truck back to Las Cruces by 8 am. Frustrated, and nearly fed up with the less than stellar experience, I bit my tongue and threw my hands up. I had no choice at this point, so I agreed to the terms. After a long, stressful day of moving, we cleaned the truck and set up beds for my family of 5 to sleep for the night. We had a late night. The next morning, my wife and I had to load up our 4 year old, 3 year old, and 3 month old into the car and Drive an hour back to arrive by 8 and not accrue the additional charges we were threatened with if we didnt make it on time. Uhaul is supposed to make moving easier, more convenient, and less stressful. We have used Uhaul trucks previously and were very satisfied with the customer service and equipment. This was not the case this time. The customer service was terrible. The associate that "helped" us was cold, unmoved, and assertively telling me what i could do or else i would be fined. When i explained the headache that we already had with the truck, she wouldn't even acknowledge me. When I dropped off the truck the next morning, the associate who helped me listened to my complaints and he/she told me that he/she wasn't surprised, and that he/she heard similar stories all too frequently. All this to say, i am incredibly dissatisfied with Uhaul. Not only were we forced to rush our move, make 3 tired and cranky kids wake up too early and get in a freezing cold car, forced to return the truck an hour away, spend double the money i should have had to for gas in the truck and the family vehicle, we were also met with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. A $200.00 day turned into a $300.00 day to cover the extra gas for both vehicles and food on the road. I pray that i dont have to move again and I can avoid the headache that is Uhaul customer service.

Made a reservation online for a 26' went to pick up and they didn't have it. Had to downsize to a 17'. They said they sent a notice but, I received nothing stating they didn't have a 26' truck available. I realized the "notice" they sent me was when one of the employees was literally calling me in the store while I was already being helped by another employee. I never received notice about the truck not being available. So I ended up having to pay $103 for a 17' because I had to make multiple trips because I didn't get the truck I reserved.

Truck smelled of cigarettes. My reservation was for a 26' truck and they weren't able to provide me with one so I had to use a 20' requiring more trips and a higher expense to me due to mileage. No offer to cover the extra expense or any kind of effort to offset the failure to provide what I reserved. I've used a lot of equipment in the last several months and this has been by far my worst experience.

Actually have the equipment that was reserved. Getting a smaller truck and a trailer did not have the same space needed as the larger truck would of provided. This kept me groin being able to move everything that I needed to put of town now requiring another trip.

I thought the building was secure and I even asked if theres a gate code for security but there was no gate so I got charged an extra $10 dollars for a code that will not prevent a break in. I was late on my payment a couple times but the calls to collect it was rude and There was no conversation on how to resolve the situation it was just about the late fees. The door to the unit i got wouldnt close right all the time.

Facility was clean and staff nice. Reps at call center said rent due date could be changed but the staff said it couldn't. Only one access card per unit. no calls back. no access pin number.
