Equipment should have a full tank of gas when picking up and truck should be actually ready once they tell the customer it is ready. Uhaul lacks customer service and consideration for customers. I will never use Uhaul again.

The location was convenient to my home. The clerks that checked me in and out were wonderful. The van smelled like a barnyard and the seats were covered with animal hair. There was broken glass in the corner.

Mgr was nice but most of employees were not. Then i was told I would not be charged extra day due to circumstances but then was auto charged for two days which I did not approve so it overdrew my acct and I was charged 34.00 extra but was only given back the extra day charge even tho there was documentation in the file not to charge.

Reserved a truck online only to watch it get rented out to the customer in front of me in line. They scrambled and found one that had been returned late the night before and wasn't checked in. No big deal, still got a truck. Quick move, had it back in a few hours. Nice gentleman came out and checked it in. Easy. Got my invoice emailed to me, a little more than expected after they tack on all the fees ($15 for a .1 of a gallon of gas, drove it a total of 8 miles). At this point still happy. Next day, get another charge for $300. Call the facility and was told it was an error and would be corrected. A few days go by, still hasn't been resolved. I call back to inquire and leave a message for somebody to call me back... nothing. Try again the next day, same thing... nothing. Went to the store Sunday and found out the charge is for damage. Nice gentleman employee says it should be covered because I bought the insurance, looked it up online myself, nope. Overhead damage not covered by the basic insurance. I was told only the manager (Katie) can resolve this and she would be in Monday (today). Called the main line and was on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up. Called the manager cell number and have left two voicemails with no response. Do not use them at all costs, witnessed other customers having issues while standing in line both times. Should've walked out when I had the chance.

The Team member at the desk was well informed and was expecting me. A very nice demeanor - friendly and courteous. He did a great job hooking up the trailer and checking lights with me. Trailer worked well - no issues. Staff present when I dropped off the trailer were equally nice and well trained. Only one improvement I could make - Make your sign on the corner larger so people know where to turn. I was confused about the pickup place because my navigation took me to a location on Sunrise avenue that was a divided road. If the sign for Pickup and drop off was larger (the one on the corner of Sunrise and Oak Ridge Dr). That would have made this experience perfect.

Get your online service working right. Drop off took forever. Online contract read incorrect milage,said the teading from the truck that i gave was less than when picked up. Also fuel was inputted at 1/2 tank when there was only 1/4 tank when i picked it up. These issues caused me to spend about 2 hours at drop off after a long day working.

This storage unit is about 3 hours away from where we're moving from. We decided to check in online because we knew we'd get there late. Having the access code would have been extremely convenient for us had it worked. We got there WITHIN the unit access hours but after the staff had left. Customer service over the phone and chat has absolutely no ability to help you with literally anything because even though it's uhaul, from the website, and the number is on the facility door, they're separate from them and can not help I any way shape or form. Alls the woman on the phone kept saying was, "this facility probably hasn't set up 24hr access." I said, "it says 24hr access right above the security box...it's 8pm..." and alls I kept getting after that was, "there's nothing I can do." It was literally our only available day to move our belongings and we had no other option. Luckily, a very nice woman who was accessing her unit let us in and helped us move inside. So all in all, this facility might be amazing, but holy smokes did the virtual customer service stink! I've contacted CS over chat before and they've been able to help, but little did I know they aren't connected to certain facilities in any way! Why in the world even have a 24/hr CS team if they literally can't do anything? The point of the code was to be able to access our unit contact-free on our own time. No where did it say it wasn't going to work! Make it known on your site that your having trouble with access codes or give more ability to help customers to your CS department.

I've had a series of issues with my last rental from this location. I did receive a call with details about a refund, but have yet to see the credit and since have been charged even more money to make the issue even worse. I've emailed since and called several times but have not been able to speak to anyone.

I was told to go to 3 different locations to pickup the truck and each time I had to drive 30 min to find out the truck is not there. The locations were as follows: Weimar Ca, El Camino , Sac Ca and Sunrise Ave Roseville. I would like to get at least $200 credit to my Credit card for all the STRESS & time and gas money I spent.

We moved out on September 21. Although we notified the staff and left the units clean and open, we received three separate bills after that one for each unit. This was very disturbing. We called and were told by Customer Service that it would not happen. It did anyway. I would have given an Excellent rating had this billing nightmare not happened.

