Make sure all emails go to me they kept going to my sister's email and her and I no longer have a relationship. I don't want my private info going to her or anywhere else that is not my email. I arrived early to U-Haul to sign necessary documents for my reservation. After finishing up the Rep informed me that they did not have the truck I reserved available. The Rep informed that someone still has the truck out and that I would have to wait. I had to call the movers that were already in route to my home to try to reschedule. Since they are paid by the hour and my time slot was already reserved they could not push it back and the clock started once they arrived on site. So while still waiting on U-Haul I was losing money with the movers. After waiting U-Haul finally offered another size truck. I was willing to take anything at that point. I got the truck and did a quick inspection and took a photo of the gas needle. I later returned the truck and took a picture where I parked it the key drop box and the gas needle back in its original place. Although getting a late start I was still able to get moved and on the road as planned that night. The following morning U-Haul called me to ask when I would be able to return the truck. Now being in an entirely different state you can only imagine how I felt to hear the Rep say they did not have their truck back. I informed the Rep that I parked their truck back on their lot last night. He puts me on hold. Then comes back and say we can't find your keys. I told him that I have pictures of me returning it. He placed me on hold again and then comes back to apologize informing that and worker had them. Later that morning I received a bill from U-Haul charging me for gas. I instantly called that location and waited on hold for an hour. Finally a Rep comes on the line and I discussed with her everything I have already been through with U-Haul and then the recent charges. I informed her that I had photos and that there has to be a mixup with the trucks. Since I was already in another state she told me I could email her my photos. I do that and then she puts me on hold to reach out to the local store and she informed that the Rep from that location said he would not accept the emailed pictures from her that I had to bring them in person. Again having relocated to another state that was not an option as it would have cost me to be out even more money from this entire nightmare experience.Lequoia P.

The trailer car carrier was very very very greasy. I had to take it to a car wash so I can use it and still gotten dirty afterall. It appears it was pulled by a diesel truck that was spilling oil all over the trailer. On the way back had a double tire blowout which delayed my time and could not return it on time. If a reservation is made for a storage unit, you should have a storage unit available. We drove all the way from another state and there was no unit available even though we had a reservation. The man working at the counter said the manager would deduct the cost of 1 months rent from our one way truck rental to make up for it, but now I cannot get anyone on the phone to discuss it.ENOCH B.

Have a full tank of gas. My rental had barely more than 1/4 tank. First thing I had to do was get gas. It seems these partial tanks are a good way to have trucks returned with more gas than was in them at the time of rental. The associate did point out how to gage how much gas is needed, but it would be easier on everyone if trucks came with a full tankSusan H.

Location was understaffed for check in and check out. Also the trailer had some dents that were not noted on the photos when you have to check that everything is in good condition from your phone. Internet was seriously lacking at that location to finish your check in from phone and check out. Employees even had an issue when checking equipment back in. Overall decent experience. I was able to reserve while I was standing in the line from my phone; but couldn't finish the process because of internet signal in the location, and then not having a good connection to connect to.Asiya S.

I paid my rental from a reoccurring auto banking check from my bank from the first payment to the last, roughly a year and a half. Every three or four months I received a late payment notices. The first time, I called the facility to correct it. Then I would go to the facility to impress upon them the need to correct the problems causing me to receive the notices. I continued to receive late payment notices after I was told it wouldn't happen again. The straw that broke the camel's back was a "Pre-Lien Notice". This is my second rental from this location that has something very wrong with it. First time the mirrors were broken, now the blinkers didn't work. Also, my car got hit in the parking lotâ€” yes I understand they don't take responsibility/liability for damage but would have appreciated a call after what had to be a very loud crash. Staff was very slow. I understand some staff members were being trained but the pace of work was excruciating - I had to wait an hour to get moved into my storage unit after having made a reservation online with all necessary information. This was with no line and only 2-3 other customers for the entire time, and then was sold a lock that cost $15 that was not the typical lock used. Other lock and key locks only cost $5 or less by the front desk worker recommended the most expensive one that wasn't even secure.Alice C. | First Impressions
I was dissatisfied with the explanation of the card entry for every visit. The representative that showed us the unit did not explain the card entry very well until asked. She said to just swipe the card but did not mentioned we would be locked out if done incorrectly or not done at all on my second visit I was locked out of the facility. I called customer service to assist and of course they couldn’t help me get in because an on site manager had to be present. Because of this, I returned my uhaul truck late which I was charged extra and had to re load all my belongings I had un loaded on the dock. This was Sunday after hours and the office was closed. Customer service had called the onsite manager but she did not answer. The card entry process should have been better explained. Everything with the facility was fine. Up until my card was charged twice when I moved out. I get the $50 fee for them cutting the lock. But, I was told I didn't need to sign anything. I didn't have to take pictures, & I would be emailed my move out letter. I don't recall seeing that email, but was billed twice. I can't get in contact with no one at the facility. An email was sent by customer service,and yet I haven't heard anything back as it pertains to a refund. After two year, and about three months. First off, I came in there to get a storage. I bought a lock "from them" Went to make my first payment and my payment was double. I begin to dispute the charges, no one could help me. I came back the next day with my husband and we were told they had to cut the lock because we did lock the storage door right, and it was open so they charged us to cut the lock. A complete lie because my husband and I checked the door before we left. The conclusion came to, we can take off the price for the lock but still have to charge an additional $50 for cutting the lock. Um, we bought the lock from them so they didn't do anything in our favor. And, no one did not put in notes that we cancelled our storage so I received an email stating I would be charged $15 late fee when we had already moved out of their storage two weeks prior to me getting the email.
