I made a reservation for a van and a furniture dolly. When arrive to pick up the van the dolly wasn’t in it. So I asked for it, and I was told it was at another location down the street. I didn’t anticipate having to drive 6 minutes and 2 miles down the road. Why did I reserve it if they weren’t going to have a dolly at the location? By the time I completed the task of taking photos of the van, a feature I don’t appreciate because I should be able to upload all the photos at one time instead of individually. It’s time consuming. You are not told that it takes about five, six, or seven minutes to take all the photos and finally drive away. Time is money and my time was wasted by the lazy people at the second location. This location did not look inviting at all! It was much larger but very clustered, had zilch considerate organization, and looked like a junk yard—something out of a cheap low production value slasher film, and if being creeped out and grossed out at the same time, didn’t help, of course, there weren’t obvious, visible signs directing you. I see a massive tent and I parked under it only to wait like an idiot for no one to show up. So I drove over to what hardly looked like the storefront, parked, and went inside to grab the dolly. One guy had no idea what was going on—in life, and another employee next to him chimed in that the employee, Kayla from the first location, had called it in. Both of these employees were sitting down and moving very slowly. I felt like I was in a scene from Monsters Inc. I’m sure if they would have stood up their chairs would be stuck to their butts. I was then told to go to the green tent and the guy at the garage adjacent to it would help me. So begrudgingly, I go AGAIN under the tent and was meet with a wonderful, very invisible and silent employee. At this point, I’ve spent almost 30mins going to get a van and a dolly. I’m angry. Without even the essence of an employee around I fast-angry-walked BACK to the lackluster store and loudly said no one is there. The lady employee was already walking to the front to see that indeed there was no one there. I wasn’t able to see if the chair was attached to her, but I wondered. I then toss my hands up in the air. Ugh. Get it together U-HAUL! So I walked back to van I left under the tent and pop my head into the garage, shout out, “Hello, is anyone here?” OF COURSE, there was no one. So, as the only person working there, I said, “Eff it, I’m taking this!” I had reserved it anyway. I snatched a dolly that was leaning against the garage wall and tossed it in the back and took off arguing with them in my head. I’m telling you there was a Jerry Springer show in there. I finally arrived at my destination five minutes before they closed. When done, I gassed up and returned the van without a hitch other than taking forever to get through the picture process. Now I will definitely never go back to the second location, and although at the first location the employee gave away a reserved dolly, she was relatively pleasant, and didn’t mind standing up to help me; I remember her from a previous rental that she facilitated and she left a good impression. Again, the second location should be swallowed by a giant sinkhole. I’m thinking, “Where is a giant sinkhole when you NEED one?!”

Website didn't work for uploading photos. They claimed the mile gauge was starting at 8440 but it actually started at 8465, costing me an additional $25+ in mileage charges. Horribly tiny parking lot that does not accommodate customers. Drastically understaffed, with only one person working the counter for multiple scheduled customers. Worker seemed eager to do a good job but undertrained.

The card system was quite difficult. Sometimes, you had to swipe 7-10 times in order for the system to activate the card. Had to swipe really fast. Kinda difficult.

Can we not store the equipment dolly and the blankets in the truck? If I wanted to rent them, I would have rented them in the office. But now, since I accidentally broke the seal on the dolly, I’ve now been charged $7 for something I never used. This notion of “well you broke the seal, which means you used it” doesn’t work when the seals are flimsy and can break easily, especially when I’m putting things in the truck. And they take up room! I need every inch I can in the truck, so please please please remove the blankets and dolly from the truck.

I had time opening the door of the storage unit. The store keeper was helpful each time. Very nice. I have seen beer bottles left outside of the door of my unit by unknown people. This is an indication of intrusion of U-haul facility and potential risk for clients property !

they didn’t have the truck i reserved. it took almost an hour to get me a truck. the truck i was given wouldn’t start unless you pumped the brake and shook the steering wheel, you couldn’t see out of the right side mirror, and the alignment was so bad the steering wheel was pointing at at 10oclock when going straight.

First of all, this is the absolute worst location to have a storage facility, let alone a personal unit. My unit was broken into and vandalized after just one month of storage. I had several thousand dollars worth of stuff stolen. Broken vintage lamps and family memorabilia all damaged/stolen. The staff was not great at all. Since then they have changed managers, and I’m still not satisfied so I moved my stuff to a different location. On move out day, the manager told me everything was good to go and that we didn’t need to do anything else. However I was still charged the full amount on 5/31/24, even after cleaning out my unit. I stopped by the office yesterday and the manager assured me that I would get a refund in 3-5 business days. The refund has yet to show up on my account. I absolutely hated storing my stuff here and it’s something I regret every single day. I would not recommend this Uhaul location to ANYONE. Poor customer service, poor support , and poor care. Hate it!

