Maria U1) Trailer came off hitch within one mile of leaving Uhaul. It was connected by Uhaul employee. 2) Left taillight was out. Technician had me turn on hazards and the said I was good to go.

michelle rThe check out experience was completely disappointing. The store should not offer pick up times when they are not open. Wasted almost thirty minutes of my reservation time trying to figure out what to do and almost just left. Aside from that, it was cold and I was not prepared to be outside to have to take photos of the truck and go on a scavenger hunt for the key box. Aside from that, why tell people to locate the truck first in the app instructions to check out, and then go get the key, totally backwards. Makes no sense to find the truck and not have the key yet.

The vehicle outside receiver was nice.I did talk to male about truck return and he was an asshole...I told him my movers bailed and I was scrambling to find others...He was unsympathetic and kept threatening me late charges and fees.He even stayed if I didn't bring the back by a certain time and in a certain condition, he would inflict penalties...My movers at the last minute, I was trying the best I could.I even called in to inform Uhaul what was happening...While I know this doesn't reflect Uhaul overall, I won't use the location again...

ALAN BOn the return, I wasn't sure where to leave it, so I left in the pickup and return area in front of store. However, when removing trailer from my truck, the incline allowed trailer to roll backwards. There may have been something mentioned of blocking the tires, but I may have overlooked it.

ROY ASebastian was the one who actually helped me attach the trailer to my wife's truck. We started with a 2 5/8" hitch, but needed a 2" with a 7" drop. Sebastian suggested a U-Haul hitch that could work. After installing it, some manager or supervisor came over and immediately said, "That's not going to work," offering no help, no suggestions—just criticism.Sebastian stayed calm and suggested we check inside for other options. That's when we found the B&W brand. Sebastian pointed out they were solid and would easily do the job. He recommended the biggest one, since it was going on my wife's truck. I bought it, and now my wife absolutely loves her new hitch.If it weren't for Sebastian, this would've been a total waste of time. The manager's attitude was useless and unprofessional. This prevented us from being able to use a dolly to lift appliances on to the trailer because a) the wheels of the dolly and the gate met well above the midpoint of the tire and b) the gate lifted with the appliance and dolly. We had to take the appliance off the dolly and lift or tilt it on the gate, manually lift the appliance and the shimmy the appliance back and try not to get stuck in the gap. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

ROBERT DWhen calling to adjust my reservation time the person I spoke with was rude and very unprofessional. Putting the phone on "hold" and proceeding to speak with other people instead of helping me with the quick request. There was no instructions of where and how to access the keys. When trying to locate the correct truck, we found a bong in one of them and they were very unclean. After returning the truck, we received a phone call the next day from the owner who very rudely asked where the lock for the truck was. We followed the instructions and placed it in the glovebox. I'm very disappointed in this and will not recommend this location to anyone.

MICHAEL K | Overall ExperienceI’m extremely disappointed with my recent U-Haul rental experience and am hoping this message reaches corporate for a proper resolution. I dropped off my U-Haul early at the designated location and followed all instructions. The staff on site told me to leave the truck there and that they would handle the rest. Thankfully, I took clear photos of the odometer at both pickup and drop-off, along with location and time stamps from my phone — solid proof of when and where the vehicle was returned. Despite this, I was later charged for extra miles that I clearly did not use. The invoice provided lists a return time and mileage that do not align with my actual drop-off time or the evidence I submitted. I had more than enough unused miles, and it makes absolutely no sense to be billed for overages. I have submitted a dispute twice, including photographic proof with time and GPS metadata, and even requested that they review their surveillance footage — yet the issue has not been resolved, and my claim was unfairly denied. This is frustrating and feels like a complete disregard of customer evidence and concerns. This is not just an error — it’s a matter of accountability and customer trust. I am urging U-Haul corporate to step in, review the evidence I’ve provided, and investigate the handling of this drop-off. I trusted U-Haul with my move; I now ask U-Haul to do right by its customer.

GLENN CTake care of one customer at a time. My time is just as valuable as the next person who came after me. She took care of three other customers who came in after me and left me waiting to complete the process. Also, there was not enough gas in the truck to get to our destination. Horrible experience!

