The truck had a roof leak and after 2 days of rain items in the truck were soaking wet including a mattress. When I told the employee, he checked the truck and said he could see where it leaked. Then he charged me for 12 miles over in contract and offered NOTHING for the damage to our things. I will not be recommending UHaul or will I use them in the future. HORRIBLE customer service. Either UHaul thinks this is acceptable or they have poor training of THEIR employees. Both are UNACCEPTABLE!James C.

I rented the 26ft truck and trailer to tow my vehicle. I picked up the truck and stayed I will return for trailer so that items can be easily stored in truck. The representative stated if I do not return same day to notify store. I returned to purchase some additional moving items and informed clerk that I will return tomorrow for trailer. I received an email the next day saying my reservation was cxld. I called and the trailer luckily was still available. The trailer had one chain missing. After the scare of one chain missing they took a chain off another trailer. They stated they can not drive car onto trailer. So I drove car onto trailer and he said you will feel a bump but keep driving. The one guy asked if I got insurance. I said no, stating as long as you all put the straps down, we will be good. I get to my location and again rep said I can't take vehicle off. The rep seen my vehicle tires as he unleashed the straps. I entered vehicle and with his guidance I backed vehicle off trailer asking if I was clear he said yes. As I pulled the vehicle off my left front bumper was dismantled. I questioned the fact the two reps having me pull vehicle up and visibly seen my vehicle bumper was low and when put in reverse the bumper will be damaged. No warning from reps that guided me onto trailer nor the one rep that guided me and visible seen the bumper will be damaged once the car was backed up. Instead, neither rep warned of the damage when towing low bearing vehicles. Instead the rep asked if I had insurance. I feel both reps knew of end result. When I picked up trailer the rep asked if I had insurance. When I returned vehicle the rep seen the vehicle would incur damage when out in reversed as he removed the straps. I believe both reps knew what would happen when vehicle removed from trailer and did not warn of possibility of damage when I removed vehicke from trailer. I spoke to manger regarding training if employees can visible see that vehicle will be damaged if bumper is low. Instead, he handed me a pamphlet. I believe both reps should have warned of possibility of damage. I also believe the two reps had me drive the car further knowing the damage that would occur once removed from trailer. Instead of warning me of possibility they asked if I had insurance which I felt was odd as that was handled at time of rental. Again I believe they knew the car would be damaged when removed. My vehicle is a 2 door SLK 250 Mercedes. It is unfortunate that the employees at time of pick up and the one employee at time of removal and damage incurred failed to warn of loading and removing vehicle I am disappointed with U-Haul. The Pickup location was fine, but I noticed that my paperwork said the truck was to be returned next day, but I had reserved it for 2 days. when I brought it to the clerks attention he said it will be fine. It just says the next day because you paid for 1 day and you get 1 day free. The next day one of my drivers got a call from U-Haul talking about the truck was late. She told those helping to move and they franticly started move things from the storage to the house. I called U-Haul when I got to the house and they said sorry the system didn't update the date. Your computer system's mistake messed up my move and I really didn't appreciate it, especially when I asked about the date before leaving the pick up location. The staff was not professional like it used to be. Very rushed and not enough staff to assist customers. I had to get the heavy appliance dolly myself, take it to the truck, and lift the heavy thing in the truck myself. I am 61 years old with a back injury and should have received assistance from staff. After I returned the truck and left the store I found I was charged double the cost. I had to return to the store. She cleared it up and corrected the mistake to my account. It took me an hour and a half to get the contract signed, it wasnt the girls fault as I was told she was new. No one was assisting her. I made my reservation at the uhaul on Arden Way in Sacramento and I arrived there was told that truck I reserved was not available. I was told that someone from uhaul was supposed to have called me to inform me that I was to go the the uhaul on Florin and the truck I reserved would be there. When I got to Florin which was a 20 min drive, I was told that the truck I reserved was not available there either and I should not have been asked to got there. I had to settle on a 10 ft. truck so I could proceed with my moving plans. The lets get ride of the customer attitude and complete lack of professionalism at the uhaul on Arden was shocking. First of all the truck that we've rented had a lock on the back with no key to open it. Unfortunately I was at the doctors office and couldn't return it immediately was expecting my movers to be finished by the time I got out of my doctors office but wasn't because of the lock. Went back to get a smaller truck that had an unlocked back so we could load it got on the road three hours late hit traffic, not enjoyable the man did what he could to help out but I really believe that if you guys want to make things right refund me for a day is truly I only had it for less than 24 hours. We were broken down on the side of Hwy 160 in Sacramento. We called their location as we needed to rent equipment so we could tow our vehicle home. We called the location, and spoke to a woman on the phone. I verified that it would be okay to have our truck towed there. Upon arrival, one employee was more than helpful, but the manager on duty that day (10/23/2022) starting yelling at my husband and niece that no one asked her and if we left our vehicle there, she would have it towed away. We ended up renting a pickup truck, driving all the way back to our house to get a car trailer, 2 hour drive, and then having to return the same night to get our truck. The gentleman who handled our rental was very kind and courteous. The manager's behavior is why we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. On top of, the truck had a 1/2 tank of gas which I have the receipt. They claimed we returned it on empty which was not the case.robin V.

