Colby was on duty. Assistant to the assistant manager. Very professional apologetic for my pickup treatment. A rising star in your organization. He is a keeper. He needs a rase. He sorted out the situation and assured me that U-Haul was good with the return condition of the trailer and I was good to go. I recommend you loose the sugarloaf location. A confirmed reservation means reserve my truck for the locations the reservation was made for. I wanted a 1 way reservation which you could not honor come time to pick up the truck and I was forced to agree to a 2-way rental and additional fees! Granted the customer service rep waived $20 off rental and included 200km, it still amounted to an inconvenience and the fact your company could not honor the original reservation! Have more staff on hand to support the volume of customers and reduce wait times for your customers and also ensure your staff are supported (there was 1 lady assigned to the desk and 1 gentleman outside for the last Sat of the month, being a major moving day). Fix your app: my contract said 1/4 tank gas, I filled up to 1/2 tank and then you want to charge me for gas upon returning the gas truck?!?Krys S.

Clean the trailer before renting them. The enclosed trailer I picked up today was filthy. I posted the dispute pictures of the dirt and damages. I did however was it before I returned tonight to which the lot guys thanked me. It cost me $12 dollars plus my time to clean the trailer. I only used in a dry area with no rain, snow, or mud. The weather was overcast but good. I feel like I was taken advantage of because of the dirty trailer and it becoming my problem. This rental should be refunded to me for customer good will.Thomas T.

Figure out a better way for fueling trucks. I had asked for a full tank on pick up. But was informed it was not policy. Was showed how to return with proper fuel amount from receipt. But that was bullshit. It still ended up with me filling the truck with fuel. Figure your fueling system out. Make it easy on renters. Rent the trucks wit a full tank, return with a full tank. Why do you need a cell phone to complete the rental agreement? Why can you only book one truck at a time? Why do you need two separate cell phones? Why have the gas so low when initially picking the truck up? If it was at least a half tank you might be able to know how much is used. We put more in the truck than we used. Went slightly over mileage, and way more gas to cover the difference. Charged for the extra mileage, no rebate for the extra fuel.Chris R.
I don't appreciate renting a moving van with less than a quarter tank of gas in it when I'm trying to get started with a full day. The van was in disrepair. Doors didn't close. The locking handle was not working smoothly. Given that I spent $200 for 8 hours, I think I got the short end of the deal. Not a great experience, will certainly be telling others to avoid.Andrew M.

The truck was not washed by prior user or Uhaul employeeâ€¦ there was mud at the bottom of the truck around the driver and passenger side. Took pictures so hope I am not held responsible for the dirty truck that I received from the location. The truck sounded like it had a thousand licence plates banging together in the glove box. Prob the plates from the heater core or something. But you couldn't even hear yourself think. The reservation process, which had nothing to do with the pickup site, was horrible. I reserved weeks in advance for a trailer at a pickup location 15 minutes away. Two days before pickup, I was notified I had to pick it up 1.5 hrs later at a location 30 minutes away. On the day of pickup, literally as I was getting ready to leave, I was called and notified I had to pick it up at this location - which is an hour away. As a result, our packing was delayed by hours. Arrived after hours so no option to speak to anyone, so had to do this all through the mobile check in. No lock with the unit, though I was told there was one. Luckily I brought my lock from my other storage unit so it worked out nicely. Would have been a huge pain if I didn't bring my lock. When returning the truck we almost dropped the keys in the key drop without reading the notice above the key drop, asking us to take pictures of the truck. There was no light on this area so we almost missed this VERY important/required step of the truck return process (this was about 11PM, so very dark). I use the storage unit for 6 years. In all that time I had only issues in the beginning with my automatic payment. It did take some time but they were resolved because of the diligence of the staff there. I did not choose to pay the extra fee to access my unit after 5 p.m. I felt the fees were high enough that that should be included. Like I said staff was great head office mediocre. I make a reservation two weeks in advance for a 26 foot truck. They didn't have any 26 foot so I ended up with a 20 ft that I got from Whitby. I am moving out of a 5 bedroom house and that was very inconvenient as we have to make multiple trips which takes longer. On top of that I rented a storage and was denied access at mins after 7pm. I called customer service they can't help. I got the managers number no answer. I am still stuck at m house with the truck full of my stuff because no access to the storage that I paid for.very disappointed 😒 😑 😔and I have to close the deal on my house today November 1st at 11:30, still stuck with a truck load in the driveway and I am not finish moving my stuff because of this. She didn’t hesitate and helped me! I was so grateful for her help. I called this location prior to booking the storage unit to confirm that I would qualify for the first month free and was told I would if I presented a reservation number for my uhaul truck rental. I also called the Ajax location prior to, as that one was closer to me, but they confirmed they aren’t running this promotion so I booked with this location instead. When I showed up at the counter to check-in I was declined the one month free and was told to pay the first month immediately. I had no choice as I was paying movers by the hour and we had already showed up at the location! So I paid but I will be putting in a complaint with head office and the better business bureau. Also, upon moving into the storage facility, I witnessed another storage unit owner going through their unit and laughing as a mouse ran out of one of the boxes. The storage unit was packed with junk so it comes as no surprise it would be harbouring rodents! This was the worse uhaul service I have ever received being a long time valued Uhaul customer. Brendon the staff at Oshawa location was not helpful but extremely rude. Even after having reserved a 10x15 storage at Oshawa location two weeks in advance of Apr 16, 2020, the Oshawa location did not have a unit. I had to go back and forth 1.5 hours due to Brandons incompetency. Furthermore, he insulted us in front of the other customers and kicked us out of the store. I will be escalating this to the top of Uhaul and cbc news channel. Additionally, this is the last time I'm doing business with Uhaul. I'll be also advising friends and family to not conduct business with any Uhaul location. There were crack users and meth dealers in the halls, people sleeping by my unit. This place was terrifying and no security. The company (a guy who worked there even found it amusing) he laughed and said ya look at all the crackheads..... I'm shocked and disappointed by this. My unit was broken into despite being sold a lock that " no one could breach" When I was called to be informed of this break in, i was told that my unit door was open and the unit was empty, the caller said " I assume you or a member of your family has emptied the unit".
