The web site said the location was open until 7:00 PM. I arrived at 6:30 and the gate was locked. We made contact with a young man in the lot who was rude and unhelpful telling me that the last drop off was at 6:30, not 7:00 PM. I attempted to explain to the young man that the web site says 7:00 PM and that I had just driven all day and then unloaded the truck and would really appreciate being able to drop the truck off, but he refused to listen. He told me to bad and I had to come back in the morning. I asked if anyone else was inside the business and he said the Manager was inside, but he would tell me the same thing, and he kept calling me “G”, which I assume is a slang term. I went inside and spoke with the manager who was very helpful and had no issue with me returning the truck. He took the key and I received my electronic receipt a few minutes later. The lack of customer service from the support staff was very disappointing.

For the first 2 months of using storage, the card reader on the side of my unit did not work. I had to go to the opposite side and all everything in the long way. When the holidays came and the office closed, the whole compound was locked so I was not able to access my unit on the holidays. The unit, itself, was very dusty. Any time I got items out of my unit, I usually had to spend a good bit of time knocking the dust off. The staff was helpful and friendly. The service was okay. Not great, but not terrible.

The location was fine and the lady at the front was super helpful, but I should get a refund for that trailer I rented because it was totally unsafe to drive and I had to have it unloaded 30 mins outside of Memphis because of how dangerous it was to tow and how bad the fish tailing was because of the LF shifted axle. Had to pay other movers just to move what was in the trailer. Do not rent this unit out to anyone else.

Very dissapointed was forced to buy a 4 to 7 pin adapter. 4 pins haven’t been on trucks in over a decade. Trailer should come with everything needed for a modern vehicle. 17 dollars is a rip off when they are 4 dollars at Walmart.

Upon returning truck, the associate on duty met me smelling like marijuana. The total went from $66 ( on line) to $174.00 at pick up. The associate gave a map of the units, along with the location of unit. I ended up walking around trying to locate the unit because it was not where we were directed to go. I was denied access while storing my belongings and wasn't aware I needed a swipe card to access gate entry because the associate didn't offer. I was unaware of an additional $100 added to my monthly storage unit fee, for leaving un wanted items by the dumpster bin located on the property. The associate stated "that's a construction bin" ,there was no construction going on at the time.The bin was already full to capacity with trash, other items as well as two pieces of furniture (mattress and 6 drawer dresser). After being told if she has to dispose of the item that was left, it would be an extra $100 added to my monthly storage fee. I think the company as a whole should better explain what to expect when doing business at this location. I have used Uhaul before was never made to pay for insurance or my personal insurance company being contacted to verify coverage. The associate made it seem like I couldn't rent the truck without purchasing insurance. If these above issues are policies of Uhaul as whole, it should be clear on website.

I had a problem with there billing. I believe someone was pocket the money. My granddaughter paid for a couple of months. I got the bill saying I owed for June. I went and paid June 104. 00 dollars. I said write on my receipt when next month is due 7-24-2023. The next week I got another bill for June for 104.00 saying I will be locked out of my unit unless the bill is paid. So we moved it out. The original storage was reserved for the Mendenhall location. I pick the truck up and they say they don’t have a storage available. So I ask the worker if she can call another store. She did and Lamar had 1 climate control available. I go to Lamar and the unit smells like mildew from the rat poison materials they put down. I had to take any items that were clothing, cloth and mattresses to place in a friend’s garage in fear that they would be damaged beyond repair. This is totally frustrating as it was a Sunday and close to closing time. They need to maintain their units wit an odorless product. My movers were having reactions from being in the unit any length of time.

I didn’t no the Storage was upstairs,,and the Unit is to hot ,,for people to have to carry there Furniture back & forth up them stairs 🙏🏾 That don’t no one pass out,,that so unprofessional to me,,it need to be a better way,,

The security gate was broken and from what I am told has been for awhile. I never saw rodents but the rat trap and piles of rat poop make it clear they have a problem.

The place has a lot of trash lying around and the lot is so full you can’t navigate the trucks into storage area to unload without assistance (moving stuff around to make way). They DID assist us for which we were thankful, it’s just the place was disorganized and quite a mess.

Storage place is awful anybody can go in, unit was to small, very inconvenient, to much money, they changed my storage place at the last minute from union to Lamar didn't upgrade my unit when I change