I forgot a few things in the back of the uhall trying to hurry and get out of the bad weather. I called later that day when I remembered multiple times and no one answered. My fiancé went back the next day to retrieve it and put it in the storage being an authorized user. MY THINGS WERE IN THE DUMPSTER!!! And she did not give him access for about 30 mins to an hour!

No never. I am a 56 years old man and I can say with all honesty that I have never come across anyone as rude as manager Kayla who was there this morning. Everyone wants to start their day with something good, but she completely ruined my morning. Despite her inexcusably rude behavior I remained polite in the hope that perhaps she may change her attitude, but despite my attempt her behavior remained reprehensible. When I entered the building, she was seated and playing a game on her cell phone. I very nicely said, good morning ma’am she did not replied back, but just looked at me so I told her that I wanted to rent a pick up truck. She asked me for my ID which I gave it to her. After finding me in the system she asked how many miles I will be driving, for how many hours etc. She wanted to take my picture so I asked her this is something new because I have never had this experience before. Instead of explaining it to me she said that’s how we do it and gave me back my ID and said we cannot rent to me. I had to get back to my business so I politely told her ma’am I just told you that I never had this experience before but if that’s what it is, it is what it is. I gave her my ID back and said you can take my picture. When she grabbed my ID she started looking at all over it as if she’s trying to find something wrong and then told me that my ID is damaged even though there was no damage on the ID and people can verify this by looking at The copy of my ID that she made. I do not understand why she was trying to give me a hard time so I asked for the manager very politely. People can watch the video to see how I was cordial when I told her that I don’t see any damage on my ID. She starts showing me a pencil nib sized cut. I told her ma’am I’m a business owner I own hotels and we check IDs all the time this is nothing my ID is good. She said she will take it, but was just trying to bring it to my attention. After I made the payment she told me to go outside and take out the key and I’ll send you a link and follow that link. Everything was new to me and I needed a little help but instead of explaining anything to me she wouldn’t budge to assist me in anyway. She was an extremely horrible person, or perhaps hateful would be the more operative word because when I returning the vehicle, I noticed her behavior was the same with another customer. I just wanted to let you guys know that losing me as a customer may not affect you too much, but if you have employees like that, you will continue to lose more and more customers and then it will definitely affect your business. I will share my experience on different platforms because I have never felt more disrespected than the way she was treating me today.

Recheck the mileage and the gas gauge before taking any of their vehicles off the lot. I did not do that and it cost me $45.00 for miles I did not drive. This is the second time I was taken advantage of and won’t be fooled again. You need to watch out at UHaul when renting. Kayla was very nice

I had previously gone to this location a week or so back to book a truck for a couple of hours. Kayla refused to give me any of the trucks even though there were no appointments for that same day! After back and forth arguments, she refused to give me any of the trucks and I left For this booking I had an online booking done and she cancelled my reservation without asking me and made a reservation for me in Carrolton again based on our previous interaction. I asked to speak to the supervisor and initially she refused to call him as well. I called customer service to connect me to this location’s supervisor. When the supervisor (Gayle) answered, he refused to hear my side of the story and sided with this lady and told me to leave the location or else he would call the police for trespassing. Important to mention that I had an online reservation! And he placed me on the cautionary list! As i was leaving again, I received a call from this location to come back inside and take the truck which i had booked. Kayla had no remorse for her behavior and to top it off left the keys outside for me to pickup. I have never seen bad customer service supported by a business like this ever. I work with U haul very often but safe to say i will not be going to this location. Everyone should go to the one on Northwest Hwy. The people over there are friendly and my man Andre always makes sure I get the best service everytime If my behavior needs any verification you can ask the people at Northwest Hwy with whom i work multiple times a month. Andre and team will definitely tell you a different story than Kayla would.

I was overcharged $35. $15 for coverage I DECLINED, and $20 for dropping the vehicle off "after hours?" You get 24hrs of rental, and I returned it in 5hrs. I get charged $20 because I didn't hold onto it overnight?! OBSURD! It was also not stated anywhere. MORE than doubled my charge for this quick rental... Should have just rented the truck from Home Depot....

Don’t let the location of this Uhaul storage fool you with, it’s Harry Hines address. It’s a safe and convenient place to use for storage. It’s a small facility and easy to navigate without a lot of in and out traffic from other customers. My only issue is with the rate increases during my time there from the promotional price to my final move out rate, I thought the increases were excessive. Although it was still cheaper than other storage facilities for the size I was renting.

