Brian MShort wait when renting and when returning. Very quickly connected and disconnected.
JOHN OManager and assistant manager needs a class on how to treat customers. Manager doesn’t listen, just talk. Can’t except responsibility for defective product. I explained to her that the mechanic stated my wiring was faulty on my vehicle is why the lights stayed on. She said the mechanic is not the manager. This was said to me after I spent $170.00 to a diagnosed. But she said she knows nothing about hitch and wiring. I had an 8:00 appointment to get the wiring replaced didn’t get it done until 10:00 am . The only person that listened and help me was this kind gentleman name Jack. We put the inside molden back together. That was left unfinished by the first mechanic that had some little kid running inside the hitch section. I just it was his son. I don’t think I’ll ever go to that U-Haul for anything. I took Lashaun to make a phone call to get things moving and they still put me on hold . Never again. And I’m still out of $170.00 for false information.

ROBERT AHuge shout out to Kayla Fraser!!! We had an issue with the lights not working on the truck we were using to pull the trailer we reserved. We came all to Virginia to haul my daughters things back to Florida. Kayla made a few phone calls and was able to rent us a 10 foot truck for the price of the trailer I had already paid for!! She took 10 tons of weight off our chests and made getting our daughters things happen!!! Thank you isn’t enough for the customer service she gave us that day!!! We appreciate you!!

I said something to the lady when I returned the equipment. She said that I had to tell her 15 minutes after renting, however I was never told that.

QUINTIN DThe location is easy to get it. I was very disappointed that a vehicle that I picked up at 7:00 a.m. had a gas level just about E. The very first thing that I had to do was go put has in the truck. Additionally, the paperwork said that the truck had a quarter tank. I called the 800 number and sent a picture. They adjusted the paperwork appropriately. Also, the keys were not in the lock box. I had to wait to speak with someone to get the keys to the truck. Just not a great experience it was just a bad start to a long day.

DAVID HBe sure to explain that your workings do not check in vehicles that are brought in 10 minutes before 8. The guy told me if it was a 10 foot truck he would but I had the truck back at 7:54pm the office closed at 8pm. I rented a 26 foot truck. Did not like how I was treated at the end.

Kyle MI'm very disappointed with my experience!!! I checked the truck out myself and once on the road I noticed a yellow light on dashboard that was alarming. it was the light that come on when there is an issue with my tires, (like low air pressure) while driving on highway 64-W the tire blew out and I almost loss control of the wheel. I was able to get to the side of the road and I called roadside assistance. My attendant asked me to step out on the busy, dangerous highway to take pictures of the defected tire although I expressed how nervous I was just sitting here because of the speeding traffic. I had to deny her requess several times. after that the tow truck driver called me to apologize because he stated he was given the wrong location. The mix up information caused me to wait on the dangerous highway for over an hour for a job that i was told wold take 30 min. once finding out about the wrong location being provided to the tow truck driver causing a major delay in getting me help I called back to voice my complaint with roadside assistance. I was told they would have a supervisor reach out to me. I still haven't heard one word from a supervisor and planned on calling back today. I decided to leave this feedback to see if anyone follows up with me or will I still need to reach out after making my matter known via this message. VERY DISAPPOINTED WTH MY UHAUL EXPERIENCE. I also was told that they would be apart of the entire experience to ensure everything went well and I was safely back on the road but that didn't happen either. after voicing my complaint and requesting a supervisor I never heard from anyone from UHAUL other than the fact that I returned the truck early on Sunday instead of Monday because the light was still on even after the tire was changed and I no longer felt safe in the truck I parked it on the lot and left the keys in the drop box.

SHELIA MThe truck I rented was not completely on full, yet the checklist stated it was. It was only about $6.00 off. But it was ok.
TONY AAt checkin trucks were backed up into traffic, which was problematic. I came and parked in a space and did the checkin through the app which seemed to make the employee very upset when I dropped the keys off. If we shouldn’t do checkin via the app we should be told upfront or disable the option. Additionally, there was almost an accident with the trucks backed up so far into traffic.

SHARON SWhere I do use other Uhaul services often, such as having trailer hitches added to my vehicles, renting trucks amd trailers. I would recommend renting a storage unit from you all as the pricing for closet size storage was extremely high in my opinion compared to other storage companies. Which is the main reason I removed my items and took them to another company.. I do believe in what I'm paying for should match and to gauge that I shop round. In saying that anytime I've had to do other types of business with youa I've had a great customer experience as the staff is always helpful, polite, and experienced. Renting trucks, trailers, placing hitches and buying boxes Ithe prices you've offered Noone usually can beat its just the storage rentals are a bit pricey for me.

