I picked up the rental with less than 1/4 of a tank. I also requested a 15' truck during my original reservation. The smaller truck was unavailable so I was given the larger 26' truck instead. I filled the larger tank with enough fuel to cover my trip and then a little extra to be on safe side since the gauge within the truck was inaccurate. The mileage remaining dropped from 198 to 177 simply by turning the vehicle on and off. After I made my trip and needed to drop off the vehicle, I was notified that I would not be reimbursed for any remaining fuel I left in the tank during my reservation. How is it that I can be given a $19.60 credit for picking up a truck with less than a certain amount of fuel but I'm not reimbursed for bringing the truck back with much more than what I picked it up at? With gas well over $5/gal in most places, this is ridiculous. Someone at Uhaul should be able to credit me for the extra $75 worth of fuel after I turned in my vehicle. If given the chance to do this over, I'd probably choose a penske truck.Hunter D.

I received a 15-foot uhaul covered truck. After loading things in the truck, it began to rain. There were LEAKS EVERYWHERE. not just a few drips that can be covered with a tarp- it was a steady stream of water in 4 locations, covering all of my furniture in water. When we took videos of the damage and tried to exchange the truck with uhaul, we were charged for another truck stating that there were signs in the trucks that say â€œwater resistant, not waterproofâ€. I completely understand a little water getting in there. But when there are PUDDLES, and huge STREAMS of water leaking everywhere, that's unacceptable. We were charged for both trucks. I am extremely upset that the manager charged us for both and is not making an effort to help us. The staff were sympathetic however they were unable to do anything without the manager. I cannot believe we were charged for both trucks. We have been trying to talk to the manager or corporate and cannot get in touch with anyone. Will not use in the future.LeighAnne N.

The drop off point was great and convenient to our location. It had adequate lighting and felt safe to drop off at night. However, I was not sure where I should've dropped off the vehicle since the establishment was closed when I dropped it off. I didn't want to block any vehicles, trailers, or storage entrances so I dropped it off the best way I could without blocking too much. We had issues getting my vehicle on the vehicle transporter. The frame of my vehicle was getting caught on the inside of the transporter. The employee instructions caused my vehicle to get temporarily stuck and the employee and my father had to manually force the vehicle off the transporter. The manager was excellent however the unit I originally reserved was not available when I got there to sign and pay. Thankfully the manager had another unit available to suit my needs. I would highly recommend the manager for promptly making it right. I seems there is a communication disconnect between physical U-Haul storage facilities and the online service. The online service just lets people reserve units that are not physically available. U-Haul should talk to the physical store before allowing reservations. This very well could have become a very bad review because I drove an hour and a half to get there after I spoke to the U-Haul customer support center that confirmed everything was good to go. Thank goodness that the manager there was able to get me into a unit regardless. Some people may not be so lucky in the future. U-Haul should communicate with the facility manager to confirm the number of units available for reservations before letting customers book a reservation. I gave 4 stars because I didn’t have to go find another place to bring my truck load of stuff. The staff at the facility deserves 5 STARS! The online customer support deserves 2 STARS for not actually confirming my reservations with the facility staff when I asked for a confirmation before making the trip and told me the unit was available. If I had gotten there with all my things and the manager couldn’t rectify the problem I most probably would have never done business with U-Haul again because of the false confirmation I received from the support center.Jake M. | First Impressions
