Picked truck up on Saturday morning at Oakwood location, the customer service lady was having a bad day at 7am. She acted like we were bothering her with all our questions, we know we had a long day ahead of us but to start the day we wanted to make sure we did all that was expected when renting your equipment . If customers aren't familiar with your policies your service people should be more patient and willing to help out instead of just dismissing them. There was noone in your store at that time they should've been more willing to help. Instead she was curt and couldn't wait to get us out if there, so no I won't be returning to that location.
The sales associates I interacted with were very polite and explained everything to me very thoroughly. Good experience!!!!

Trailer had not been cleaned from previous use. Wrong trailer was forced on me. I need and ordered and reserved a 6x12 without a ramp. Got there only to be told that I was going to take the one with the ramp or nothing. They did not have the one without the ramp. They did not call to tell me a thing about not having the one I ordered. They could have contacted me earlier so that I could have picked up the trailer without the ramp at a different location. I pick up near closing because I need to. I rent the trailer for two days. The ramp gets in the way. A fork lift loads my material. With the ramp IN THE WAY, 2000 pounds must be loaded by hand. This makes my experience much more difficult. I was also charged for the trailer with the ramp. This is not a minor inconvenience. This is MAJOR! It is a major pain in the neck to have to move 2000 pounds by hand when the plan is to load and unload a pallet with a forklift! I want the piece of equipment that I reserved. I want the services provided. No one called as they should have. No one cares if the customer gets the proper piece of equipment they rented. No one even cares if there are no 6x12 RAMPLESS trailers available on the Westbank of the Crescent City. Uhaul has been going downhill in the past 2 years. I have been renting from the Lapalco and Brooklyn store for over 10 years. In the past 2 years they have not had a 6x12 trailer available without a ramp. I am forced to go way across the river and to a dangerous part of town to get the trailer they say has no ramp. We will see if the Tulane store has the trailer without the ramp as they said they will for my rental tomorrow. I will do a review on them upon my return. The Oakwood store is terrible. It has a terrible manager, the trailer was full of trash and was the wrong trailer. I did not reserve a 6x12 with a ramp! I will NEVER GO TO THE OAKWOOD LOCATION FOR ANYTHING, EVER! THE MANAGER WAS RUDE AND COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS IF HIS CUSTOMERS GOT WHAT THEY RESERVED. HE DID NOT BOTHER TO INFORM ME THAT THERE WAS A TRAILER AT ANOTHER LOCATION WITHOUT A RAMP. HE DOSE NOT CARE! This rental was in May of 2020.

Dropped equipment off early. Location did not send receipt for several days and is claiming equipment was turned in late. Location had equipment return signage but then requests you to move equipment to a different area.
The unit I rented has a mechanical issue. It sounds like the rear end is about to fall out.
They need more customer service reps in the stores so they don't have a long line to wait, and before you say oh they can use the mobile app... But y'all have to keep in mind everyone is not computer savvy. So that's why I would like to see more than one customer service representative in the store to assist the customers checking in the vehicle checking out a vehicle.

This location didn't have any furniture pads in truck or at location. I requested an extra dolly and three dozen pads and they couldn't accommodate.
Everything was amazing. Quick and easy. The employee who help me was amazing and very professional. The only thing that I didn't like was the self damage assessment. I just think that someone should come out to the vehicle and assess the damage with the customer. It just seems that doing the self assessment leave lots of room for potential legal issues concerning what was damaged and what wasn't prior to the vehicle leaving the premises. There was lots of damaged areas that weren't marked with the “x†sticker that I had to take pics of. An employee should come out and verify this unmarked damaged BEFORE the customer takes the vehicle.
The two associates that worked outside can be better helpful during my pickup time.
This location refunded my money on the appliance dolly and failed to tell me. Just said I paid too much. They lied and said they didn't have any appliance dollies. I called the location on Laplaco Blvd. He lied over the phone and said that location didn't have any but they had a utility dolly. That location said I could use the utility dolly. Upon arrival of the Laplaco location, I parked the equipment and went in. When entering I seen there was not only utility dollies but also appliance dollies. So, I told the worker I had just spoke to him and I seen they have utility dollies. I was asked if I was going one way, when I said, no, he replied by saying that's way. So, the locations workers don't rent the equipment if you're not going one way. The Gretna location said it's not guaranteed to receive a dolly. Well, It shouldn't be on there rental if it's not guaranteed. The worker at the Laplaco location felt bad for lying so he did let me use the appliance dolly. I was able to return that equipment back to that location. This was an awful experience. The lies and disrespect. You shouldn't even ask a customer where they would like to pickup equipment if you don't try to at least make an effort to accommodate the customer. Gretna location was out of my way to begin with.
I believe the gentleman working the counters name was Kenny, and as I waited for 17 minutes behind a person he was working with he did not acknowledge my presence once. He was telling her about 15 different options she could go with and she left without spending one dollar. I had a reservation set 4 days prior that I could not confirm online even with my reservation number. what really got me is that another female walked in five minutes into our interaction and he immediately asked her is there anything he can do to help her out. Then while doing my transaction he did her transaction at the same time slowing up my process. That's not how you do business. On the good side the gentleman hooking up the trailer I believe his name was Curtis was super friendly and kind of took a little bit of the sting out of what happened inside the store. I thought setting my reservation on Thursday and picking up the trailer on Sunday would be a 10 to 15 minute ordeal but wound up taking 45 minutes. And there was only one person at the counter in front of me when I got there.
I rented a Uhaul and returned it because Rooms to Go didn't have any power. So I was charged for services, but the next day I received an additional bill and I contacted the manager Mr. VJ and stopped by the location. He called me a liar and said I did keep the truck. He told me that I shouldn't contact corporate office because he makes the decision and not corporate. He said he was going to review the video footage and get back to me I never heard from him again. I am going to my bank to today and file a dispute. Then I will contact my local news station if I don't get any results. I have never been made to feel so disrespected in my life. He is rude and flat out told me I was stupid and couldn't read. I have rented Uhauls before and I will NEVER rent again.
Milage rates could be lower
Not say that you close at 1 time and leave early. The store hours on the door said it closed at 8, online website and on the phone said they were still open at 7:15 pm but it was already closed before 8.

