On multiple occasions, there was no one in the office when I arrived. When picking up a vehicle, this created delays that totaled nearly an hour when a reservation had already been made online. When dropping off it created confusion as to how I might be billed.

It was disappointing to turn in the equipment a whole day early with way more fuel than I picked up, and be hit with a mileage overage fee of $16. It seemed like I was being nickeled and dimed when I had rented a truck that was poorly maintained. I think some sort of reimbursement is appropriate.

Jade S.The agent that I made reservations with did not inform me that the person picking up the rental had to have their name on the paying credit card. Our driver had to use his own credit card, even though he was able to provide a confirmation number. This caused extra work on our end. This policy is poor and outdated.
susanne L.Although we had made our reservations well in advance, we had attempt three different locations to try to find a place that had both our trailer and our tow dolly. On Monday night, this was the one where we were guaranteed to have our equipment Tuesday morning. But on Tuesday morning, we could not get our tow dolly, because the equipment was broken and unsafe. We had to stop in the middle of the afternoon and come back for the tow dolly, and it was a question whether we would even get it that day or not We had booked weeks out; how was there nothing available?

Donald P.The first truck we were given would not run. The engine light was on and the truck would not drive. We were given another truck but our paperwork was not updated-the truck not checked by the agent. The second truck had just over 1/4 tank of gas. My husband had driven approximately 74 miles and had to stop and put gas in the truck. When we returned the truck in Addison, TX, we had put enough gas in the truck to ready a little over 1/3 tank yet we were charged $36.75 fuel charge.
Geronimo T.Perhaps have more help there. We had to wait to get the truck as there were two employees but one was on break. She was the one who had helped us the day before (reserving the truck) but didn't put any info into the system for the next employee to help us, so we had to wait for her to come back. Then when we returned, there was just one employee checking in trucks and running the inside. But overall, it was ok.

When I went there was only one person working and she was in a different area so the main doors were closed. I was confused because I had a reservation but then I found her by the drop off area. It was a lot for her to do by herself but she was very fast and helpful. She knew a lot about U-Haul equipment and got me on the road as fast as possible. If I hadn't made a reservation online with a pickup time at that location, I might have left and gone to a different U-Haul since it seemed like they were closed considering the doors were locked and no one was inside. I'm very glad I found the U-Haul representative and had a great experience from there. They were very friendly at this location.

I had to use the after hours drop, but for several days after, I kept getting notices to drop off the trailer even though I had already dropped it off! It would have been nice to have someone there to make sure I was doing everything right.

Jeff F.First of all, it took nearly 30 minutes to get someone to come to the office so that me and several others could pickup their vehicle. The girl was out on the property and no one was managing the office. We could have walked off with anything we wanted to! Also, the van smelled very strongly of cat pee. Obviously it was not properly cleaned. I have rented numerous times from UHaul and this was by far the worst experience.
Diane A.We were quoted/paid a price of about $800+ which included a local company bringing the containers to our home, off loading them and returning them to the hub. The delivery was scheduled for 2/26/22. We ended up changing the address and were then told it would be $500+. That didn't make sense, so we called Uhaul. We were told that the order for the off loading only but that the local company needed to correct the order. They referred us back to Uhaul and it was only after arguing with Uhaul and insisting that the total original order was all done through you, that the operator wanted to help. She said that to correct the order and add the delivery/return charge, she would have to cancel the first order and RE-input it. When she did this, that time slot was immediately booked by someone else and now we had to wait until 2/27/22. That would have been fine (although frustrating), but to go an extra 10 miles (and because it showed as a NEW last minute order) the price increased by $400+. Totally unacceptable. Although we have 2 more big moves in our near future, we will NOT use Uhaul. It is now more cost effective to go with PODS because of Uhaul's error. Very disappointed. We did, however, like the local help (Johnson movers).

MICHAEL N.The issue is not so much with the vehicle rental. It was the unit I rented for over a year. I was told my rate would be prorated if I were to take belongings out of unit mid month. I have used this facility my entire time while living in Waco. I will never come here again. I will also be making sure to let everyone know this property does NOT honor contracts.

JENNIFER M.When trying to set up U-Haul containers to be delivered to my address the week before moving 12/13/21 I was told they didn't deliver to my address. When I arranged for my truck and trailer to go to U-Haul facility and unload I was told they didn't know why bc they did deliver to my address. I received bills for 2 months after my move out date (even after contacting U-Haul and stating I had moved out December 20,2021). Worst experience ever. I will never use U-Haul again. Pods were supposed to be easier for my cross country move. I would've been better off renting a moving company then giving U-Haul my business.

RONALD S. | Overall ExperienceThey didn't have the equipment I asked for in my reservation, there was a lock on the trailer I had to wait for them to cut off, their saw died, had to go to another location to pick up the rest of my equipment and wait again for them to cut off the lock, then clean out the trailer. First location was completely unorganized and hadn't checked the trailer or on equipment reservation.

ALI R.I had two blowouts on the drive with a third tire having nails in it (not from me). The mirrors were loose and rattling making them unusable. I sat on the side of the road for 5 hours waiting for help. Once help arrived they were great but this was the worst moving experience of my life.

Not only that, but she lied to 3 other families/individuals about checking their rentals in, as well. The man (Kristopher West?) had to look for my rental the day after I returned the truck to check it in. I had returned the truck on the same day I rented it, but was charged an extra day's rental due to this major screw up. I will never deal with these people ever again.

We paid for dollies and blankets that were supposed to be in the vehicle when we picked it up. We were supposed to pick up our rented vehicle at 8 AM and we're not able to get it in with the equipment needed until close to 10.

Felicia P. | Overall ExperienceWe have used this facility twice. We booked indoor climate controlled unit. The first time was seemless and our things were in good shapre when we moved out. The scond time was not a good experience. We showed up in May with 2 car loads of things to store with a reservation that we booked on line. We were told that they would not honor that reservation for climate control as there were no left. We had to catch our plane so had not other choice but to take a larger non climate controlled bay that cost nearly double!! When i spoke to the manager they gave us a slight discount but did not make up for the difference. Also when we picked up our things many of the linens were ruined as they were covered with spiders grasshopers and had a smell that was not removed with washing. Unfortunately we can not risk booking with them again.

While I was reserving a U-Haul online i was given the opportunity to also select a storage and get the first month free. That is the ONLY reason I decided to reserve a storage. My confirmation and reservation on my app even said the first month would be free and my first payment isn’t due until next month, but of course after moving for hours and finally getting to Waco I was told my first month would not be free because I’m taking one of the last two available and of course I had already moved everything to the location and had no choice to stay unless I wanted to call and hope for a last minute stowage unit elsewhere. Extremely disappointed.
