I rented a tow car dolly from the Regency location. The parking and drive is very tight with no room to turn around. I have discovered this to be true at many u-haul locations. The wheel straps were not put on well. Part way through my journey one came off the wheel. Thank God we saw it before something awful happened. The chain on the tow dolly was wrapped around the frame and the employees were not able to release it. They sent me to another location to have it fixed.Cheryl S.

When a client pays for a rental of equipment ( I.e. a dolly, furniture pads etc.), it's a good idea to make sure that they are in the truck. When I got my rental there was absolutely none of my equipment in the truck that caused a serious delay on my move and I will have to spend MORE money to rent a truck and equipment at another business. I have never had this problem at any other of the U-Haul locations in Jacksonville and I can safely say that I will never be using this one again.CAMERON V.

The 1st time I used U haul I was treated fairly. But when I used the location Jax Fla on 9411 Atlantic Blvd both times i was overcharged. I really feel like the people who run that location are crooks and cannot be trusted I was taken advantage by them 2 times. I should have learned the first time. They have an issue with the online system allowing people to reserve units that are not available. The truck I rented had a very strong odor of cigarette smoke. As a former smoker, this is one of the most annoying smells know to mankind. This is the second truck that I have rented for U-Haul with this odor. U-Haul: PLEASE find a deodorant that can be sprayed into your equipment to eliminate cigarette odor. Charge a Large fee for those who think they must smoke while inside your equipment. It could be YOUR employees!Gary D.

The elevator has been broken for weeks - and of course our unit is at one end of building B and the the broken elevator was at our end so we had to walk the entire length of the building to use a functional elevator - i was told for weeks "the part has been ordered" - i called AHEAD OF TIME and I asked how high the clearance was on canopied area - was told the wrong height/ 1 truck had to back all the way around the building 2xRADIUS S. | Overall Experience

I removed all of my items out of storage because I had a couple of boxes of glassware that was broken when I went back to my storage and alot of these items that are now garbage can't be replaced and I tried to file a claim since I had insurance and I was was never notified back. I was there at 2:15. And couldn't start storing my things till 5. The customer service was horrible. I wasnt given all the information regarding sign in at the time of my reservation. He kept making run to my car and I kept losing my spot I. Line. I had a car port and was never told I needed the 20 in cash to remove it. Again another 3 and have hours and still could not store my stuff. Before he removed the car port I had to go find and Atm which has caused me over $5.00 in fees to get the 20. I arrive back at 4:50 to give him the cash. At 5 I finally got to store my things. Then he forgot to give my the code and I had to go back to get it. Because it was near closings time. Then I finally wme to go back to finish. All in all a simple 2 hour move in took me 5 hours. Very unsatisfied. The U-Haul was parked up on a curb and unaccessible due to location and people placing stuff in their storage locker. The U-Haul employee ended up helping after I went to inquire about it. After having a HORRIBLE experience with my guaranteed truck not being available at my previous location, this was just an extra annoyance. Helper was nice though.Skyler H.

Renting was easy. The attendant was friendly, helpful, caring and attentive. He wore a face mask and used innovative techniques to protect us both from COVID. He was everything I would want. The return was after hours so I came in the next morning to ask to have the actual mileage recalculated. This Monday morning attendant was RUDE, unfriendly, NO MASK, and everything negative. Service seems fine but the facility itself is small and cluttered with to many trucks hard to manuver a bigger truck when all the other trucks on property are blocking the storages outside. Great customer service during the rental. JT (maybe it was JR) was exceptionally competent and professional. My only critique was on the return, there was already a van parked under the green awning. Can't blame that renterâ€”he followed the instructions. I parked behind him. If I'd been third, I'd have blocked the gate for any other returns or people trying to access the storage area. You probably want to change the instructions to have folks pull through after hours and park along the side, because otherwise, you can only have maybe two returns before things get jammed up. I was very disappointed w/ the facility when I arrived to collect my belongings after two years in storage. I was paying for “climate controlled” storage and I found many of my items covered w/ mold and mildew. In Florida I do not consider 82 degrees adequate to fully protect items in storage. You are perpetrating a hoax on the public by maintaining an 82 degree climate controlled storage unit. I paid almost $4800.00 for proper climate control and still had to have much of my stuff sanitized.
