Clean and efficient - they seem to always have plenty of units on site as well as an ample inventory of various supply items. This is one of the better ones I've found (and I've used a lot of them).

Only two drawbacks: I reserved an appliance dolly and all that was available was a utility dolly when I picked up. “People don’t bring them back on time,” I was told. Second: The exterior frame above the windshield of this old truck was so rusted that when I first pulled out, water streamed in onto the dashboard and my lap. Prices and policies were just as advertised and the employees were helpful and courteous.

STEVEN CThe equipment was not safe in terms of safety, and one of the ropes was cut and short. I noticed this when I arrived at the city I was heading to, 5 hours away. If I were in charge, I would change the entire staff before a disaster occurs and you spend millions.

RAMON FI was assisted by the Broad St office with both professional and great customer service with the associate reserving a truck for me at the Hixson store. Once arriving at the Hixson location, the rep there expressed he had no rentals available and offered me a van (which was requested in the reservation), but informed me that I would only have the reservation for an hour. If the van wasn’t returned by 4 PM, I would have to pay for the 4 PM reservation. I was picking up items that had to be done, and had no choice but to attempt to comply. I eventually called the Broad St branch, and was informed the trucks in Hixson were not fully booked and had my reservation time extended to 7 PM. I returned the truck at 4:15 PM, but attempted to call the Hixson store at 3:50 PM, only to be on hold until I arrived at 4:15 PM, to inform them I would be somewhat late returning the van. The agent I spoke with wasn’t there, but I felt lied to as there were trucks and vans still in the parking lot, and no one was on the phone in the office while I was still on hold. I would like to speak with corporate about this experience as I have rented for several years from UHaul and never experienced this before.

COOPER AI went to the store to find out why I hadn't heard anything about the hitch for my car. Well, apparently the parts came but the computer system forgot to tell anyone that those were for me. Fortunately for me, the woman who does these installations had a no-show so she could do the install immediately. Hooray!! According to her, this happened to someone else last week. She blamed computer crashes. In fact, their system was down for over an hour while I was there. The staff got calls and people dropping by wanting to be customers. However, with the computer down, they couldn't do anything but ask for their name and number and they would call back when the system starts up again. Not very appealing to wannabe customers. Dumb. FIX THAT COMPUTER SYSTEM!!! The staff, especially the gal that worked on my car, were very good to me. Helpful and professional. Thank you. You get 5 stars.

The storage space rented was extremely small and I had to wait to get my unit opened while I was on a short schedule with the moving truck. The lines were out the door each time I went and the staff was visible stressed but friendly.

The UHAul in Fayetteville NC 702-523-4706 confirm that they had a storage unit for me. When I get into town the Broad Street location in Chattanooga, Tennessee told me that they didn’t have anything for me, that they haven’t had any available storage for several months and told me that I needed to look for something else. They told me to call the Hixson location. The Broad Street location was very convenient for me because I was moving off of Broad Street and the Hixson location was way out of my way. The Hixson location was very nice and took care of me.

You are able to collect double rent if someone rents the units I rented, I believe you should reconsider and change your policy and allow partial month rent. The same thing happened with two units in a U-Haul facility in Knoxville, TN.

The person living in storage burglarized multiple units (including mine) by climbing over the wall on the top floor. She stole every tool I owned, which took years to acquire. The employees denied any wrong doing when the police became involved.

The training level of the staff is inconsistent. My most recent interaction in Chattanooga on Hixon Pike I met Anthony. I must say at this location he is the only one with sufficient knowledge to get you in and out but has absolutely no customer service skills. It appears that his dog died many years ago and he’s never gotten over it.

Amanda G | Overall ExperienceMy experience was frustrating as I made a reservation a couple weeks prior to moving but then, on moving day, after driving 10.5 hours from D.C., when I called to confirm the reservation I was told there was no space available. I went to other U Haul locations around Chattanooga to try and find storage but all were full. I ended up going to this location to see if something could be worked out. Upon arrival, I spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to show up at the desk and when they did they had headphones on, spoke shortly to me, and gave an overall rude reception. I explained the situation and they repeated the same story I heard on the phone. I insisted that there must be some space because another U Haul location (Broad Street) had reported that this location (Hixon) was only at 90% capacity. The individual then had us walk through the entire first floor of the storage facility where there were, indeed, available storage units. I guess they had just been unwilling to get up and look themselves before. Despite the situation being "technically" resolved, I was very disappointed in the lack of customer care and professionalism that was demonstrated and unfortunately, my perception of U Haul has diminished after this experience.

I said wow i didnt get any kinda notice or warning. And also, with the shortage of trucks on the weekend, i couldnt get a reservation until 5:15pm and i had to move a little the same day and the rest the next day. All of this occured because of the facility closing at 7th. When asked why the facility changed hours, they're only response was because people dont know how to act. Didnt really understand that but i dont feel i should've had to suffer because of someone's urge to break the law.

Not to big of a deal because the Chattanooga location is amazing and always helpful! The drop off for our truck was in Athens Ga and that was terrible. The curly headed girl behind the counter had no clue what was going on. She told us to park the truck under the green tent and give her the keys. I asked several time if that’s all that needed to be done she said yes. We dropped of the truck on Sunday at 4:45. A day early. I was called literally 5 times since Monday people asking where the truck was. I explained that we dropped it off Sunday and everything, my husband also had a conversation with someone as well. I will never use the U-Haul in Athens again. They have no clue what they are doing.
