Rented a truck for December 14th @1:30 pm, Returned the next day at 7:00pm. I had my child with me and was unable to drop off at the 1:30 time so I had to wait for my boyfriend to help me drive cause I was unable to drive both vehicles. I went online and saw that I was charged for a second day and then charged twice for my rental causing my account to get charged and over draft fee. Called customer service, they linked me to a manager. Manager called me was being very rude and aggressive, said it wasn't his problem that I had no way of transporting with a baby in the cold so he will continue charging me for an extra day: Even tho I told him about my situation, he seemed careless. I also wasn't made aware of the online return app. Highly upset with the professionalism and customer service displayed at this location; I will not be renting from this location again.nyadoar G.

No one offered to help me unhook the trailer. Instead I was told to do it myselfJonathan W.
When I came into the location, no one was there. I called the store and no one answered the phone. I noticed a man outside so I called the number again, saw him look at the phone, and then heard on my end that I was back in the main queue with the recorded message. He ignored my call. Even if he would have answered and asked me to hold, I would have felt better knowing I was supposed to be standing in the building alone. Truck itself: I got in and was still in the parking lot waiting to turn into the street and already thought it was going to die based on the noises it was making. It would sound stable and then go low and shake. I'm glad it never quit on me, and I'm glad I wasn't traveling more than across town. The oil light was on the whole time and the brakes made noise whenever I would slow or stop. â€œGentle ride vanâ€ is the opposite of what I would call the rickety ride. When the back was empty or full, there was nothing to absorb the bounce. The truck got the job done and I'm thankful a 26' was available. The check in process for the truck was quick and easy and the man checking me in was friendly.Maggie M.

I normally do not complete surveys and I was not going to complain about the man at the independence location but I completed this survey to compliment the gentleman in Omaha. Wasn't happy I got charged for another whole day. Yes I was two hours late returning but had let them know I would be an hour or two longer than the 24 hour rental when I rented it. Was told it would just be by the hour. So I expected maybe a $15late fee for a couple hours. Not a whole day.i would've kept it and got all my other things picked up if I knew it was going to be a full day charge. I would like a refund of half the day. I was driving across country from Nebraska to Tennessee so I asked for the newest 12-ft enclosed trailer. They had. That was completely ignored. The brake and turn lights were checked but apparently not the tail lights. it took me two extra days to travel because I had no tail lights at night. U-Haul desperately needs to put checks on their trailers. Even empty, I had to ask two strangers to help me lift it off the hitch. The U-Haul car hauler trailers have a jack but not the cargo trailers or anything else for that matter. When I reserve this trailer, I was planning to pick it up at a different location. At the last minute. Minute, I was told that they didn't have one and that I "probably" could get one in Omaha. I asked the woman at the reservation center in Council Bluffs Iowa If they could preserve one for me specifically, because I had a crew waiting to load it at a certain time. Time. I couldn't get it an assurance that there would absolutely be one there for me. I told her I wanted, in effect, one chained to the wall, with my name on it. She gave me a snippy answer and hung up. As it happened, the trailer was not there because the previous renter did not bring it back on time. This can happen. The man at the Omaha location was kind, and gave me a discount off the trailer as I had to travel some distance in Omaha to pick it up.Joseph G.

When following up with questions/issues, I called the local number and was sent to the 800 service and support number. My issues ended up being at the national level and may not be directly tied to the local level. I had two ~30 minute calls regarding credit card and driver changes. I was evidently given bad information upfront on which credit card would be charged and the process, and then was told rather rudely that it could not be corrected after the rental contract was complete. Not understanding why a credit couldn't be issued on one card and then charge the other.Ross H.

I popped in to rent a trailer for a day. The rental process took 20-30 minutes and that was before we went o hook up the trailer. I have rented from this location many times over the years. It would be nice if uHaul's system could keep my info to speed up the rental process. I would guess the entire process took 45-50 minutes. Way too long!RANDALL L M.
Nothing - they move my cargo van rental over to where I would have to park my car so I would not have to walk back to get it because I was in alot of pain with my knee and was having troubles walking. I appreciated the nice lady at the counter and the nice gentleman that brought me the keys and parked the van for me. This was a great customer service experience with both of those individuals. We were overcharged by $63 for renting a pickup truck for 1 hour. We drove a total of 22 miles, and was charged $43 for fuel, even though the gas meter didn't move. The other $20 came from "Overnight Key Dropoff," even though the employee who helped us told us that they would not charge us the overnight key drop off.