Katherin was very helpful. She saved the day. However someone from a different store cancelled my reservation and said I could not get one for two days. That was unacceptable and thank God katherin got me one . The truck had a shimmy. But we made it ok.🙏😃

I was charged for miles that was uhaul mistake and had paperwork signed from pick up location that it was there mistake and location still charged me for miles and this location was far from my house that I requested for drop off and my reservations were changed to Carson city and hour away from my home and original reservation so had to pay way more gas and miles then charged for more miles for your mistake. I have been on hold for locations and being sent around different places for well over two hours in total this has been the worst experience I have ever had moving. And every person that I talk to can't help and send me to someone else

Had no idea the rates for the mileage has gone up so much. I've been using UHaul for years and $66 mileage charge for using the truck just 2 hours is crazy to me. I believe it was like 89 cents a mile. I understand it's a business but I don't know if I just got a bad rate from that specific location, or if that's the going rate for everyone. Besides that truck worked out for moving a couch from roseville to Elk Grove.

Everything was excellent! The employees were very friendly and very helpful. I feel bad that they have to deal with crappy wifi. What should of took a couple minutes.. Was longer and you could feel the frustration of the employee wanting to be able to help you faster. Get the internet upgraded and they could do their job even better then they are now! Great service! Great experience..

Check the vehicles more thoroughly. Had a blow out on the freeway which took 3 hours for the tire to get changed.. Ended up having to wait for 3 hours and had more expenses because of it. The check in was down on my phone too which made whole process more difficult..

I know it's no fault to the employee but I had a one-way truck reserved over a month in advance and when I come to pick it up, my truck is not available. The person before me was not answering and was already hours late. I was then turned to another uhaul for an expected truck delivery at 6 so I go there after driving across the city and find out that truck is late as well and then the roseville location has a truck (not my original truck) available for one-way travel. Again, I don't blame the employees but I don't understand how my reservation is dependent on other customers, especially after I informed that this other customer had a history with late returns. Thankfully this other truck had arrived or else my family would have flown up for no reason, my move and residency would have had to change and I would have been stranded... but at least they said sorry...

Truck bed was extremely dirty, had a shattered beer bottle and smell like roadkill in the bed while the cabin had an overwhelming cigarette smell. Service in the office was good and helpful. Equipment does not appear to get cleaned ever.

I reserved a ground level unit with a credit card and then called 2 days prior to moving to ensure there is a ground level unit available, and was told that YES a ground level unit available to me. When I arrived there was no ground level unit and it took me twice as long to move in. I couldn't go anywhere else because I was on a strict time-line and felt like I was basically taken advantage of. I am currently looking to move my stuff out after only one day in storage due to the lies this company told me. Would not recommend this place to anyone for anything

I originally reserved my Uhaul for pick-up at the lodi ca location. I received a phone call the day prior to pick-up saying the closest location for a 26 foot truck was Roseville Ca. I was then told the miles would be deducted however I feel as though the fuel from the Roseville location to the Lodi location should be deducted as well. It is a 50 mile difference and the Uhaul averages 5.5 miles to the gallon.

Yes I was falsely charged for my mileage. Claimed I drove 105 miles when my house is 13 miles away and I drove to my house, to my self storage (2 miles away from my house), back to my house, then to my apartment which is on the way back to the uhaul building dropoff for a total of less than 40 miles. I seriously believe the odometer was tampered with.

When I reserved my truck at a location 5 mins. from my home I asked what time they opened and told them I would be there to pick it up. Over the next 3 days until they pick the location to pick it up changed 3 times. Not good. Plus I reserved a 26 ft truck and ended up with a 20ft truck. I was not thrilled with this experience

After I completed the car inspection for trailer rental, the Sunrise store did not have a trailer that was compatible for my car -- lights did not work. I was told to purchase an adaptor at the car inspection, and the lights checked out at the inspection. At the Sunrise store I was told my car was the issue and that I could drive 1 hour to try and rent another trailer. I said no and asked for a truck. They provided me a truck that was dirty, smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and had a tire that would not hold air. It could of been a very unsafe and dangerous trip for me as I was driving to Boise Idaho. I was told to call roadside service -- nice helpful people, but it would take over 1.5 hours for someone to come to our location and then there was not guarantee the tire would be fixed. I asked to rent another truck and had to unload the first truck and reload the 2nd truck. We left 3 hours late from our schedule.