I made the initial appointment online, but when I went for the install I was told that they had ordered the wrong wiring harness, so I had to come in a second time to have that installed. The drop off and storage experience was excellent. Now let me give you an overview of the absolute nightmare we went through after a reserved pickup. Our vehicle wasn’t available. After 20 minutes of waiting in line I asked the clerk at the front counter to find out that most of the line wouldn’t even get a vehicle at this location. We visited 4 other locations to run into the same issue of finding out that they didn’t even have a vehicle available and could be of absolutely no help to us, despite us having a guaranteed reservation. We happened to find one location after spending hours of time, gas, and energy driving and on the phone with customer service. When the agent finally LUCKILY found a booking, which for some reason was available to same day bookings and not the hundreds of other people who were waiting in all the lineups at the store, it was still 3 hours from when we had called. Our 11AM “guaranteed” booking turned into a 4:30PM nightmare booking. We finally picked up our truck. In the sketchiest street I have ever seen in Los Angeles. We nearly missed our flight and if we hadn’t gone through the trouble of doing your company’s job of actually finding a vehicle we had RESERVED, we would have over extended our lease for the apartment we were moving out of, and completely missed our flights. I FEEL AS THOUGH HE LITERALLY HARASSED ME FOR NO APPARENT REASON WHEN ASKING ME A QUESTION AND I RESPOND HE PROCEEDED TO BE PUSHY TOWARDS ME, LEAVING ME FEELING ANGER AS THOUGH HE WAS TRYING TO PROVOKE ME TO BE HOSTILE TOWARD HIM AND I DIDN'T APPRECIATE THAT ONE BIT. On sunday, I came to open my storage for the 1st time and unfortunately it was understaffed but Victor did his very best to accommodate every customer that he can when by himself, Victor did an excellent job on providing me his assistance when I have trouble with the key card multiple times but he still assisted me when it was busy and by himself. I advise the company should at least have 2 worker on sunday so that Victor can at least a have break, poor guy was running around doing everything himself with no help. The worse weekend ever. I was there four days in a row. Friday, find out they cut my storage lock and replace it. But, when asked why, one could tell me. Saturday, wasted a lot of time because Victor doesn't know how to communicate. Ordered a Ubox and truck. But failed to tell me I had to pull my own Ubox to my storage. When specifically ask them to drop it at my storage unit 603 when I placeed my reservation. So I wasted 2 hours thinking they were going to drop it off. To find out after asking 3 times when was they going to bring it. Then I wasted another 30 minutes trying to get my U-Box. In which Victor try to charge me for the trailer that the U-box was on. After my U-Box was all filled and ready to go. Because of the 2 and half hour delay the 4 hours I rented the truck for ended up being 24 hours with miles that I didn't plan on paying for. Because we didn't finish until 6:15 p.m. Mind you all my reservations was for 12 p.m. truck was reserved from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Top it off my U-Box sat in an open space in the parking lot in front of the office for 2 days. It was supposed to be picked up and transported to Arden on Sunday the 1st. The next day. When I went back on Monday it was still there and there was no information on my U-Box being picked up at all. Call Chris Trudell with No response. After Isaiah made several calls he was able to help me and get my U-Box where it needed to go. (Arden) Honestly, If it wasn't for Isaiah I would have lost it!!
