1. The units could be maintained better. The unit I picked up was a new unit and smelled of a urine scent.
2. The unit maintenance light came on several times and then the "change engineoil soon" light came on and stayed on.
3. As well the steering wheel was shaking from time to time. It displayed only 6868 miles which is totally unacceptable.
My initial encounter was upon arrival, at 4:42pm, for my 4:30pm pick up, I was informed that my reservation was canceled at 11:30am that morning without notice or anything, the clerk had no idea why it was canceled. She offered me a 10ft truck, which I declined. There was one van parked on the lot, and i was told it was for another customer and I couldn't get that because it had to be brought back that same evening, yet my reservation was from Saturday evening until Wednesday evening. After waiting more than 20 minutes or so with back and forth on the phone with her supervisor or customer service, she then said I could get this particular van. This issue caused me to have to go clearly away from my designated location and had to travel 25-30 miles away because the traffic and bridge was blocked due to the parade closures at 5:15pm on the Expressway and Interstates.
I reported some of these issues however, I was informed that someone would reach out to me, and that hasn't happened yet either. I am truly not satisfied with this rental.

This was a 2700 mile move made by 2 adults and an infant. The personnel at this location were very helpful. However, the equipment was less than ideal. The driver side visor was broken and fell off when closing the door. The air-conditioning only blew hot air. Not pleasant when traveling through the south and southwest. The truck was so loud it made conversation impossible and there was nothing "gentle" about the ride. On a good note, the baby seemed to like the bounce.

They had a young girl at the counter on yesterday, which was February 1, 2026. She was working three registers by herself. Nobody in the store was aggravated. Nobody got out of place. Everybody was working with her. She was wonderful and the young guy that was working with her too. It was the crew that worked February 1, 2026 in the morning my pick up was for 930. They were great. I kept telling them how great they were.

My experience with U-Haul storage was bad only because of the elevator was down for over three months and I was charged knowing that the elevator was going to be down. I had to buy and purchase items that I didn’t need because I had them in storage and the only way you can go to get anything out of storage, but through the fire escape, which was a chance I was able to take once it was too high for me to be up there and unsafe mentally for me. Such a bad experience financially, emotionally and physically. Although I know it was not the employees of U-Haul responsibility to have a working elevator is on the company U-Haul corporate and the elevator company however I would like to be compensated for my inconvenience.

I woulda went somewhere else a big no for me and this UHAUL is higher than any Uhaul I ever been to. The place also had an elevator, which we had to wait. The workers was asking me to keep my truck there and come back in the morning because it was 7pm. Mind you I been patiently waiting to use the elevator because two people was in the unloading station and only two truck can go in. The storage is smaller and higher and this wasn’t the best service at all but I don’t know because the air was broken and I woulda got aggravated too!! The guys was awesome also.

Storage units are tiny. I was forced to get two units because of size. Both units were corner units where part of the wall was blocked off taking up the actual space. Making it smaller. I guess its the shape of the building but it doesnt make sense to pay for space that youre not using. Also the access hours are horrible. Being able to only access your unit during office is HORRIBLE

This uHaul is the best run uHaul facility I have experienced. The staff is friendly and helpful. The manager Aisha runs a tight ship, and everyone there is very professional. I have rented from U-Haul multiple times and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Prior to moving in I received the traditional email with my unit number, access code, and storage hours which are listed as 6am - 10pm. Once I arrived to the storage I tried entering my access code and I received an error message saying invalid code. I informed the manager and she said “o you don’t need a code because your storage is on this side.” I didn’t think anything of it and said ok thank you. After moving in I went to my storage after the office was closed but during storage access hours to retrieve something and to my surprise I was faced with the same message access denied invalid code. At this point I’m totally confused so I call the 800 number to see what’s going on to only be told they can’t issue me code I would have to speak with the property manager. I was scheduled to go out of the country the next morning and needed to access my storage then and there. After misssing my trip I called the property manager as soon as they opened to get an access code so I can gain access to my belongings and she informed me “we don’t give codes here you can only get in your storage when the office is open.” I was at a total lost for words as I have never heard of anything like this especially since I have an email stating other wise and again this was not my first time renting from U-Haul but it was most definitely my last. Ms. Aleisha Smith is a crook and she is robbing people out of their money. Due to her customer service I will never rent from U-Haul again nor will I recommend anyone to rent from them either.

When I got there yesterday the employee told me the storage was close and it was only 6:00 pm. The email I got and also the customer service rep I called that same day said the storage close at 10 pm. So I was not able to get into my storage on the day I was supposed to move into it and also I had to use gas to drive 2 hours to where I stay at and 2 hours back to the storage place the next morning. The employees didn’t help at all. All the employees need training on how to deal with customers or be fire or something. This was the worst customer service experience I ever experienced.

Aisha was very helpful, kind and patient. I didn't want to move in right away. I wanted to wait until I found someone to help me unload the van. Also, I wanted to wait to.move in after my check is deposited into the bank. Thanks for letting me wait to move in after all of that. The only thing that could be better were if I could have access to my unit until 9 or 10p.m.

This place needs a serious training in customer service and relations. I had an cashier associate tell the cashier that was waiting on me ,she didn’t need to apologize to me, I front of me because their system was running slow . Of course I asked her why would she say that in front of the customer with meat amazing right there. Ohhh,it escalated and yes she had every right to call the police. I read he so bad. I called to speak with the manager she made a promise to compensate me,which I never received an email with any changes included. Didn’t happen. However, these ladies need to be on undercover boss,that’s how rude and ignorant they are at the U-Haul West Bank , Gretna , LA location. The next month I closed out my storage and moved on. You shouldn’t try people you know nothing about. That’s making a long story short

The internet says that the storage facility is accesable until 10pm and after i rented it and was given a code, i couldn't get in at 6:30 pm and was told the following day that access was only during business hours. I had to ask for a refund that i'm still waiting to be returned. It screwed up my entire moving plan for the weekend.

Overall decent experience. However, I booked the unit through your main u-haul corporate number as it was done simultaneously as booking the trailer. The service agent clearly stated that I had a unit at this location that was climate controlled. I get to the location and they do Not have my reservation and cannot offer a climate controlled unit. This was frustrating. Then to be told we will be charged an extra $2 per furniture blanket if we don't fold them....REALLY?! Other than that, experience was decent. Team at this location still was helpful in resolving the issues.

I reserved a uhaul for February 29 at 7am ., totally forgot about that time made it to uhaul around 8 only to find the truck was No longer available., no warning Na email reminder nothing. I e reserved vehicles for personal usage and never received this type of service. Uhaul should definitely look into this policy and make the employees more sympathetic with customers because the attitudes are terrible

My only problem with u haul is the fact, yearly the storage fees went up. I know it cost to maintain any business. However, in the eleven years I stored my merchandise the cost became unaffordable.
