I arrived before the store opened for business and was able to check-in with the app. Took a little time but smooth. I realized after checking in that I’d forgotten a utility cart, and GiGi, who was there preparing trucks, got one for me and added it to my order. Very please with the entire process - great service!

This review is for the entire UHAUL CO.
We reserved our truck & car trailer.
Then UHAUL plays games & screws up our schedules.
They switched locations to pick up the truck & car trailer.
Suddenly now the 20 ft truck we reserved isn't available so we got stuck with a 26 ft truck: cost more gas, harder to drive & very difficult to get gas or park.
Then returning was another nightmare.
The idiots in the Scheduling department are awful. (They screwed up our reserved pick up.)
First the scheduled us 1 hour away, to drop off the car trailer & 26 ft truck.
We called to complain.
Then we were told another place 38 mins away... except when we got there, that location refused to let us drop off.
We called again, this time Scheduling Depart sent us to a location that would've only been 20 mins from our home!!
Yeah, why didn't they send us there in the first place!!??!!

I made a reservation for 8:00 a.m., but due to life happening, I arrived about two hours late. When I pulled in, the parking lot was completely full, so I parked off to the side. The manager immediately yelled at me before I even had a chance to get out of the car.
Inside, there was a 45-minute wait just to check in. When I finally got to the counter, I was told my reservation had been given away. The employee assisting me said they had called, but no voicemail was left. I mentioned that with the amount of spam calls people get these days, leaving a voicemail is important. The manager then jumped in to say “we don’t ever call people,” contradicting what the employee had said moments earlier. The manager also claimed they had texted me that morning. I did receive a text and clicked the link right away, but they still gave away my reservation.
To top things off, when I finally did get a vehicle and was about to pull out, another staff member pulled up in a box truck and completely blocked me in.
All of these things are small things on their own, but when they all add up it just makes for a very frustrating experience.

Only one person there when I picked up at 9am, no other customers. Seemed a bit irritated about something. Part attituede in part of our boardered on rude. In end they told me what cost would be but too busy to print for my review. Email final bill charged for a gallon of gas, no big deal, but I filled it above the line it started at and was shown on initial document. Not worth any follow up, but they might want to have someone looking the truck over to be a bit more attentive to things like that.

Important that the location had the equipment i needed on hand. Associates were all very helpful, some knew how to connect the trailer to my car better than others. I have used this location multiple times, will continue to do so.

The truck gear shift was not able to go in to park at times . I mentioned this to the staff. They said it was fine, just push it hard and jam it in to park. The truck was not at all fuel efficient. It got about 7 miles to the gallon. The truck had a crack of about 5 inches long in the windshield. I mentioned this to the staff. They said it was ok. I would not consider this truck to be safe.

This location is charging me an extra $200 because they said that I kept the vehicle two extra days which I did not and that was confirmed by a representative on 8 October. It was just dropped off on Michigan Road instead of Illinois Street, but they couldn’t find the keys and now they’re charging me almost $200 and no one can help

Took more than an hour to pickup the truck. Slow service. I was told they were out of trucks, even though I made a reservation 2 months ago. The only truck they had was down for repaid, but told it was OK. The thing was a piece of junk. Never use U-Haul or this location again.

Everything was great! The only complaint would be the last minute change of pickup location. We requested to pick up the U-Haul in Whitestown and 24 hrs before our moving day, the location was moved to over an hour away. We spoke with Bree on the phone and she was able to change our pickup location to Michigan road which is only 40 min away from us. The general manager of the Michigan road location was a great help this morning.

The use of technology is good for many folks. It would be nice if that could be extended to allow those capable of using the tech to not have to wait in lines of people who might be taking 20 minutes to explore their options. In other words, a quick check-in process for those who have reservations and can complete the documents electronically.

The “Heartfelt Connection Transportation” U-Haul Dealer at 8770 Commerce Park Pl Ste H double booked the vehicle I reserved a week in advance and gave it away to someone else, but this location (6014 Michigan Rd) picked up the slack of their mistake. One of the women who worked at Michigan Rd was rude and contrarian regarding U-Haul’s fumble, but another woman was extremely helpful and made sure everything worked out and that I got my truck. It is because of her effort that I’m rating my experience 4 stars instead of two stars.
This is the second time U-Haul has double booked me.

The employee are nice. However, the van they rented out to me is very old ($19.95). I would have asked for a more recent van Model if I had known. The window has an outdated wind up and down lever. I would have loved if we were given option to choose from Newer van model instead of the old model ones. I saw a new one sitting by their garage but I wasnt given that. The accellerator and break gave me a scare on the highway. I wont rent at this location again.

Our truck would not start on trip back to return. when calling in for help was told to use app for help. I begged for a number for road service was told to use app. finally I was given 1800 go U-Haul and they solved the problem. It was a battery problem. In the end one of our cell phones was stolen and they called contact list for money. We were charged for gas. Under normal circumstances, I would expect that. But if we had stopped for gasoline, our truck would not have started again, it did not start again once we got to return location.
Truck was clean but not maintained. The young lady who checked us in was pleasant.

I booked a storage space & U-Haul online at this location. We moved all our items from home into the U-Haul, filled the gas back up and arrived back at this location to now move items into a storage unit. Representative 1 obtained all my information, process payment, gave me my storage # & showed me how to access storage area.
The movers open the storage unit and it was full of boxes from the previous storage owner. Representative 2 was notified and he stated “This is the customer’s fault.” & “We don’t have anymore units available.”
I walked back to the front and Representative 3 (Hispanic Female) goes on to tell me “We don’t have anymore units here” “I am going to refund your money” “You have to go to another U-Haul location on layfette & see if they have a storage” “we check and clean storage at night” “we cannot touch the customers items in the storage.”
Representative 3 didn’t care about us having to drive more miles to another location then back to this location to return uhual or the possibility that the next location might not have had any storage availability or that I had 2 movers waiting to unload our items for over an 1.
Representative 4 gave me the mangers information and stated to call him immediately regarding this issue.
After 1.5hrs the manager was able to provide me a storage unit and refund for first month (still waiting on refund)
The manager was very professional, kind and compassionate about the situation.

Key card never worked always had to wait until store was open to get to my storage. If you were 2 days late they charge a 15.00 late fee another 15.00 if your 2 weeks late.
Storage unit area had birds in there my stuff had bird feces on it.

The staff at the facility were so helpful. There was a problem with my access card and staff members Stony and Jesus were always available to open the storage room and Stony put in great effort to investigate the problem by reaching out to his boss and then the supervisor above his boss too! So a huge shout out to the staff for being helpful. Monet was the agent who helped us secure the storage room and she was friendly and quick to get the room assigned so we could start moving in. The hallways are very well lit and there was even a cart we could use to move things into our storage unit. However the light in the storage room we rented was burnt out.
