Steven W.I was given a truck that was infested with roaches. I called customer service and have yet to receive a call back. When I returned the vehicle and informed them that the truck is infested, there was no surprise. I was told that they had previously bombed the back of the truck due to the roach infestation. I informed them that the roaches are now in the front of the vehicle and they are coming from the red box stationed on the floor in between the seats. I did not notice the roaches during the initial inspection because they didn't start to scatter until about half way through the trip after driving down a bumpy road. This was an extremely disturbing experience and I've never had a bad experience with this company so I'm very disappointed. A roach crawled on my leg as I drove back to the u-haul location, waiting on the line for a customer service manager. The roaches were running around while I was getting the run around from customer service. I was transferred multiple times and still over a week later absolutely no follow up but you want my feedback? Sure. I'll be happy to share my videos and experience with everyone, warning them to never rent a u-haul because the customer service is horrible!

When I inquired about it, I was told to: “ignore it†The truck obviously was old cause it rattled constantly leaving me uncomfortable that it would break-down at any moment! Though it my sound as though I'm embellishing the experience trust me I'm NOT!! After looking at my email receipt I noticed several charges. One of which is for fuel. Which puzzles me since I stopped for fuel minutes before I returned the truck. I can easily prove I returned the fuel to it's pick-up level. NOT a happy customer about this bullshit at ALL!!

Bernard C.That van was a death trap. It needs new brakes, and the alignment was way off. I fought the van for several hours today to keep it on the road. It had less than 20,000 miles but I've never experienced a more scary rental. The gretna location staff on the other hand are the exact opposite. I will always trust them with anything I need. Storage, trailer hitches, etc. They have always done so. The rental equipment does not match how good they are. Positive reviews on the staff, bad marks on the equipment I rented. Please fix that van! And give the employees my best! They were the stars!

Roshawn S.For a mobile pickup and had to go in. I waited in line for 35 minutes listen to one cashier complain about the other workers and the other not knowing what she was doing. After finally getting to the register and checked in, she couldn't find the key. I lost out on 35 minutes of my rental time. I called the regional office to be compensated and was told by Nia ( with an ghetto attitude) you can't be compensated for waiting in line. I asked for a manager and she said "I am the Regional manager and MY NAME IS NIA ( as if you say call and report me)!"

Khanh B.Overall experience was horrible. I scheduled a month in advance for a 20 in truck & two furniture dollys with online check in. The day of I was happy I had online check in because it was a very cold and rainy morning. Well I still ended up having to go inside of location twice. The first time because the lock box for key wouldn't open. Second time while checking the uhaul to insure everything was correct I realized the furniture dollys weren't in there. One of the ladies told me they didn't have any. That's something I wish they would've called and told me or at least told me when I went in there for the key. Then as a substitution they said you have a dolly in the truck you can use that would be $4 cheaper. I didn't understand how i could be charged for a substitution I didn't even want or ask for. I was forced to use because what I actually wanted and needed wasn't available

Of course I asked her why would she say that in front of the customer with meat amazing right there. Ohhh,it escalated and yes she had every right to call the police. I read he so bad. I called to speak with the manager she made a promise to compensate me,which I never received an email with any changes included. Didn’t happen. However, these ladies need to be on undercover boss,that’s how rude and ignorant they are at the U-Haul West Bank , Gretna , LA location. The next month I closed out my storage and moved on. You shouldn’t try people you know nothing about. That’s making a long story short

The service agent clearly stated that I had a unit at this location that was climate controlled. I get to the location and they do Not have my reservation and cannot offer a climate controlled unit. This was frustrating. Then to be told we will be charged an extra $2 per furniture blanket if we don't fold them....REALLY?! Other than that, experience was decent. Team at this location still was helpful in resolving the issues.
