No one came outside to check the car with me. Was told to go outback to get my car nobody drove around the front told me it was raining so go around the back to find my U-Haul truck like I work at U-Haul I got a figure out which one is my truck

Two main issues were maintenance of the trucks and staffing at this location. The only 17' truck left ( which had been reserved in advance) wouldn't start when we went to leave. I was given a 15' truck in its place. The return of the truck was a nightmare. Took almost 90 minutes to return the truck. Only one person behind the counter & one person cleaning & processing the trucks outside.

First I called the location asking could I get a u haul and drop it off to another Location lady said yes so I made the reservation! Get there to pick up uhaul guy ringing me up tell me I have to return it back to their location which now meant I had to make a second trip back across the river which doubled my mileage! If they would've told me no I would rented a truck from by my house that way it would've been cheaper I would've on made one trip! Then once reading my receipt upon returning the truck I noticed a $14.99 charge for insurance which I didn't ask for or was I ever offered ! So I talked wit the manager there explained to her about the charge she replied oh there's nothing I can do about that you should've brought it up earlier! Then they told me I went 4.34 over and they would charge my card get an alert from my credit card company saying I was charged 4.99 ! I use u haul quite often yhisbwas my first time using the west back location and will be my last! I was highly dissatisfied

They need to train the people. They have 6 customer front of me I waiting almost 1 hour and 20 minutes that very poor service. I never go again at location.

I came with an urgent need for a vehical and to my pleasent surprise the guy at the front deskwas able to meet my needs. Although a little high on the price with extra fees I must say he took care of rather quickly. Im pleased to say the least. thank you!!!!!

I picked up the truck and once I got to my house I tried to unlock the lock on the back of the truck so I called the store back and I was forwarded to the corporate store and told the lady what was going on and she told me to take the truck back and they would give me another one. I proceeded to hang up and thought of another question so I called back. I asked if idk be charged for the miles and gas going back and she said no then transferred me over to dispatch and they told the same thing. I got back to the store and told them I couldn't get the lock off,one of the guys tried to get it off, he couldn't. So he went in and got his manager and he went and tried to get it off and ended up having the other guy bell unlock the lock. So there were two people that took off the lock. I then proceeded to tell the manager what the corporate store said over the phone and he asked who I spoke with and I said I didn't know but it was a woman l and he said well she lied you have to go off of want the contract says.....this wasn't a pleasant experience.

hire a new general manager because he's very disrespectful. when i asked to extend my time mr.virdis mackel threaten to charge me extra. he lied and said that they were all booked up but when i went back the they had a lot filled with available rentals. i ended up renting the exact same truck for 4 more hours. i paid twice for the same truck.

Pick up wait was extremely long and the appliance dolly I reserved was not available. I was given alternate equipment at same cost. I feel it should have been free due to inconvenience. Drop off was very fast and efficient, however.

The Gretna store manager VJ was absolutely awful. He called me at 5 pm the night before I was supposed to pick up my truck and told me they didn't have one available for me. Then, he lied and told me that there weren't any pick up trucks available in the area because he was too lazy to call the other stores. I quickly looked up New Orleans stores online and was able to find a Uhaul pick up truck at 3 different locations within 1 minute flat. Once I confronted him about this he claimed he already called those locations when he clearly didn't. He then transferred my reservation to the St Claude store, however when I called the St Claude store to ask about picking up the other items from my reservation (utility dolly, furniture dolly, and furniture pads) they said I had to go to the Gretna store to pick up that part of my reservation. Once at the Greta store the next morning, I asked VJ to pull up my reservation for the dollies and equipment. He didn't even bother to tell us that the pick up had been dropped off in the middle of the night. He didn't say anything at all when I was explaining we had to go to the St Claude store to pick up a truck and how we were making stops at 2 different Uhaul locations, which forced me to delay my movers. Only when my mother asked him point blank if there was a pick up available since she saw one in front did he finally admit there was one available. People like this make Uhaul a living nightmare. I am never going to do business with Uhaul again.

I can't think of an improvement needed. I was impressed with the professionalism shown by the entire staff that I came into contact with. Upon return of the van, I discovered I had left my car keys at home with no way to retrieve them. The manager was willing to use his personal vehicle to drive me to my house and back to the facility to retrieve my car, all on his own time. It was not a long trip, but it was a real lifesaver for me as no one else could come and get me. He was helpful and professional all the way around! Can't say more than that. Well done.
