The hitch installation was ok but the wiring installation wa not good When the trailer was hooked up the running lights and brake lights didn't work I had to hire someone to come and fix it costing me an additional $200 and I had paid the usual location in Rome $194 for the wiringKaren T.

Kim, the â€œgeneral managerâ€, was visibly very frustrated when I came in at 9:15 am, and acted like she didn't want to do her job. She questioned me about what I had ordered online, and ended up causing me to cancel a few of the items I had requested formerly. I felt like she was annoyed by having to put just a tow dolly, appliance dolly, and 2 packs of furniture pads on the truck for me. I even walked over and helped her, and afterwards she just walked off without saying a word, so I assumed I was good and left. She's very rude. When I brought the truck back, Jennifer was the total opposite, and was very nice. Hopefully, Jennifer is working the next time I need to rent a uhaul.Robert M.

Our original pickup location was â€œupdatedâ€ via an email notification to another location in Rome, Ga on Broad Street. When we arrived at the Broad St. location at 9 AM, the front door was padlocked and no one was there, nor would they answer their phone. After waiting 30 minutes, no one ever showed up to open. In the meantime we had called our original Shorter Avenue pickup location to see if they had a truck. He said they didn't have one for one way, which was frustrating since we had had our reservation there for at least 2 weeks. We finally got through to the North Atlanta operations center. When she checked the original Shorter Avenue location it showed a 15 foot truck available. When she called them, they said they had said it was unavailable because it needed to be cleaned. Keep in mind we had driven from NC to get it. We had to get our moving help (arranged through Uhaul) to wait on the side of the road while we were trying to get all this resolved. The person we dealt with at the Shorter location was rude and defensive. The van was not very clean as we found a pack of cigarettes and lighter on the floor. Based on this experience, we do not plan to use Uhaul again.Anthony H.

I love the new store layout. I came in to rent a truck but didn't have a major credit card, just the usual uhaul deposit. Good thing because the truck wouldn't have been big enough. Kym was excellent! Got me set up with a small moving truck and had me out the door. She remembered me when I came back in and dealt with the line steadily but efficiently. She was the highlight of my day, actually. I always rent uhaul because they're more flexible and cheaper than the big box stores.Dena L.

Way to expensive per mile. Way to hard to get in and out of location. Website not up to date. Reserved larger truck, when we arrived it wasn't available. Lady was not friendly at all when picking up. Was not told about the Dolly and blanket in the truck already. Took up space that I needed! What happened to unlimited mileage? Was not told that until later. Hire a new manager for the Shorter Avenue location in Rome, Georgia. I had a pickup scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on 7/4/2022. They were open until 5:00 p.m. that day even though it was a holiday. When I arrived at 4:52 p.m. the door was locked. I knocked several times and attempted to call the location as well, without success. When I finally heard from someone it was at 5:15 p.m. and she stated she was at the location when I was. She said she didn't lock the door until 4:57. Which was still before closing time. She also stated that the website shouldn't have let me schedule a pickup at 5:00 p.m. There are multiple bad reviews about this specific manager at this location.TYLER L.

Upon picking up, I brought it to the Uhaul representatives attention that I needed the trailer for 8 hours. Which would have been around 7:30 PM. She said it would be fine. I returned the trailer around 7:45 PM that evening. I was charged additional fees for this. Uhaul gets worse every time I use you guys.Matthew S.

Kym, the owner, was mean and rude from the moment I arrived to pick up the van. The van was dirty on the exterior and interior and didn't match the photos on the check in. Using an app or website for checkin and out is NOT customer service friendly. At night, upon returning the vehicle, the location barcode was not posted where the online instructions said it would be so I was wandering around a dark parking lot around construction debris looking for a tiny barcode that was actually on the front door. They told me I could return it after hours with no problem. When I went to pick it up I got there 10 minutes before my rental time and waited for 20 minutes for someone to wait on me. I was then informed I had 45 minutes to return the truck or would be charged a late fee and possibly a penalty. I told them that I had reserved the truck for two hours and never advised of that. He also tried to sell me insurance and when I declined he saidâ€ well ok, good luck. Hope that works out for you.â€ Then when he told me hat if the truck wasn't returned in 45 minutes that I had to check it in online. He said â€œ maybe one of your kids who is more internet savvy than you can help you.â€ Then when I returned the truck 8 minutes after closing I tried to check it in online but your website wouldn't locate me. So I had to get up and drive across town to be there at 7am to return the key. I will NEVER EVER rent from this place again. Poor customer service. Ridiculous rules. I have rented UHAULS multiple times in the last few months bc I lost everything in an apartment fire but this place is the worst business I have ever seenJOANNA U.

Uhaul customer service is soo bad. Really disappointed because of the Calhoun location. I reserved a 26' truck on 23rd April 2022 at Gordon County storage. I went there to pick up my truck but they didn't give me the key even after 1 hour of wait. They were not there even in the working hour. The unit did have a small leak. We didn't realize it until we started trying to get to some of our stuff. We dried most of it off & put it in different boxes or just brought it home. One item that got damaged but, that we can't really put a price on, is a computer "shipping container/box". So, we just let the facility know so that ithe unit can get repaired.