I went there around 8:30 pm to drop off my stuff, but the exit road was blocked by a truck. I wasn’t able to reverse my U-Haul trailer attached car and spent 3 hours to exit the storage area. The storage unit was not reachable by car as I was told. Additionally, two dogs attacked me when I was trying to find the storage unit. I believe people live in those storage units with their dogs, but no one mentioned that to me. It was a horrible experience.

Older facility, but still maintained. I would have given 5 stars, but the following factors dropped it down to 4 stars: 1. General Manager, Jesse, wasn't in uniform, regardless it being a Sunday. 2. Showroom was way too cluttered, felt claustrophobic. 3. Bathroom had NO toilet paper at all and the trash was overflowing.

I dropped off the vehicle on Saturday evening, scanned the bar code and everything and for some reason, the truck was never checked in until Wednesday. I was very concerned that I would be on the hook for a truck. However it turned out that someone moved the truck from where I parked it and forgot to close out the vehicle and check it in. WHEW!!! I finally called the location and the gentleman I talked to immediately handled everything for me. Thank you to him!

I didn't move out on the date you have on this mailing. I moved out 2-27-2023. The unit I rented didn't have a light. The excuse for the light not working was that there was a fire that burned the building and u-haul was too cheap to fix it. The overhead was hard to open and close and would stick sometimes. I was told that's nothing wrong with it. What a dump.

Management don’t open building on time . When management did make it there he have weed round up smoking it as he pulls up to work . I moved my belongings in Uhaul’s storage facility, less than 2 weeks later my storage unit was broken into. To me it looked like a inside job because when I asked for the cameras to be played back somehow they can’t tell who’s coming out with my belongings. Somehow my storage unit was the only one singled out. As i go to file the claim for my storage unit, they put the wrong insurance, making me liable for my belongings when I know I put insurance on unit mainly because the first month came with the one way uhaul rental. I’ve lost a lot of valuables that I can’t get back, mostly my business equipment is gone , I’m not too concerned about the tvs but I want the things people donated to me to get my business back going. I can’t operate properly without all my equipment. They did compensate me for my storage unit for the month but that doesn’t replace my things that they’re not wanting to liable for especially when every other time the main door to my unit was always unlocked. I spend a lot of money with uhaul and for them to be at fault and making me figure it out myself is unacceptable.

There was nobody available onsite for storage rental. I was directed by a sign on the door to go down the street to another facility for rental. It took two trips to the other facility for them to get the access code correct, and when I entered the facility the heat was unbearable. Both phone conversations with the facility manager seemed a bit tense and she seemed bothered with my call. As I was leaving the facility another customer who rented the day before could not get into the facility with his gate card or code. I decided at that point to go to Public Storage and rented one of their climate controlled units for the same price!

This has been the worst experience EVER! From the the minute I was in the office. All Meghan cared about was telling me all the wrong things I can do to have my “privileges” revoked! There was probably one smile I seen from her and I believe it’s when she laughed at her own joke. The storage facility is out dated and U-haul Co itself should be ashamed of it. It’s like you are storing your items in a barn! The doors are just like a house door and so trying to get big items into the unit is nearly impossible. When I asked for a larger unit, before I could even get those words out of my mouth she snapped at me and said NO! And I don’t know it was the look I gave her or what, then she quickly tried to see what other units where available at a facility down the road. I will NEVER rent from U-haul again! Lastly, less than 24 hours from moving in, her faculty is closed. I was not able to access the gate to get in due to the cards not reading, so the alternative is a access code. Which I was never given. I went to a U-haul location down the road for help. The lady there could not understand why I wasn’t given a access code because they give their customers access codes. Customer service was called and a gentleman said he could see my access code however was not allowed to give it out over the phone. Meanwhile there was an older lady working and knew how to get a hold oh Meghan directly where Meghan informed her that she doesn’t give her customers the access code that the only option is to use the card. And that I needed to go back down there and keep trying or wait until Monday when she is reopened. I am beyond upset and the way management has handled this situation is surely not the U-haul way!

The staff is very friendly. This storage facility is in a bad area which we didn't know ahead of time moving across the country. We were told by the staff they have to close early since the 'area is very active and not a good place to be at night. The storage shed itself had holes in the wall and had run-down doors. The actual rope is like splinters. I had to pull it down with a towel. They have rodent deterrents in the sheds themselves which leads me to believe they have a problem. We also experienced an issue with nails all over the group. I picked up a full handful, and then the staff came out to help me. Luckily I only needed the shed for 1 week.

The Manager needs a real attitude adjustment. She could not have been any less helpful. Her car was parked in the way, she had a horrible disposition, and was rude. The three movers could not believe how awful she was. I will never lease from this location again.

While the over facility was secure and well kept many of the units had doors that were old and did not keep the elements out. Ours wasdamaged and would not close properly. We were concerned.
