I reserved a 20 feet truck on Monday for Friday at the Alexandria location. I received a call on Thursday to confirm my rental and I was also informed at that time there were no rentals available for the size I requested only a 15. The service rep did try to locate a rental bigger than a 15 but there were none available close within the area at that moment. I did receive a call back saying they had a 26 about 20 miles from location, I accepted that rental. I also requested a utility dolly sales rep said no problem. Morning of pickup the other location informed me I had to drive the uhaul back to their location could not drop it off at the home location as it would have costed me double to just drop it off right here. The guy also informed me he didn't have a utility dolly he didn't have any type of equipment there he was just a shed or whatever. I can't understand why you would rent a 26 truck with out any moving equipment such as a dolly. I don't understand why online confirmed my rental at the Alexandria, la location for a 20 truck if they didn't have it and why wait until the day before to call. This was a huge inconvenience. Not to mention had to stop to had it up it was on Empty.Jondalyn L.

I can't say enough about Diane and her crew there's nothing she won't do to ensure The customer is satisfied she doesn't just sit back and delegate barking orders every time I'm there she's right in the middle of it leading by example. Customer Service clerk made me wait in line even though my confirmation text said walk in and get my key WITHOUT having to wait in line, I was told one price after I returned the truck but my receipt online had an entirely different total, in which I'm on day 4 and my remaining balance hasn't been returned back to my card yet, I have used UHaul for years but I don't know if I ever will again, and I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone use your online services it's a headache, cash seems the way to go, at least I would've had my balance refunded back by now, horrible experience, horrible pre and after service.Kuame S.

Where to begin. This was the second weekend in a row that I (tried) to rent from this location. The first weekend I was told that the truck I had reservedâ€”the truck I was guaranteedâ€”was not yet returned. But it was OK because I could drive to a town 60+ miles away and get another truck. But not to worry because they would waive the extra mileage and lower my rental rate. Unacceptable. I had people coming in from out of town to help me move. I canceled my reservation. This weekend I RESERVED a truck to be picked up at 9:00 am. I received a call at 7:30 that the previous customer extended his reservation until noon. How this is possible when someone is in line behind him is beyond me. Again, the only recompense I was offered was there is a truck in Natchez, MS, a lovely 2+ hour drive down a 2 lane highway where I would no doubt be stuck behind a tractor, combine, or a slow moving U-Haul truck. I asked the woman on the phone about the $50 guarantee. She said that's if she can't get me a truck. In her mind, she was offering me a truck. Do eye-rolling emojis come through on this thing. If so, ðŸ™„. Evidently U-Haul needs some help with making reservations. It feels like I'm in an episode of Seinfeld: â€œSee, you know how to MAKE a reservation, you just don't know how to HOLD a reservation.â€ Which of course, is the essence of the reservation. If anyone from U-Haul has made it this far, I don't really expect anything from you. I guess it is what it is. I'm sure buried in the fine print of the rental agreement is legal verbiage that absolves your company from the obligation to make right any inconvenience that you cause your customers. Maybe your company needs a competitor that doesn't charge twice as much for poorer trucks. That way you're not content with reservation practices that reserve nothing and guarantees that effectively guarantee nothing. Maybe this review has been therapeutic for me and I just needed to write it down. But unlike Lincoln, I'm sending this letter. If any customers have made it this far, be careful trusting a U-Haul guarantee.CONRAD T.

My experience was horrible! Representative had me returning the truck the same day. I was charged for an extra day when I did not need it! After explaining to the representative in the office and showing my reservations online, she refunded me. Walked outside with the other representative, came back inside telling me I have all these different charges that I should have never had. I filled the truck up, then claim it was not on full, I went out, took a pic of the gas hand to show it was on full. Cleaning charges. The truck wasn't even dirty. I moved in home furniture(mattress) brand new still in plastic. Now with Covid going on, cleaning should be automatically done. They started naming so much to get that money back. I will never is this place again! HORRIBLE! Then the same representative was nasty to the customer whom was waiting behind me. How I seen, it was very racial! She was nice, smiling and laughing with 2 other customers before getting to me that wasn't my color. I will report this action furtherNYIKA M.

My box was not ready when requested. I even webt the day before to confirm it would be ready and the location. I was told it would be at the 24/7 self storage location the following afternoon. I arrived the next day at around 2 pm. My box had not been set out, and when i asked, an employee sent me to another location to look for it. My vehical had already been picked up by the moving company, so i had to walk the 3/4 miles to the other location only to find my box not there. I was then told it was at the first location I went to. I walked back there - another 3/4 mile - and finally got to my box. The staff was not helpful or attentive. I don't recommend this location or service to anyone and will not be using it in the future.Adrianna C R.

My equipment was not available due to a customer not returning on time. The clerk could not understand that in my eyes I was screwed over because I had made my reservations 10 days out and planned for one thing., Because a customer put her in this situation, she was not very understanding to my situation. I rented a vehicle for 24 hours for an in-town move. A lady named Tonya assisted me. She told me that the truck I was getting had 3/16 of a tank of gas and that Because the truck was not at 1/4 tank of gas, that I could get a $15.30 credit if I filled it to that mark when I dropped it off the next day, then added it to my contract. For some reason she also added an unnecessary $14 safe move charge on my contract. But I didn't see it until the next day. The next day, Tonya was not there. When I went to drop the vehicle off, I noticed that I wasn't getting the $15 credit. I explained to all three employees the contract I had and all three of them were equally lost on how to handle this. It ended with the man working there calling his manager to which he was told it would come off automatically. Later I was emailed the receipt. Not only did i still not get the credit, they also didn't show that I put the extra fuel in there at all. I even took a picture of the fuel and the mileage. This is extremely dishonest and time consuming. They clearly didn't see anything that would credit me the money back, then lied to me. To top it off, the man tried to cover it up by putting the incorrect amount of fuel on my final receipt. I don't know what standard U-haul has for their employees, but I would just like the credit I was promised.FRANKLIN W.
