The employees are great and helpful but the storage units are unfortunately over ran by mice. We had a box spring, mattress, and a nice, new couch get destroyed by mice feces and they tore the stuffing out of our couch for bedding. Not what I wanted to see on moving day to our brand new home. Our laundry room is now full of mouse poop and I'm praying that no mice came home with us in our brand new home. Hoping that Uhaul will reach out to me with a solution of some sort. Checked in online. Went to pick up trailer. Was directed to a large lot with many trailers. Was given an ID number to find correct trailer. Could not find. Returned to sales area. Had to stand in line again. Told clerk I could not find the trailer. She freed up and looked for herself. Couldn't find, assigned me another trailer; told me she would bring final paperwork to me. Waited and Waited. She didn't return. I drove with hitched trailer to sales . Had to wait in line again Finally was told by a second clerk they had to get the manager to fix the change of trailer. He messed around a while; told me he couldn't make the switch. He offered a larger trailer at same cost. I agreed. Went to hitch up the larger trailer and found I couldn't lift the tongue. Went all the way back to the sales office again. Had to wait in line again. Asked for help with the trailer. Eventually they sent someone to help. Took both of us to lift the tongue to my hitch ball. Finally got on my way after more than an hour wasted. Opened trailer at house where we were using it. It was very dirty inside. Had to sweep it out before we could use it. My rental was returned on time and actually before my contacted time, however I received an email asking why I had not returned my equipment a day later. As well, upon equipment being returned the gentleman said he would email my receipt to me, again it's now two days past and still no receipt. I'm not sure what the issue or confusion might be but to people like me that do not have a lot of money and a single mom so all I have matters, knowing that I'm at risk of losing money because of improper paperwork handling, it's very disheartening.MICHELLE R.

The team on Sunday was great, we had chosen to do everything online but the young lady came over to check on us. Mice were a problem. Shortly after storing there, I went back to get something out of storage and found bits of foam on the floor under our couch. Somehow the bait box was on top of some of my stored items and the bait displaced. I rearranged the couch and reset the bait and box but still had more foam bits and found mouse poop in a couple areas when moving out. HOWEVER, the staff are very friendly and helpful. This goes for the store itself and the after hours customer service folks. I can’t really blame the staff since they can only control so much of what and how other customers store their things. It‘s just frustrating that storage facilities do not provide guarantees unless you buy the insurance from them. Lastly, the UHAUL website to check out of the units was not working (kept telling me to select a unit, which I’d already done). I tried safari and chrome. I went home and tried on my computer.... same result. Eventually called customer service who said to call the store which I did the next day. As usual the folks at the store were very friendly and helpful and had me checked out of both units within minutes. Hate to give only 3 out of 5 when the staff was so great. Had reserved a covered RV parking spot for over winter storage (from Alaska on a long trip) back in August of 2019. When I got to Columbus in October to check in, I was told that the space was not available. There was broken glass in the V 103 spot when I pulled the trailer in to park for the winter months last year. I cleaned up glass with a broom and bucket I brought from my home.
