The equipment had gas siphoned and it took extra time to check in and check out. It was very frustrating for myself and employee. I couldn't override the gas amount and the app tried to charge me. The employee had to help again. Lots of lost time that can be easily fixed. Also it had lots of wear and tear not documented so again, I lost lots of time. Otherwise, these employees are very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure people are helped quickly.Peggy S.
I had scheduled a 15 ft truck months in advance to move. I was told I would have this truck multiple times. When I called the day before pick up, I was told I would have to travel an extra 50+miles to pick up the 15 ft truck. I ended up getting a 10ft truck which was not enough space, hindering my moving process. This poor communication cost me extra money and a loss of property. I will likely not be using uhaul services anymore after this.Ethan R.
We dropped off the U-Haul at the same location that we picked it up. Therefore, the rental drop off location does not apply to us. However, Thomas at the Postal Annex where we picked up and dropped off the truck was Very helpful and nice.THURSTON S.

The trailer I rented had to be 40 years old. Door was very hard to open and closed. Needs a new door. Trailer looked very tired and should be retired.reid H.

First off when I arrived to pick up the haul the person before me was complaining that a homeless person was sleeping in the truck. They never cleaned up or snatitized the truck I know cause I waited at the register for them to come back.. Then I had a short trip from San Jose to gilroy and back to drop off the truck When I arrived to drop off the truck I was about it was about 5:05 p.m. but the staff did not want to help me even though i explained to them my phone is dead they just left and acted like I was not there. I put $15 in for gas before the drop and was short but your staff still charged me $50 for gas their is no way I was that many gallons short even @ $5 per gallon. Over all crazy over priced paid $250+ for your services. Staff was not helpful or kind I will never use this service again and am extremely disappointed.Gregory O.

I really want the APP experience to be better, but it frequently hangs/spins when uploading or storing pics. It also gives a "not connected to internet" message quite often - even when the signal is strong, or if I am on wi-fi. Also, the folks at the desk get cranky when you go to the head of the line to get the key. They always make me wait until the person in front changes their mind 17 times about truck size, insurance, dollies, boxes, and what not. SUGGESTIONS: 1. Leave the key for the APP assigned truck on a separate but accessible clipboard, and have us SIGN for it. 2. Provide WI-FI inside the shop so the app works smoother when you walk in, in case the connection outside is bad.Philip M.

The Uhaul truck was dirty outside while clean inside. The local operator said that is normal so we had to clean the machine ourselves since we were taking it to a customer site and did not want it to be so dirty.Vijay M.

In the past when I have rented this size truck at U-haul the vehicle was equipped with a built in ramp. The vehicle I was allotted this time had no ramp which I did not realize till we were loading. It would be helpful if the presence or absence of a ramp could be specified.Patricia J.
Really need to shorten the hold time waiting for a customer service rep. It's ridiculous on nite on hold 56 min. This morning an hour hold time. So all reps are on the phone for over an hour to help customers? When I finally got help we were off the line in apex 5 min. I rented truck at uhal in San Jose on alameda st. Then went to pickup my ubox. Alex & Alex & Andrew we're great @ Santa Clara UHAUL very professional, kind, listen to my concerns & helpful. It had been a nightmare since day one, finally on my last day I was helped by some great guys who are good at their jobs and understand the frustration and didn't cut me off or roll their eyes. They looked into each issue corrected the issues and apologized for all the inconvenience. They are some true gentlemen that understand how to listen and help fix the problem and explain calmly issues that were confusing. Finally guys who knew how to resolve a problem, rather than just brush off any situation. More UHAUL employees could learn how to treat customers by these 3 guys. They are good at their job. I hope UHAUL reconginize these 3 young men who made a ugly situation easier to deal with. Your app was trying to charge me an additional $110.95 for a storage I'm paid for till 7/30/21! I don't have the money to dish out for app errors. And trying to reach chat, or by the phone, , is a joke. Cause no one answers the phone, chat throws you off the chat by saying your times expired. It's so frustrating & time consuming. I've worked for a freight company & air freight company so I know how unacceptable it is to treat customer like they are not important enough to listen too. We are the people who keep your business busy. I don't understand why UHAUL treat people as if our concerns are not important. That's how I felt from the first day and so on. I cringed every time I had to try to get help to where I gave up and was so frustrated and mad. It's not all employees, however I seemed to get someone who didn't care to listen. And the recording is a joke saying you'll be help as soon as csr is available!! All csr must of been helping customers for 1 hour or just didn't answer calls! ! I know when they finally helped me we were done fast. Hopefully the next customer didn't have to hold for almost hour or so! Thx uKim G.

I called to arrange a Self check out before the location opened at 8 am. Upon arrival and self check webapp indicated I had to wait for another hour till 9am for a person to check in after location opens. I specifically asked and checked w the agent if this was possible. While seeing a staff arrive at 8:30 am I explained and they did not attempt to check until they officially opened. At 8:59 I was told To wait until they opened at 9 am. I was told all Trucks were Out yesterday and no one â€œpreppedâ€ my self Check .I was told by a phone agent when I called before 9 am that location had. I self Check. Conflicting info. Not professional as I had movers waiting around over an hour. I asked to be compensated for my lost time and nothing was done No apology. I asked for a comp hand truck - and again told manager returns Monday. no apology. With the stress this caused, this place with such cavalier attitudes should not be in business. Go elsewhere .Amy H.

It has nothing to do with the location per se. Uhaul "Roadside Assistance" is a myth. It does not exist. And the local outlets are not well trained. For instance, should you lose a key, you will get funny looks from everyone and you'll spent the next 3 days getting a new one. Truly bad.T B.

Remove the employee who was rude, immature, embarrassing, and whose behavior and treatment of the paying customer was cause for that customer to cancel his purchase and walk out. This complaint pertains to order #27442692 which cannot accept a review. I returned the next day and used the self help app to avoid your employee.Steven T.

The gentleman who helped give me â€œdirectionsâ€ as I backed up my truck to hook up the auto transport trailer didn't know what he was doing. He only waved his fingers toward himself, in a sort of â€œcome hereâ€ motion. He did not indicate if I needed to shift right or left to line up the ball and hitch. It would have been helpful if he indicated which directions I needed to change and when I needed to stop. He also let the break connection cables hang and didn't hook up the chains correctly.WAYNE B.

trailer strap was broken for one of the tie downs, trailer positioning for the car is too far forward for a 4000lb car. Trailer was clean otherwise ans staff was friendly. Had I not already owned and used my own tiedowns I would have been not able to use this trailer.THOMAS W.

The only negative is that the man who put my furniture dolly & hand truck in the back of the truck, DIDN'T CLOSE the back & the hand truck FELL OUT, but as I left the parking lot (thank God)! -A person behind me on the road closed it, but didn't know the hand truck was missing till I got home. I panicked thinking it fell out on the road, and NOBODY FROM THE STORE CALLED TO TELL ME OTHERWISE! I tried multiple times to contact them but phones were forwarded to CS (& they were NOT busy). Finally, a CSR emailed them about this, asking them to call me...STILL NOBODY CALLED. It wasn't till I returned the truck that the guy who checked me in at the bay said, "it fell out in the parking lot," but I wouldn't be charged. OK great, but why wouldn't someone have called me so I wouldn't have worried? - He didn't know the answer & said the manager would be in on Monday. (There needs to be a manager in on weekends!)Robin V.
