I think if a customer coming back before rental time charges should be revised and discounted to actual rental time. I mean you have the checkin time and return time why not reimburse the customer for bringing back your equipment in more than timely manner. Example I went over in expect miles and was charged but came back in 4 hrs instead of scheduled 8 hrs why not give a rebate for my speedy return? I thought the allotted miles were about 87 or so. I was told they would give me an extra 30 for free just in case, since I needed to take the truck back to my apartment, to canton, and then to the drop off location. In the end I had to pay extra because the original miles were only 50 something (it's 70 miles to canton!!) and the â€œfree 30 milesâ€. It ended up not being enough...ABBY G.

The manager at this location does not know how to deal with people. She called me at 8:23am screaming at me about a reservation she needs to fill with a truck that I rented. So she claims I cannot change the contract period. I must obey and return the rental ASAP or I go to jail. The manager of this location just left a new hire by himself which he/she went off to a meeting. When we arrived to drop off the UHaul, the new hire was unsure how to give us a refund for a utility dolly so we had to stick around for a while waiting for his manager to respond. The manager never responded so we left not receiving the refund and just having to trust that the new hire and manager would process the refund later. Felt bad for the new hire because it wasn't his fault that his manager just left him out to dry without knowing what to do in unique situations like ours.Paul E.

The online rental process was not smooth. I did all of pre-rental questions before arriving but still ran into a 20 minute delay after arriving and being asked to submit headshot and license. The complete verification process should be done online prior to arrival. It was extremely inconvenient to be standing outside in 95 degree weather trying to get verified after having spent time doing it online.Deanna K.

The truck was due to be dropped off at 1:00 pm. I arrived at 12:58. The door was locked. The CLOSED sign said someone would be back by 12:40. I was there until roughly 1:25 and no one showed up. I was not familiar with the key drop off and online verification. As a result, though I was there before 1:00 pm and no employee was available, I was charged a one day late fee. I've rented from alot of different places and my one pet peeve is that the gas tank is no full when picking up the truck.IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE FULL! this way the customer never has to think how much gas do i need to put inMarc K.
The question should be, â€œwould you recommend U-Haul to a friendâ€, and the answer is no. I will not use U-Haul again. They need to hire more humans to be available at the locations for customer service/assistance. Customers must check out, do walk around w app photos, check-in vehicles, take multiple photos of the mileage, fuel level, exterior, interior, etc. Uhaul rental has NO significant LIVE customer service, therefor no difference w bandago.com, Turo.com, Hyer.com, goshare.com. etc. Uhaul has pushed all their service off on the client, and is no more than a self-serve rental co w weak tech support. I would pay more for customer service vs self service. Bye.David R.