I returned my trailer early on the 17th, it was due by the 19th and was charged a late fee on the 20th. I visited location on the 20th and they looked up my contract. The customer service in the phone advised me that the large unit I booked was NOT included because of the size of truck I rented. This was totally incorrect! The local rep helped me correct this and I was so appreciative!!

DANIEL OToday I dropped off a U-Haul truck and this location basically scammed us. When we picked up the truck the gas level was between 3/8 and 1/2. We brought it back at almost 1/2 which is more than what was in there when we picked it up. After completing my return, I get a text and email showing the gas level below 3/8 and they charged me for fuel which was $27. I called and the person on the phone made all kinds of excuses for charging me but none of them made sense. He said nothing about refunding the money they basically stole from me. He also stated that the pickup location must have had the gas level wrong in their system which is the reason they likely charged me, which is a blatant lie. Then he stated you can call and talk to the manager tomorrow. I will be calling and calling corporate. How dare you lie and steal money from customers. This is despicable behavior. I have used this location several times in the past but I won’t be using them anymore. What can you do better maybe stop lying and scamming your customers.

ALEJANDRO DMessage to Pflugerville location U-Haul store manager: U-Haul 2 Granbury location employees informed me if return the trailer in Pflugerville location rate will be cheaper ($50 something dollars versus over $90 I’m supposed to pay I return it Leander or anywhere else). Information they saw in their computer. I asked them why it will be cheaper and they said Pflugerville location could have a low number of trailers and it balance out the distribution of the trailers. But after I returned the trailer in Pflugerville location and received the receipt it still charged me with the original rate. Overall employees were helpful but down side me taking the trailer for expecting cheaper rate when I could have dropped it off closer.

Upon returning the trailer, I was explicitly told by an employee that I did not require a receipt and that I was "good to go." However, after several days passed without receiving the expected email confirmation of the trailer's return, I became concerned. My attempts to contact the Pflugerville location directly via phone proved unsuccessful, as my calls went unanswered. Seeking resolution, I reached out to the Spring Cypress location, hoping they could shed some light on the status of my rental. To my surprise and disappointment, they informed me that the trailer had not yet been processed as returned in their system, despite being physically returned two days prior.
Braden RRATS!! They knew of the infestation issue with these nasty creatures! Even had a RAT bait box inside the unit I was issued. I had about half of a 3 bedroom house unloaded in unit. Came back the following day and there were tons more RAT droppings around the bait box. Then I looked up to my right side and the huge RAT was sitting on top the separation walls staring at me. So had to spend the rest the day loading up the truck and finding another location. When I was finally brought back the truck and explained the situation the GM tried to brush me off several times stating they didn’t have a rat problem but after I caught him in his own web of words. He finally admitted they had an infestation of RATS due to another customer stored 1000 pounds of rice in the unit I was supposedly to rent. Any how I asked from the GM to at least take a day off and 20 miles and nothing……………………IF YOU DONT WANT RATS ALL OVER YOUR BELONGINGS DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

For $185/mon there should have been better pest control. The staff was always friendly, however, what you guys charge for an outdoor storage unit is insane. I moved my unit to a much more affordable one which is climate controled for almost half the price I was paying.

I understand the location is short on space, but there was 4-5 oversized parking spaces for the rental vehicles not being utilized. Had my items been any larger than they were, I would not have been able to get out in any direction as the largest gap between the vehicles was about 3, 3 1/2 feet. As I specifically rented a “drive-up” space, I didn’t understand their utilization of space, or lack thereof.

The second time, the staff member was extremely rude and said there was no way they would ask the person to move their trailer that stuck out blocking the loading steps because they had 'paid' and were within the fire lane. I was planning on keeping the unit longer, and after this rude employee, I pulled everything.

I eventually figured out that I had to “check-in” at the special “check-in/check-out” keypad before inputting my number. I also didn’t know that we wouldn’t have access to the sliding door after hours.

