matt l | Overall ExperienceThis was the worst uhaul experience I've ever had. I will never rent from this location ever again. Nor will I recommend anyone. The trucks are not maintained and run horribly. The first truck I left in had a check brakes system warning. So i drove it back. Then one of the employees drives it to the front maybe 10 ft and popped his head in to let me know he wasnt getting the same code. That it was running just fine. How would he know by driving it 10 ft? By the time i was in a new truck and leaving he had yet to return from his "test drive". Then the second truck was empty. Yet they claimed it had a quater tank. I was close to two hours after my scheduled time of return and they were already calling asking where i was. Im sorry but i would have been on time how do I not had to stop to put gas in the truck before even starting my move not to mention that was my second truck. Ive never had an experience at any other Uhaul. Go to Bell Rd and 19th Ave. they at least keep up with the maintenance and never inconvenience their customers.

And I feel like if I had asked for tips or assistance about functions of the trailer he would have made it seem like the end of the world. They seemed to lack any real semblance of providing customer service, they did the job, but seemed to not care for any moment of it.

CELESTINO RYour software is TERRIBLE. It locked up 3 times on the scanning of my drivers license. It is VERY frustrating and puts your employees is a bad position to cover for you company. Change it IMMEDIATELY.

JOHN WHonestly, it was only for a short time. I wanted to store my things there and the place is too expensive for the units that they had and when you miss a payment, they start blowing up your phone and calling everybody on the list that you have listed for phone numbers texting them and overall just being obnoxious. I want to store my items, not be harassed. Also, the day when I moved out, there was a gentleman who wanted to try and argue with me over everything that I was told over the phone and was extremely rude. I think his name was Patrick and I’m not sure if he was supposed to be at that store or not But it doesn’t matter if somebody’s moving out or not. The attitude is uncalled for. Tbh 12/10 I wouldn’t recommend.

Lillie W | Overall ExperienceI called in to inquire about a storage rental. I had read on the website I can attach a storage to a priviously rented truck and get 1 month free. The 1st sales agent wasn't sure how I can do that so she reached out for help. She then came back and let me know to get a 1 month free of storage I would have to attach the unit to a new contract. I let her know the storage would be under my husband name since he was the one who rented to truck prior and this will creat a new contract. She got all my information and started having trouble and so she asked if she can put me on hold to get help with something on her end. When the agent returned I can tell she had a SME/LEAD on the line assisting her. I was able to hear the other agent answer my questions and then hear the agent on the line helping me give me the same answer. I'm very familiar with this as I too train agent in call center positions so I was not worried. I was actually happy she was getting the help she needed to help me. We got to the very end and my husband calls and it's perfect because the agent stated she had sent a text and email to him since his name is the name on the unit. So I asked if I can place her on hold and merge the call with my husband so he can also be on the same page. She gave the ok and I crossed over to the otherwise to brief my husband on what was going on. I realized my husband forwarded over the text and email before he called so I picked his call I then go to check my text and see the link to the reservation. As I click on the link I realize it says due today $97 something. So I told my hubby it was wrong and as I was going to merge the calls the agent disconnected the call. No call back. No nothing. Well I call back and speak to someone who tells me she can't help me but she can get me over to a supervisor in customer service who can assist me better. I then get Jessica. The who I explain what happened and she begins by telling me in town don't get a free store and that offer is only for one way rentals. We'll I let her know that the sales agent promised that the storage would have a mknth free and she never mentioned that the rental we had privioisly was or wasnt in town or not. The sales agent and SME both confirmed my reservation for the unit would include a month free and sent a confirmation text and email then hung up. Jessica the so called supervisor said in order to resolve the issue she would have to listen to the call and it was not something she could do because her shift was ending. She refused to help me and I had a truck full of belongings in a truck that I had to return that night. So not only did I not have a storage unit but I would have to keep the truck another night and pay. Jessica did not want to help me at all. She refused to listen to call even after she found it and said it was 35 mins long. So there she was confirming she had found the call but due to her shift ending she would not be able to provide remide or a solution to what was happening to me. She team tried to pass the issue over to someone she called Suzan and again told me Suzan may not even be able to listen to the call that night but maybe. I did not feel comfortable or confident in Jessica or Suzan and requested to speak to someone else who can help. Jessica again refused to help me and told me I couldn't speak to anyone higher then her. I repeated that I was asking ti speak to someone else as a trainner for a corp company I know she may not even be a supervisor at all but she's definitely not the only one in her position supervisor or not. She continued to refused forcing me to hang up and call again I immediately requested a supervisor in the customer service dept. And I got Amanda. Amanda just listened and while listening started executing a resolution. She honestly let me get it all out and when I was done she immediately mad me feel like she actually listed to the whole thing while simultaneously working on a resolution. Amanda could not do anything for me that night Just like the others BUT what she did do is provide me with a remedy for a resolution. She let me know that she would leave notes for the store supervisor in regards to the complaint and what was promised to me. She let me know it would ultimately be the supervisors final decision but that she was hopeful the notes can help. I let her know that Roger from the 26th Ave uhal in phoenix is really amazing. I went into the store today and he took care of everything for me. He did have to let me know I made a big booboo on the truck rental and new girl, IM SO SORRY I wasn't really sure and honestly I hope you didn't get into much trouble but you helped me so much and you were so nice! I'm sorry I got you trouble. Thank you so much. It was a bit rough but you guys really helped me out. And I so truly appreciate it that.

