Wasn't happy I got charged for another whole day. Yes I was two hours late returning but had let them know I would be an hour or two longer than the 24 hour rental when I rented it. Was told it would just be by the hour. So I expected maybe a $15late fee for a couple hours. Not a whole day.i would've kept it and got all my other things picked up if I knew it was going to be a full day charge. I would like a refund of half the day. But no one ever answers the phone there. Just a national operator.

I was driving across country from Nebraska to Tennessee so I asked for the newest 12-ft enclosed trailer. They had. That was completely ignored. The brake and turn lights were checked but apparently not the tail lights. it took me two extra days to travel because I had no tail lights at night. U-Haul desperately needs to put checks on their trailers. Even empty, I had to ask two strangers to help me lift it off the hitch. The U-Haul car hauler trailers have a jack but not the cargo trailers or anything else for that matter. When I reserve this trailer, I was planning to pick it up at a different location. At the last minute. Minute, I was told that they didn't have one and that I "probably" could get one in Omaha. I asked the woman at the reservation center in Council Bluffs Iowa If they could preserve one for me specifically, because I had a crew waiting to load it at a certain time. Time. I couldn't get it an assurance that there would absolutely be one there for me. I told her I wanted, in effect, one chained to the wall, with my name on it. She gave me a snippy answer and hung up. As it happened, the trailer was not there because the previous renter did not bring it back on time. This can happen. The man at the Omaha location was kind, and gave me a discount off the trailer as I had to travel some distance in Omaha to pick it up.
The team at this location was outstanding. They were efficient and helpful and wickedly fast. This has been our go to location for multiple rentals. They exceed in customer satisfaction time after time!
When following up with questions/issues, I called the local number and was sent to the 800 service and support number. My issues ended up being at the national level and may not be directly tied to the local level. I had two ~30 minute calls regarding credit card and driver changes. I was evidently given bad information upfront on which credit card would be charged and the process, and then was told rather rudely that it could not be corrected after the rental contract was complete. Not understanding why a credit couldn't be issued on one card and then charge the other.
I think fully communicating the costs. I mentioned I may keep the truck for 2 days. There was zero mention that insurance would be charged for both days. It's frustrating during the time of a pandemic & moving when money is clearly tight to have an extra amount added to a premium.

The people that work here are very friendly, helpful and professional. I highly recommend them for any truck rental.
The manager was horrible rude to me because I can't wear a face mask. He shamed me in front of other customers. Took out disinfectant wipes and scrubbed down my CC. His snide comments and overall condescending attitude was horrible.

I was told at the pickup location that I could return the trailer to any u haul location at my destination. This turned out to be untrue. The El JoBean location refused to accept the trailer and I was told to go to the Placida location.
Everything was perfect. I was actually surprised at how nice and new the equipment was.

I popped in to rent a trailer for a day. The rental process took 20-30 minutes and that was before we went o hook up the trailer. I have rented from this location many times over the years. It would be nice if uHaul's system could keep my info to speed up the rental process. I would guess the entire process took 45-50 minutes. Way too long!
Nothing - they move my cargo van rental over to where I would have to park my car so I would not have to walk back to get it because I was in alot of pain with my knee and was having troubles walking. I appreciated the nice lady at the counter and the nice gentleman that brought me the keys and parked the van for me. This was a great customer service experience with both of those individuals. They ROCK!!
Helped in locating what I needed.
We were overcharged by $63 for renting a pickup truck for 1 hour. We drove a total of 22 miles, and was charged $43 for fuel, even though the gas meter didn't move. The other $20 came from "Overnight Key Dropoff," even though the employee who helped us told us that they would not charge us the overnight key drop off. Very frustrating; this is no way to do business. I expect some sort of action to be taken here. My email is Trevor@trevorsandidge.com