Staff did not offer insurance at sign up and we thought we had coverage. Thousands of dollars of valuable collectible guitars and long guns. I was told afterwards by a staff person it was an inside job and if you are seen putting in instrument and gun cases you were a target. The manager was sleeping in her house a few feet from our unit during the burglary - she told me she heard the alarm but just went back to sleep !!!!! The detective told me they stole a truck to use and knew all the codes. Extremely upsetting as our grandmothers valuable guitar was just one loss and irreplaceable. The staff could care less at the time / no phone call - nothing. Then to add insult to injury when we came almost 4years later to move out we saw that a long standing roof leak and damaged much of our goods in the back of the unit. Since our whole 3209 sq ft house contents was in the unit we could not see this damage until we began to move out. Again no concern or call from the staff - but they did call a roof repair immediately. (Why was roof not inspected over the years?). Barbara told me we should have inspected the unit - this was never mentioned when we signed up. A bad experience and definitely would never use again or recommend to friends or family.

I mentioned it to the front desk when I discovered it, but it was not corrected by the time I moved out. Staff was always very helpful and I had ni issues with the safety of my items. (I had my unit for many years.)

Most of the time they have the sliding doors locked and you're having to pull your stuff out of a single door.The hallways are dirty and not cleaned along with the moving carts being filthy. Staff access your storage and then throw the things away.This was the worse experience ever. DONT GO HERE

When I went into the office to let them know the unit was empty and to close out my storage unit, I mentioned the bathroom door again and was told , again very dismissively, there’s bother we can do, except make a work order.

If you rent a 5 foot unit you expect it to be 5 feet wide to get into it. The entrance was ridiculously narrow. Also it was very unclear how we retrieved the key to lock the unit. I got there the day I said I would but there was a zip tie on the door. I never received Instructions on how to open it or how to get the key. When leaving we had no idea how to get out since the gate it also closed from the outside. I had to get out of the car and go open the gate from the outside then drive through. We canceled our rental the next day and got a refund. I went to another facility that was a much smoother process.

I asked if I could return it there and she said no because they weren’t accepting trailers. She shrugged her shoulders and said it’s hit and miss. Note: I had rented a unit the prior weekend and received the one month discount even though I didn’t return the trailer there.
M M | Online Move InThey did not make sure the unit was ready to be rented. The wire protection cover was on the floor the light bulb was broken off in the fixture exposing the inside of the bulb. When I asked to have it replaced before moving my belongings into the unit I was told that there was no one to do it. They did not offer to give me a different unit that didn’t have this issue. I had scheduled moving help by the hour with U-Haul and had move into the unit that day at that time. I received an email asking me to rate the storage facility that evening and then I received a text message to rate the facility. I thought I would call the manager who’s name was on the e-mail and text message to see what he do about the situation before I wrote the review/rating. I called the next day and spoke to the manager. Instead of apologizing for the situation or trying to correct it. He just said the maintenance crew was only there Monday to Friday till 11am and for me to come at that time to have it fixed. When I told him that half of the unit would have to be unloaded now for it to be fixed he then told me that U-Haul was removing all the lights inside the units and that they no longer felt lighting was necessary. So I could come at the time he told me to have it fixed. But I guess it was my problem about moving my belongings in order for maintenance to so. He claimed no responsibility to the fact that he rented me the unit with this issue and that now it was my problem not his. This is an inside unit not an outside unit that when you open the door you have the daylight to be able to see while in the unit. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service by the unit having this issue and not rental ready and no customer service at the time of move in or after the move in to take care of it. But l was notified 3 times to write a review and rate the facility. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND.

I input the reservation number for the trailer that my husband made for the trailer and it said it was invalid. He did rent the trailer. When he asked your employee about it in the store when renting the trailer, she replied with "I've literally never heard of that, we don't have any discounts, your rent is 89.95 a month, do you want it?" Not only was this not what your website told me when I rented it but it was extremely rude. Then when he returned the trailer the employee checking it is came around on a skateboard and said they didn't have a trailer scheduled to come back to which he replied, oh well I don't make enough f*ing money to care, it will be my managers problem. Overall the website was great minus the little hiccup, the staff was rude and extremely unprofessional.

While the employee was very friendly and helpful once we were able to engage with her, there was a long line when we first got in, which continue to grow while we were there. She did not address the people in line let us know that she would be with us monetarily. It does seem as though she could’ve use some additional assistance, or just being more responsive to a line forming. She informed us that our unit should have put a lock in it, but there was no lock. When we went back to let her know this, she was still with another group and there was still a long line, so we gave up. An increase of situational awareness could’ve helped the situation.

Oh yes, Even though the very desirable covered RV sites will be rented quickly, no rebate for time unused even when rented to another customer the next day. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth!