That was so inconvenient esp. in the middle of the move and given that it was so hot outside. Secondly, you need to buy a lock and key (that you do not need) from uhaul. Uhaul should provide these or have a code to enter for the storage room - in that way it will be secure as well.

No one return my call from the site to verify that I in fact moved out weeks prior. I have additional uhaul storage units in multiple states that I will now looking into closing and moving somewhere else, uhaul just lost my business. All it would have taken was a phone call and verification from Alex the uhaul employee that checked me out of that storage unit!

Michael D | Online Move InI’ve used U-Haul storage last 3 years; I looked for another storage being I felt, the yearly price hikes were high. I started out less than 100.00 now in 3 years 128.00. Upon checking out a young man was working. I went inside because my card wouldn’t work. There was a line. When I finally got waited on I asked young man, looks like you need help. He said “no, not really I can do it”. I was given a new card. Male said my card was old one. I was never issued a new one? I could not locate my ball so I needed to buy one. I went back inside, another line I had to wait to buy a ball. Young man had to go help someone with a trailer rental. It took me standing in line over 10 minutes just to buy a ball. In my opinion, male could not handle. I believe there should be someone inside store at all times. Finally a few minutes after 10:00, an older woman came in to work. It was after 10:00 and woman still needed to go back to her car to get a bag of what she needed for day, I assume I saw lunch items. She made comment on being busy; male then said, “doesn’t matter to me, I get paid by the hour “. Wow how inconsiderate for those of us who had other things to do. I spent over 20 minutes just in line, to get a new issued card then make a purchase. Woman just coming in was very nice and friendly, by this time I just wanted to get out and complete my mission. I had to go back inside to advise my unit was vacant and clean. Another line! After waiting a while, I walked up to female, handed her my card with unit number on it, advised unit was clean and ready for new tenant. The pros: alarmed units, coded access entry to the building, carts!, an area where someone else’s trash could become your treasure or vice versa, very friendly/helpful staff (so friendly, in fact, that I felt bad to move out!), climate controlled and indoor options, proactive pest control, free (used) cardboard, a drive up loading dock so you don’t have to lift heavy things into or out of a truck, regular car parking spots, etc. Just a few cons: out of my price range (I only stayed a month), no dumpster for customer use, no trash cans inside. Those are the only things I’d change!

Then have to walk down a pitch black hallway to make the lights go back on. Rinse & repeat. Also, checkout process. Followed website directions, took pictures of unit and waited 48 hours. Still pending... Tried calling -- phone number goes to national number, and they would send a message to call back. Never did. Drove back to unit at end of day, waited in line and asked if there was a problem with moving out? They said uhh ohh, let me go look at unit. They did, and finally "moved-out" without issue. Why it took physically driving down there to make it happen, when it could have been done all online is beyond me? If moving out requires you to be there, make it step 1 on the web. Other than that, facilities were clean, albeit, no garbage cans... Why no garbage cans?

The other was Tiffany who showed me to the storage locker was fantastic!! I can tell she enjoys her job and she was very helpful. She is a great employee and really highlighted my experience. As for the facility a have two comments. One, there were no garbage cans that I could find to discard trash. Secondly, I need help removing a larger item from my trailer and requested some help to which I was told “ Because of company liability reasons we cannot touch customers items“. As a company I get it, but where does customer service begin and liability ends. My suggestion would be to have a waiver for customers to sign that may need assistance if they’re loading and unloading by themselves.
