Ordered a dolly there were no dolly’s . They wanted more money on the return when i didnt use a whole gallon of gas in the U-Haul . . It was just a bad experience getting the U-Haul also . There was only one person working and everything had to be done myself when i got there because she seemed overwhelmed and on the return the man kept saying u have to pay this or pay that and i was totally confused because i didn’t even get nothing i requested with the U-Haul

The phone rep made it so easy and quick to look up a location for availability and reserve a truck. The clerk that processed me out Lamar Avenue location was nice, friendly, attentive, and thorough. The gentleman that received the van on my return handle the return process quickly. I've never had a bad experience with uhaul but this was the best experience so far. Thanks!!

Absolutely wonderful! Moving is stressful and time consuming, and sometimes timing isn’t as perfect as you need it to be. However, this location was kind enough to extend my rental hassle free allowing me to complete my move and was easy to work with and very friendly annamay , and the guys checking you in or the best. I highly recommend this location.

I experienced extremely poor service during the pickup process and was forcibly provided with faulty equipment that should have been inspected and repaired prior to the customer's arrival at the store. At the time of pickup, I was offered an alternative option, and I explicitly requested to be given operational equipment instead of the defective item. Additionally, I expressed my willingness to pay any price difference, provided I received functional alternative equipment. Despite my preference not to accept the faulty equipment, they insisted on it, and it was subsequently processed through my contract. The equipment failed three consecutive times, transforming a 10-hour drive into a 48-hour ordeal, owing to the prolonged response times of roadside assistance and the apparent ineffectiveness of the technicians, as the same issues persisted despite multiple repairs. Racist staff and a bad pick-up experience!

I have never had so much problems with uhaul as I did this last time. It was a total mess four places to get a truck..got to a price. Paid more paid with cash so then a deposit was needed. Drop off place was never open to get my refund. Took part of deposit for whatever saying gas short or miles I don't know. Tried three times to get refund. Still two weeks and still now deposit yet.

Upon returning truck, the associate on duty met me smelling like marijuana. The total went from $66 ( on line) to $174.00 at pick up. The associate gave a map of the units, along with the location of unit. I ended up walking around trying to locate the unit because it was not where we were directed to go. I was denied access while storing my belongings and wasn't aware I needed a swipe card to access gate entry because the associate didn't offer. I was unaware of an additional $100 added to my monthly storage unit fee, for leaving un wanted items by the dumpster bin located on the property. The associate stated "that's a construction bin" ,there was no construction going on at the time.The bin was already full to capacity with trash, other items as well as two pieces of furniture (mattress and 6 drawer dresser). After being told if she has to dispose of the item that was left, it would be an extra $100 added to my monthly storage fee. I think the company as a whole should better explain what to expect when doing business at this location. I have used Uhaul before was never made to pay for insurance or my personal insurance company being contacted to verify coverage. The associate made it seem like I couldn't rent the truck without purchasing insurance. If these above issues are policies of Uhaul as whole, it should be clear on website.

I received a confirmation call for the rental the evening before pick up. When I arrive I am told there is no trailer available, that it was over-booked. the lady says she will call traffic. she hangs up and says its probably better for me to call since its probably an hour wait time. I call and then received a call back 45 minutes later. After a 45 minutes on the phone I finally was told there is a trailer available but it has to be back by 2pm. I get to the Lamar location and get to wait another 45 minutes as there is only one person at the counter. It's a good thing Uhaul does not have competition otherwise you'd likely be out of business.

Tried to drop off 5 minutes after they closed using the app. Was told they couldn’t accept 24x7 at this location because the the trailer would be stolen or there would be a dead body in it in the morning and I’d be responsible. Told to call and change the drop location but couldn’t because they were also closed. So much for your false advertising about 24x7 drop off! Ended up having to pay for storage an additional night! Thanks U-Haul for not honoring your commitment!

I had a problem with there billing. I believe someone was pocket the money. My granddaughter paid for a couple of months. I got the bill saying I owed for June. I went and paid June 104. 00 dollars. I said write on my receipt when next month is due 7-24-2023. The next week I got another bill for June for 104.00 saying I will be locked out of my unit unless the bill is paid. So we moved it out. The original storage was reserved for the Mendenhall location. I pick the truck up and they say they don’t have a storage available. So I ask the worker if she can call another store. She did and Lamar had 1 climate control available. I go to Lamar and the unit smells like mildew from the rat poison materials they put down. I had to take any items that were clothing, cloth and mattresses to place in a friend’s garage in fear that they would be damaged beyond repair. This is totally frustrating as it was a Sunday and close to closing time. They need to maintain their units wit an odorless product. My movers were having reactions from being in the unit any length of time.

The security gate was broken and from what I am told has been for awhile. I never saw rodents but the rat trap and piles of rat poop make it clear they have a problem.

I had trouble with the rental truck starting and worker was there within 10 minutes and had it running immediately, and explained the issue and what to do if it happened again. Very patient and informative.

The place has a lot of trash lying around and the lot is so full you can’t navigate the trucks into storage area to unload without assistance (moving stuff around to make way). They DID assist us for which we were thankful, it’s just the place was disorganized and quite a mess.

Storage place is awful anybody can go in, unit was to small, very inconvenient, to much money, they changed my storage place at the last minute from union to Lamar didn't upgrade my unit when I change