Please have vehicle that was place on reservation. We reserved a 17 inch and had to settle for a Van to move merchandise from one location to another. This is unacceptable. Also, when you see someone reserving a vehicle for 1 week and you can only give it to them for a day, the proper courtesy is to call them. We have a corporate account for Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office. Feel free to contact me @ (504) 361-2522. We were not accommodated for inconvenience and had to extend the rental due to the size difference.
Every time I use Uhaul the truck I reserved at a specific time is NEVER available. I reserved a truck on 10/31/20 for 8am. I was told that my truck is not there and that it will be arriving at 12 noon coming from Texas!! Moving is stressful enough without having Uhaul adding to the stress. This is the second time this has happened to me. AWFUL!!!

First of all, I had ordered my uhaul a month in advance to be picked up in Metairie. Got a call the day before that I had to go to Gretna. Then get there and their system is down and had to go all the way back gone then back. Then no store had a furniture dolly that I had ordered as well. Very frustrating when the website allows me to pick things at a store that doesn't have the right size truck AND when the equipment they offer isn't available. Probably not as much the gretna location as their employees were pretty helpful but still a very frustrating process.
Very seamless pick up and drop off. Would have preferred to rent moving blankets (as reserved) and was disappointed they were not available on the day but not that big a deal.
Floor and one wall Was covered in Old nasty cooking Grease!!!!! Smelled horrible. Before I could use it, I had to steam clean it.
Everything went well; from driving up to uhaul until dropping the vehicle off. Customer service was GREAT!!! Fast and Flawless
BJ (the manager)and my return attendant (I believe his name was Kendrick) were so sweet prompt and informative! I'd definitely recommend them! They made a stressful day just a little less stressful and I was extremely grateful

The staff is amazing! The store is clean and well stocked. The vehicle however, had a lot to be desired. The truck had a loose rubber gasket on the passenger door and an exhaust leak. The exhaust leak was possibly from loose rubber gasket on the console. There was a front running light out. There was a high pitched sound while driving. Also, the after hour check in is extreme. People should be told in advance all of the steps involved.

Overall decent experience. However, I booked the unit through your main u-haul corporate number as it was done simultaneously as booking the trailer. The service agent clearly stated that I had a unit at this location that was climate controlled. I get to the location and they do Not have my reservation and cannot offer a climate controlled unit. This was frustrating. Then to be told we will be charged an extra $2 per furniture blanket if we don't fold them....REALLY?! Other than that, experience was decent. Team at this location still was helpful in resolving the issues.
Customer service was Horrible. The young man had an attitude the entire time it was as tho I Interrupt him. He was short, no explanation at all to what I was asking concerning the card to swipe to gain entrance to my storage on the third floor. He was just unconcerned about waiting on me.
I reserved a uhaul for February 29 at 7am ., totally forgot about that time made it to uhaul around 8 only to find the truck was No longer available., no warning Na email reminder nothing. I e reserved vehicles for personal usage and never received this type of service. Uhaul should definitely look into this policy and make the employees more sympathetic with customers because the attitudes are terrible

My only problem with u haul is the fact, yearly the storage fees went up. I know it cost to maintain any business. However, in the eleven years I stored my merchandise the cost became unaffordable.
