At first there was no reservation for me and I had done it on online and then again on phone 1/2 hour before I got there. Big fiasco. But they finally came thru which I was thankful for bc nothing went well the whole day! U-haul has always been very accommodating for me so I was surprised that the two reservations I made failed. Guess you should ALWAYS double check your reservations!!!

The reservation process online was an absolute nigtmare; ended up calling in beacuase en the location couldn't book on line either; then took 45 mins talking to a lady whom wouldn't stop talking for 5 seconds... Absoluetly insane, almost left and went to a competitor... Crazy, please fix it, and streamline...

This location was was fine but was not the location I was told by the uhaul rep to go to. I was told to go to Empire st in San Jose and was dropped off there to pick up the truck and was told that I was at the wrong location and they could not rent to me even so they had trucks there. I was stranded because my daughter already left to go to the apartment so I had to take a lyft to the Alamaden location. Also the night before this reservation I had made a reservation at the Curtner location in San Jose to pick a truck that evening and I live 60 miles away and explained to the uhaul rep that I would not be able to be there by the closing time so my daughter was going to pick up the truck but I needed to pay for it because she did not have the money and the girl said no problem and took my cc info but when my daughter went to pick up the truck they wanted her to pay and she had no money to pay and the employee would not allow me to pay over the phone because he said I physically had to be there which I was not told by the uhaul rep and I could have made other arrangements for payment from a family member if that was told to me. This made things so much more inconvenient and stressful for us as we were moving my daughter out of an apartment because of a domestic situation.

The sign on the side of the truck I rented said $19.95. In the end I paid over $150.00. So genius, why don’t you tell me what you could improve. I will never use your trucks again. I will also express my feelings on Twitter, FB and instagram. Everything about your company says your board is shorting their stocks.

The Sales person who help me ,tried to give me the worst dolly I have ever saw before,,, but returning the dolly ,everything was good,different sales person,I Guess,,, ,

The location would benefit with signage telling customers how to access the lot. The area is u- turn restricted and, as I found out, it requires a series of turns and an around- the-block if you approach from the wrong direction. This presents a challenge when towing a trailer.

On the last day of the month, probably your busiest day, there was a line offer 30 minutes wait! Even for returns and reservations. You shoukd stsff up accordingly. The guys that were there did excellent under the conditions.

Truck smelled like chemicals/ like a can of raid had been sprayed in there and gave me a horrible headache.... I had to return the truck ... also I never received the blankets and have 3 witnesses that also are aware they were never in the truck ...

Seemed to be understaffed so staff were rushed and made mistake in the # of blankets we were given. I did not find out about it until I unpacked the truck as the mover helpers we hired through Uhaul did all the blanket wrapping.

I had an issue of waiting till 945 to be able to get my truck, and the gas tank was at 1/8th. Other than that the two guys working did a great job, even though they were really understaffed.

Not transfer my reservation from one to another without a big warning before I accept it; so I don't show up at a nearby U-Haul to find out that my reservation has been transferred across town (how convenient and profitable for U-Haul since you charge 99 cents a mile); there was basically no customer parking - forcing me to park on the street (where conveniently U-Haul would have no liability); even though I had a reservation - the line was very long (2 check out spots for a very busy U-Haul, and the worker had to leave the check out to go get the vehicles themselves - making the wait even longer on a busy Saturday morning); I had reserved the vehicle for 8 hours and had to demand that the time be pushed out a half hour to make up for the half hour I wasted in line. When I got the vehicle and had left, I discovered that the driver's side window control did not work properly. Should have rented from Lowes or Home Depot.