I would recommend helping the employees to upgrade their internet or computer equipment. They have ran into issues multiple times when I’ve gone in for a purchase, all due to computer issues. It is clearly really stressful for them, especially because customers get frustrated about having to wait while their computers continue to have problems & respond slowly. I think it would not only help the employees but increase customer satisfaction! I’ve interacted with 5 + employees at this location & found them all the be professional, kind & helpful!

The reservation system is crazy—I wanted to just talk to the location I chose to ask what trailer size they had. Instead I ended up having to drive to Roseville to pick up a trailer when I could have rented a different size trailer at the El Camino shop. The guy at the Roseville shop was nice but his computer kept crashing. Took us 15 minutes. Then when the trailer lights did not connect; he had no suggestions. I finally got them to work but then only sporadically.

Have the equipment available! The trailer I reserved was not available so I had to rent a smaller trailer that required two very long trips. I was unable to complete the move in one day and had to pay an extra day for the help I hired.

I was quoted one price, but paid and entirely different price. 79 originally for the rental, 20 for equiptment and blankets, and then two additional days at 40 a day, somehow my bill was over 500$!

There were only 2 people working the counter when the store opened at 9 on a Sunday morning ....I was 6th in line and took 45 minutes to help the 5 people in front of me....it took over an hour to leave with a truck I reserved and had done the precheck in including uploading photos of my drivers license. The truck smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The two guys at the counter were doing their best to handle everyone as quickly as possible, I think staffing was my main concern.

Reserved equipment was unavailable. Representative was not interested in offering alternatives. It was only after my asking, we settled on a smaller and inconvenient replacement. I understand the representative was not responsible for the reservation not being met, but could have handled the interaction more successfully.

The customer service was excellent. I even had a rep remind me of my payment due date before it accrued a late charge which I truly appreciate given the hustle and bustle of my life. It truly meant a lot to me as a hard working single mom. When I moved in there were a LOT of leaks in the roof and I even had to change units before actually moving in due to water damage and leaks. Because of this I made sure to get the extra insurance coverage. I'm glad to say that while there were lots of leaks in the roof, thankfully my unit did not appear to have any water damage during the course of my rental agreement. I was also happy to see a lot more tenants moving in while I was moving out. So nice to see a small business thrive!

Same exact treatment you get when you rent something from U-Haul. Hopefully someone decides to bring in some responsible leadership, at that point they may be able to turn this facility around.

Publicize your box prices on the Internet. When I ran a search under "moving boxes", Home Depot was the lowest provider that came up in Sacramento. However, your prices are much lower. You should let people know about this fact.

Make sure the wiring outlet for towing a trailer is operable, we wasted 1 1/2 hours trying to find power to the outlet and finally found one wire with power so we had to take apart our harness so at least we would have running lights as we were driving at night. I specifically asked if we could tow a trailer with the truck and you would think someone would have checked it before it was released to me.

We moved ourselves 400 miles. We had to use two trucks and a trailer as well as a storage facility all from U-Haul. The moving process took us quite a while, partly because of COVID epidemic, but we successfully made the transition because of the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the dependable vehicles and solid packing materials, and the clean and secure storage facility, all from U-Haul. Thank you U-Haul!!

The manager at this location is so rude, zero customer service. What has happened to U-Haul? How is someone like this running a facility. If you have an issue to bad your dealing with corporate U-Haul it’s not my problem, you want help with storage to bad we don’t have time. Pay your money and take what we give you. if you don’t like it call a hotline in which no one answers. I will try my hardest never to use U-Haul again.

When I went in to set up my storage it was apparent that many of the staff members were not trained eventually somebody did come over and was able to help me it did take excessive amount of time everybody was very polite though. When I came just about a month later to close my account it was on Saturday it was a young girl working and a young man you could tell he wasn’t trained but he was polite but the girl seemed like she was inconvenienced after waiting a while I did leave came backWithin the hour and the young girl was in the restroom I could hear her talking on the phone I was waiting in line she came out of the restroom and was began texting on your phone and then eventually came over to help me other than the staffing everything else was great

The guy checking me in was so helpful on 2/10/2020 I had to come back and get a storage unit my move didn’t go as planned and he made it really easy!