DANIEL SMy only issue this time was that the trailer was very dirty; like it had been down a gravel/dirt road in the rain. Wasn’t a major problem, but could’ve been hosed off. Otherwise the service at rental checkout was great. It was busy and the young man behind the counter worked two computers at one time to get everyone taken care of, nice work man!

I ended up picking this center to rent the storage locker because it was closest to where I ended up staying. As well as the truck I was given had multiple issues with the ramp and I almost broke my foot when the ramp pulled out too far and did not have a safety precaution to prevent this. Would never recommend U-Haul again and wish I could go back in time and go with another company.

I left Detroit and U-Haul there put the wrong drop off location and the man was telling me to call or take the truck to the location listed on paperwork but i had an email from uhaul that said location I was at and spoke with phone Rep at U-Haul which reserved it. I moved from Detroit to Chesapeake, why would I want to drop off a truck in another part of Virginia??? I called the number he gave me and was on hold for awhile. The lady came and heard what was going on and called for me, got right through. If she had not helped me I would been figuring out how to drive to another part of Virginia I never heard of to drop off a truck. So I'm grateful for her help. I don't remember her name or if she was the manager but she wasn't dismissive like the first guy .

From the moment the call was answered to the time I completed my paperwork at the office the customer service has been explementary. Everything was explained to me in detail, no questions, no surprises, easy peasy. I even got a larger unit than I was looking at the competitors place at a cheaper price and better access hours bonus! U-HAUL wins my business and my recommendations, all because the competitor uses a call center and those folks do not know the policies/program, wouldn't/couldn't answer my questions and could care less about me as a customer.

The staff ( especially Krista, Summer, Autumn, & Christy are so VERY helpful & efficient, if they tell you something, you can believe them. When we have had issues with incorrect information from other Uhaul locations ( even out is state locations), we can call the Woodlake location in Chesapeake to get “ straight answers”! Those ladies are true gems!

Some of my items got wet / mold due to the unit next storage (according to office mgr. heavy rain.) My unit also had loose insulation hanging down. I needed to inspect the units (3) before renting. I was in a pickle so I rented sight unseen and didn't have the manpower to move out at the time.KS

Debbie M | Overall ExperienceAfter reserving our storage unit AND calling twice the day we were arriving once we arrived we were told there wasn't a unit available. We were told that since we didn't work directly with this facility they couldn't guarantee there would be anything available. I explained that while we didn't work directly with this facility the UHaul person that was helping us did in fact work directly with Corban at this facility when the reservation was made. After well over an hour they found a unit for us but there was no sense of urgency, there was very little communication as to what was happening. We had 3 carloads of people waiting to help us unload the truck as this was the first night of the holiday weekend and everyone had plans for the weekend but still there was no sense of urgency. In addition to that once we got the truck unloaded at pulled it out front it was 8:12 PM and the two remaining employees were getting ready to leave but because it was 12 minutes after closing they weren't interested in actually helping me get the truck checked in. They they told me if I couldn't figure it out they would check it in the next morning for a $20. fee! I did not get the vehicle checked in on line as the email I rec'd didn't have a link to do so so I took pictures of the truck, mileage and gas gauges and dropped the keys in the drop box. I was not charged the $20 fee thankfully but the entire experience once arriving at the Greenbrier facility was not good at all. Also, there was another customer there who had made a reservation and taken time off work to be at her appointment at the Greenbrier facility and she was told her reservation wasn't available either. Same story, she worked with a UHaul Rep that answered the phone for the Greenbrier facility after being on hold for 25 minutes and made her reservation for her. The employee's said that the system in place doesn't work because it doesn't accurately depict what is available it's just a guesstimate and that UHaul counts on people not showing up so they overbook. I feel like that's a terrible way to run a storage business when people are moving and counting on their reservations. I will tell you that our experience when returning our first truck and talking with Corban was extremely pleasant and informative and Corban was very attentive and helpful quite unlike the employee's when we arrived with a full 26' truck...

Called, location said computer glitch and sorry, don't worry about bill, they told me they fixed it. Now I'm still getting bills.
