I was disappointed that it appeared that there were only 3 employees on a busy Sunday morning and it took more than 30 minutes for me to get the keys to my rental. Once in the vehicle I was further disappointed that the windshield was so dirty that it severely limited my visibility.

We were quite impressed with the service. The van we rented was very new & very clean, and perfectly suited for our needs— but a gas hog. Since most rentals are local, when are you switching to electric or hybrid vehicles?

When I scheduled my Uhaul I specifically asked if I could get one that I could drop off at another location because I didn't want to drive all the way back and they told me I could as long as a 15ft or 20ft when I went to pick up they said I had to drop it back off to that location instead. It was very frustrating being told one thing and then another happening

Wish the trucks came with a full tank of gas, then bill the customer cost to return tank to full. The last thing I want to do is get gas after a long moving day.

Would definitely recommend this U-Haul but I would not recommend the U-haul in Oceanside First I made a reservation for a 5x10 trailer they didn't have it so they had to call me and tell me it wasn't available so they down graded me to a 5x8 trailer. Then when I got to the U-Haul the trailer wasn't there they had to call another U-Hual (this Escondido one) which this place was very helpful. But the U-Haul in Oceanside was a bad experience in my book.

This is a large facility with hundreds of rental items. Expect some congestion. However, the staff serves everyone as quick as possible. My equipment was perfect for the job..moving a 20' tower.

If the truck had a full tank of gas, and you billed the customer for the gas used, it would be a great option. After moving, the last thing someone wants to do is find a gas station and put in what you used.

Even though the Uhaul website has much room for improvement, this location has excellent staff with great customer service. They had good coordination getting paperwork and truck/trailer ready at the same time. Very pleasant renting experience. The Silverado pickup truck was a fantastic towing vehicle.

great customer service, I recommend equipment upgrade as trailers have some missing lights and wear and tear. The barcode to confirm I was at their location was not able to be read correctly. Also, the barcode was used for multiple funtions. ex: I returned trailer and the barcode that is displayed on window is for storage units.

The staff was great. My rating is because the elevator was broken and wouldn’t be fixed for 2 weeks. The only unit available was up a pretty narrow staircase. I had some large furniture and just my husband and our 5 small children. I wasn’t about to kill myself over a free month of storage so I had to cancel and scramble to find something else nearby and get my 20’ u-haul emptied out and back in time.

Had a great experience overall...only negative is the freight elevator was not operational on the day we moved all of our big heavy furniture out of our storage unit, so the movers had to carry all of it down the stairs. Not fun!

Usually long waits at the desk, one of my pillows got moldy. First 2 months I didn’t receive a phone call or email, and their letter did not reach me until after the late fees on my rent were applied. My belongings were secure and safe however

He was not nice and Justin really doesn’t care to help customers who are online customers and get accurate rates and booking for storage Called 4 corporate offices before someone actually tried and realized my online promo code was valid and a glitch due to uhaul systems.

I really like U-Haul's packing boxes and box tape! But because I am looking for a storage-only type facility I found the heavy amount of traffic (for U-Haul trucks, trailers, etc) to be a bit inconvenient. While U-Haul would be my go-to place for those type of things (and more boxes!), I would most likely only use a U-Haul facility for storage if it was the only thing offered at the location. Staff was super friendly and helpful! I'll be back for more boxes!!

I am writing about my recent one-way U-Haul Truck Rental from El Dorado Hills to Escondido, CA. It is U-Haul Contract 22518356. I chose my destination point because they had on-site climate-control lockers. I made the locker reservation at the same time I reserved the truck. When I arrived at my destination on May 1st, they did not have a locker that was usable for me. The only 10x10 they had was on the second floor and their elevator was broken and they had no idea when it would be repaired. I had dozens of boxes on the truck and it was not acceptable to have to carry them to the second floor by steps manually. I told the check-in clerk that it would not work and my only solution was to keep my property on the truck at no extra cost until they could provide a suitable locker. He checked with an associate and told me that was OK to do. So, when I was called the following week that a suitable locker was available, I rented it, unloaded the truck and returned it. I should not have been charge anything beyond my initial fee for the truck rental, yet I was charged for an extra seven days truck rental. l request you issue me a full refund. Incidentally, right after my experience in my first attempt to return the truck I filed a complaint on the U-Haul website with both the truck and locker contract numbers and asked that I be contacted by phone. Nobody ever responded.

My original unit was n the second floor, but upon arrival we were informed that the elevator was out of order. The alternate first floor unit 5x8x9 we were assigned was available according to their system, but there was a lock on it. The lock was cut only to discover that the unit was still occupied. The only other units were either too small or a larger 5x8x10 was available at a higher price, considering our situation we accepted the more expensive unit. Justin the employee assisting us was very courteous. Perhaps we should have been given the larger unit at the price of the first two units we were assigned, and given the fact that we have 1 free month of unit rental through our previous trailer rental I really cannot complain too much.
