I had ordered for a utility dally with my reservation. However, it wasn't provided to me and I was even charged for it in spite of calling them immediately and letting them know that I haven't received it. This is a big thing to improve on.

The computer system was down and so the wait time was very long to receive my reserved van. Also the van was very dirty on the inside - they offered to blow off the dirt when we finally got the van but after waiting 45 minutes for the van we had to get going and start loading the van for the move.

Use this location all the time, it is well run and has always been good to me



Less than excellent ratings due to the fact that it is very difficult to get in and out of the facility. We had a 26' truck that was tough to get to the right place to return and then, one returned, it was tough to get our car out since someone was returning and another customer was buying propane. Need better flow!

I had reserved a auto-transport at my local U-Haul in Los Gatos. The night before my pickup, I receive an email informing me that my reservation was changed to the San Jose location on The Alameda. This was not a big distance, but a bit of an inconvenience since I was caring for our young children that morning. I used the transport for two days and three and a half hours. I requested some consideration for my troubles and hoped to receive a proration for the third day of rental to reflect my actual three and a half hours of use. Alas, that did not happen. My other local rental shop, A1, does offer daily and hourly charges. My U-Haul experience was salvaged by the excellent efforts by the gentlemen at the San Jose store.

I checked in for the truck via your online app, then had to go inside the store (in line) and still wait 20 minutes for someone to give me the keys. I think you miss understand the purpose of online procedures. People use them so they do not have to wait in line to speak to someone.

When a customer reserves a late night pick-up, have the vehicle ready. My Uber driver, dropped me off Sunday for 8 PM pickup and my van was not available. I called the local number given via ap and customer service and then finally the local person called back and came to the location to get me going.

Only 2 people are working there. 6 customers in line. I waited 20mins to be helped. I was 3rd in line. Javier who helped me was very quick and efficient, he did the best he could to get the line moving. In out process was pleasent, but they need a few more people there to help out.

Truck wasn't completely ready and the start of the day at 7AM became 7:30. No real biggy but a little annoying as 30 minutes meant, 45 longer in traffic. :-(

It was upsetting to see a corporation the size of Uhaul, updating software during business hours. The staff was struggling to help customers, due to not being able to use computers. I witnessed a few customers leave, unhappy that they could not rent. I asked the employee why he wanted me to make a reservation online? His response "I. T. Upgrading software". I responded most big companies do that during closed hours. Disappointed that uhaul does that during business hours. You lost a few customers for not thinking that through. Suggest you do upgrades after hours. Less disruptive to your service, business, and not stressing out your staff. Limiting your on site staff to provide awesome service. Is asking for bad ORM. Online reputation management. I would have rated excellent. If it did not take so long, due to your I.T practices

They tried to charge me $80 more ($124 total) than what I was suppose to be charged even though they saw that I drove less than 15 miles. I was shocked and asked why it was so much because I rented it for two hours and he quietly changed the price and walked away quickly after I accepted the acual price I was suppose to be charged. I will never come back here, and I will never reccomend this location, as well as many other Uhaul locations. Thanks for trying to rip me off!!!!!
